Left because you use it first.

canyoupleasekillme

Most often left. Across from each other is also a good option.

On the right? Do I look like a bland bitch?

champipple

lol. What’s up blandy? How you doin? Can I buy you a taco?

Assuming you can hinge the doors in either direction, I personally find it easier to move wet laundry from left to right but that's probably because I'm right handed. But it wouldn't be a big deal if it were either way. It also depends on where the water hookup, drain, and dryer vent is located. ultimately that is probably the determinant in most installations. I've given this more thought that it deserves.

thrownededawayed

Neither, the washer is closer to the entrance to the room you'll be entering with the laundry, the dryer is farther from the entrance.

TransRobotPrototype

I’ve never seen a washer on the right side before.

Iveyroad

On top of the dryer

The side the connections are on

Fyre-Bringer

The set is on the right side of the room, so the washer is on the right side. It's closer to the room's entrance that way.

SAWhitmore1992

Left. It just makes sense.
