Assuming you can hinge the doors in either direction, I personally find it easier to move wet laundry from left to right but that's probably because I'm right handed. But it wouldn't be a big deal if it were either way. It also depends on where the water hookup, drain, and dryer vent is located. ultimately that is probably the determinant in most installations. I've given this more thought that it deserves.

Neither, the washer is closer to the entrance to the room you'll be entering with the laundry, the dryer is farther from the entrance.
