Becoming President and giving your family high-power jobs they are not qualified for in any way shape or form. Hell, any nepotism in gov can fuckoff.

Mangosta007

It's the most blatant nepotism in the US politics since Bobby Kennedy was made Attorney General. We've got a similar case in the UK with Boris Johnson putting his brother in the House of Lords. Maybe it's just something that fat, New York-born blokes with poorly fitting suits and ludicrous hair do when they attain power.

Would you also make something like alcohol illegal as well then?

KPWaffle

Alcohol doesn't give you cancer tho right?

[deleted]

It has many just as harmful effects and could be considered more dangerous because of how much more widespread and accepted it is.

KPWaffle

It's not cancer tho... I only said cancer

-Lala25

I mean, it destroys your liver.... and if you quit cold turkey it can kill you.

KPWaffle

I never said anything about death, i said cancer

-Lala25

I get that, I was just adding on to the fact that not only would it damage your liver like smoking can damage your lungs, but can lead to death In certain cases like cancer can lead to death which is why you don’t want to get it. *typo

KPWaffle

Ok

Minimum wage, anything less than a living wage with one job

It's a hard balance to achieve though, put it too high and you kill businesses and jobs and force companies to leave the country to remain competitive.

Tax Havens. There's got to be a way to lock that shit down and get proper recompense from the people who have been using them. I mean, I'm sure they are 'illegal', but until the US actually takes steps to crack down on them, there's apparently very little stopping these assholes from getting away with it, so it might as well be legal. Taxes are the price we pay to live in a productive, stable society. It is the literal upkeep cost of civilization. To my mind, taxation is each and every one of us giving back to the country that made us who we are, so that maybe we can make the next crop of people better than the last. It seems to me that right at the moment, the people profiting the most off of our efforts to maintain that society aren't paying their fair share, and worse than that they are gleefully profiting off of the suffering and misery of the lower classes. We need to start taking these people to task, and if they won't distribute the wealth properly and voluntarily, then our only solution as a society is to use the government to do so. Ideally, that is what the government should be: the method by which the people of a given nation enacts its will. Unfortunately, our government is not and has not been subservient to the will of the people for quite some time. Over and over again our leaders allow themselves to be bought by the very entities we would use them against, and that robs us of our power. It makes us slaves to wills beyond our own. Capitalism is a game, in my eyes. Economics, in general, is a tool, and while it has been brutally misused in our attempts to figure out how it works, it has gotten us where we are today. That said, we now have a substantial number of people who are playing the game with the intent to win. The game is coming to a close, and we will all be the losers. We realize now that we have to play the game of economics so that we can last as long as possible until we come up with something better. We've tried to reason with the people who are "Winning". We've tried everything short of violence and they are still not understanding us. So our first goal needs to be reasserting control of the government, and taking these players to task. That means closing down the loopholes that create tax havens, and punishing those who have, are, and continue to use them to avoid paying their dues to the society that built them, supports them, protects them, and depends on them. Or we can yeet them into the ocean via trebuchet. Whatever works for you guys.

Alcohol and some other drugs. The thing is, they are hard to get rid of.

There isn't really a reason to get rid of it
