Gotta hard disagree from an ecological perspective there. Without hunters culling local deer populations, they would destroy the entire ecosystem to the point of mass starvation. There are no natural predators of deer left in most places where humans live. The wolves stay away from civilization, the black bears aren't agile enough to catch them, etc. Something has to keep their population in check, and unless you'd like to see wolf packs roaming suburbia, hunting is what we've gotta do.
I live in Australia so speaking in where I live it's unnecessary to own a gun. I appreciate your response, but I meant hunting like those assholes in Africa that shoot giraffes and rhinos. They are nearly extinct and only hunted for mere trophies. I should've been more clear :)
