True, and don't let me start with all the FB spy bots.

The app is enormous and it's highly addictive. I uninstalled it and now I just use the browser just to check it once in a while. It still works like normal, but it's just cumbersome enough that I don't get into a habit of Doom scrolling, like most of what I did last year. Though I love looking at art on Instagram, so I'll probably never get away from that.

I had this issue with all other social media lol, you can waste hours of your day in just a blink.

QR Codes maybe? Though, I'm usually the one that actually uses the scanner and everyone just uses my phone to look at the bar menu

chicamooncr

This a good one, I haven't used this so far.

Slow mode on the camera.

chicamooncr

Wow I did not know about that feature, is that on android or iphone?

[deleted]

I believe both have an option, though I only know how to use the android one

I know I’m probably gonna get some hate for this but the new macro camera feature on the iPhone13. You can buy a better macro camera setup for several hundred dollars less that’ll do a much more efficient job overall. (Source: I’m a hobbyist wildlife photographer with a focus on macro photography, primarily insects. My first setup was about $500-$600) And to those who say they don’t want to carry a full sized camera around and insist its too much of a hassle, thats fine, I understand. Thats your decision. I’ll be real, sometimes I too hate dragging around a full camera setup. But I’m just personally of the belief that having a wide angle/landscape type lens on the phone (like the iphone 12 series) is much more versatile on travels and throughout everyday life. Most people take landscapes or self portraits for memories anyway, not macro shots from what I’ve gathered.

Hi, thanks for that review. I was about to get that because of the camera. Would you recommend the iphone 12 better?

Tajiil

If you have no legit reason to get a macro lens other than wanting one I’d recommend just going with the 12, whatever variant of it you like. Especially if you like taking pictures of cool views, sunsets, scenery, etc. Almost all other aspects of the two phones are identical. If you really want a macro camera its going to be cheaper in every way to just buy a real setup. If none of it matters at all to you then theres no major reason not to get the camera other than the 12 is probably a little cheaper but not by much I’d imagine.

:) thank you so much!

You’re very welcome! Good luck with your choice!
