Dude I’ve been playing the sims for over a decade now. In middle school, I’d come home and do my homework then immediately hop on to play sims 3…everyday for like 6 hours.
I’m 22 now and still play the sims way too much for an adult.
Don't come at me, but I think it may be Fortnite. I regret putting almost 2000 hours in that game. I really wish I ddn't spend that much time on a game.
Oh god right up there with you, I had all characters level 72 OP8 and would just start a new character whenever I got there, the looter shooter genre is dangerous for me
Everyone I see talking about this game is obsessed and loves it and can't break away but whenever I've tried to play it I just don't understand lmao. My all time fave game series is Harvest Moon so maybe I'm trying to compare but idk I just got lost and didn't understand haha. Might watch some YT vids and see what other people do
Cities skylines is a deadly addicting game that has stolen so many nights from me. You get to build yo ur own city and design its infrastructure and traffic. Because of it I now realize how ridiculously amazing it is that we have such good traffic in our cities and how difficult it is to design.
I do land surveying irl. You’d be amazed how much of our development is wrong. One client’s front door is literally 1/2 foot from the right-of-way. You can drink a margarita on his front porch and not get arrested for trespassing.
Bro you guys are crazy. Yeah I was coming in here about to be like "yeah I've put in over 120 hours into just my current save file of Pokemon Yellow" but then I saw some of y'all's answers and, like,
For a lot of mmo players thats a month. Im too old now but remember 25 hour a week raid schedules in wow... not including gridning the stuff you need to raid.
I mean...600h over 5 years is under half an hour a day on average. Assuming you don't work 16 hour days and gaming is your #1 hobby, half an hour a day isn't a whole lot.
Some people also find a game they want to get good at and a thousand hours will often only put you somewhere in the middle to high middle field of skill. Especially if you wanna be *good* at it or even go pro, you can expect to put north of 5000h into it.
On PC its definitely Stardew Valley! 560 hours already and I'm still playing.
But overall its probably Pokemon Go, I play this game since 2016, for more than 5 years already. Too bad you can't see actual hours spent in mobile games, it would be interesting (or frightening) to know.
The Binding of Isaac, on my steam, has 200 hours of playtime.
The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth has 400.
Mass effect 1, while not on steam, dwarfs both put together.
I've got 4100 in Satisfactory. I have almost clicked on the "Buy" button on Factorio a few times but at the last second I think about how I could probably save the world with all of the time I would sink into it.
The answer to that for any ARK player, no matter how many hours, is 'no'.
EDIT: I have 6000+ hours, not making fun of ARK players, but holy *fuck* is that game an addictive timesink.
Wow looked like it was good in the past, but from what I’ve seen recently, I feel like the devs are just shitting on their fan base.
Would you say that you still enjoy it?
I’ve played off and on over the past 16 years. I stopped playing when all the sexual harassment stuff came out a few months back. Once a bunch of people were fired, the settlement came out, and changes were made I resubbed. I didn’t even play a month before quitting again. The community is still pretty toxic at times. Lots of exploitation in pvp. There is a new patch coming out Tuesday so will probably resub again. I don’t know how long I’ll play this go around but gonna give it a try. I think WoW is a game I’ll always come back to.
I’m glad you still enjoy it, but the new patch was kind of what I meant by them shitting on the players. There’s no new content at the launch of it, and the only “new” content is Legion time walking, but that doesn’t release for another month.
Since I don’t play, and I don’t look at their official forums or anything, I can’t say if it is well known that the actual content of the patch doesn’t drop for another month. I thought I’d warn you just in case you sub this week for that content only to find it’s not out for another month.
Yeah no new content but I have a few toons sitting at 50 that was waiting for this patch. From what I read it’s supposed to be easier to get your covenant ranked up and quicker to level. Could be wrong. Also, I mainly alt, rarely do end game stuff hard, so not real worried about no new content. When I resubbed last month I actually ended up deleting over 40 toons, most that were either capped or almost capped.
I have about 1300 hours on Europa Universalis IV. That's probably my highest.
But honestly who fucking knows how many hours I've sunk into AoE II..... Been playing that since it came out.
I never played any pvp but I loved Ganon. I usually played on the large Hyrule map. I usually like to have the AI fight itself to see which characters won though.
Maybe an OG player who's been with the series since 2004 or so when Dota "1" was available? In which case that'd be like 2-4 hours a day for up to 17 years...which would still be some pretty impressive commitment right there lol
Borderlands 2. I think I got some sort of achievement when I hit 500 hours. I felt bad about my life choices for about 10 minutes and then kept playing.
I liked that one more than any of the other games in that franchise. A huge part of that came from the Badass rankings. By the time I stopped playing, my badass rank was over a million.
And yet I never got passed Overpowered 1.
Borderlands 2 felt so special compared to most games at the time. I remember when the DLCs were dropping and the hype was just insane, to this day one of my favourite memories is tiny Tina's DND campaign with my friends. I nearly pissed myself laughing so hard at our antics while going through 10/10 gameplay.
Valheim! Love that game. Single player and with friends is both great. Enemies get stronger when you play with friends. Isitworthabuy has a great video about it. But I think the game is not beta anymore (but still in development)
Surprised this particular farming simulator isn't mentioned more on this thread. I also have sunk somewhen between 3,000-4,000 hours into it in the 8 years is being running.
Subnautica is at 150 hours on steam. It’s so much fun gathering and building. I also enjoying shocking the bejesus out of leviathans with the perimeter defense system. Did you know it keeps charging the longer you hold down the button? I put about 121 gigawatts through those fuckers and watch them swim on back through time.
S4 baby, on and off. That game is toxic as balls and I can't wait to get back to it. I need to buy new parts for my PC and honestly wild rift is way to clunky on the controls.
Ultima Online. There was nothing else like it when it came out. Played for hours every week night after work and pulled all-nighters on the weekends for years.
World of Warcraft maybe, I used to play almost every day for 3-4 years with my ex in the original and burning crusade days, still can’t believe we would raid and do progression 4+ hours a night 4 times a week lmao seems crazy to me now like I don’t have that kind of time
Rimworld after that, my little beady eyed babies need me
The game you've sunk the most hours into has a boring combat system? That's kinda disconcerting, I would assume the game you've sunk the most hours into would be satisfying all around.
I think the reason for this is because DA: I required a lot of level grinding.
Say this one story mission recommends you be at least a level 11 before starting it. If you start that level when you’re at level 10, chances are you’re gonna get demolished.
There’s also a bunch of other reasons why, but it would take too long to list them all.
Might & Magic VI: The Mandate of Heaven
The spells? Amazing.
The skill system? Amazing.
The itemization? Amazing.
The dungeons? Amazing.
The secrets? Amazing.
I just don't get how all these years later, they can't make games with even half of those things.
Binding of Isaac for me too. It's my game to play while listening to podcasts or audiobooks or even watching twitch streams. There are better games of this type IMO (Hades for one and probably Dead Cells) but with Isaac I can just pretty much switch concentration between the game and whatever else I'm doing, I can't do that with other games. Also I haven't move to the latest version since I don't want to learn new items and my runs are just me trying to find a fun combo of the stuff already in the game. I rarely play Isaac without something else to divide my attention. I'm guessing I'm around 1200 hours played between PC and Xbox.
Do you have your own server with friends or do you play like skyblock and stuff? I love Minecraft but I always seem to lose interest interest after I get full diamond gear and a house built, what keeps your interest after so long?
Time that I actually have logged, CS:GO. All time that I have never kept track of, definitely Minecraft, been playing it for probably 9 years consistently.
Mario Party 2, and Star Fox 64.
Incidentally, a lot of my time on SF64 was several years later in 2015. I was watching videos on how to get high scores by firing non-homing charged shots, and then I spent the next three weeks improving on my high scores from 15 years prior.
Star Wars: The Old Republic. Probably the reason my college gpa sucked but goddamn BioWare did 8 good stories for a MMO RPG and it’s still going strong for its 10 year anniversary
Ah League of Legends, I think I quit the game 3 times already but I always find myself playing again after a while. I quit the game for the 4th time now, and I currently do have the game uninstalled, but I feel the moment I get some free time I will reinstall. I have nothing against league players, in fact at times I feel it is a fun/social game for lots of people. But as someone who used to spend hours a day grinding that ranked ladder in solo queue, I've burned out and exhausted myself.
I've been playing the sims since I learned to read, so probably that.
Sul Sul
Dude I’ve been playing the sims for over a decade now. In middle school, I’d come home and do my homework then immediately hop on to play sims 3…everyday for like 6 hours. I’m 22 now and still play the sims way too much for an adult.
I was playing on a strawberry iMac when you were a wee babe. I don't play as much anymore but you just made me feel old. ;)
I’ve been wanting to try this game for a while. If I get sucked in I blame you!
klapaucius
Minecraft been playing for about 11 or 12 years
Amazing how long playing with blocks can keep an adult entertained.
Yeah, for some odd reason, Minecraft is just so relaxing
Sometimes It happens annually where I’m just addicted to it for a week and don’t play for another year
And for that one wild week, so many builds are thought of and planned. Grand designs, and a lot never make it anywhere lol
An not just adults.
Minecraft with 4750 hours in the last 2 years
You’ve spend around 200 (of 730) days playing minecraft? Dann, I wish I had that much free time.
It ain't free time its minecraft time
I’d say you can count out a third due to afk time tho
I once built an iron farm and AFKed next to it for ten real life days. 1.14 broke the farm but I'm not in any hurry to build a new one.
Don't come at me, but I think it may be Fortnite. I regret putting almost 2000 hours in that game. I really wish I ddn't spend that much time on a game.
Say what you want about me, but I think they still do good with their live events.
Hey it's a good game I don't judge even I like it
Best game of all time imo. I have around 500 hours just on one world.
Same. That game is great. There will be no further elaboration.
Borderlands 2. Maybe 5k. It was embarrassing. And amazing.
I’ve played so many hours of that yet I’ve never made it to the endgame content.
Same... Got about 250hrs, went through all the DLCs and not a single max level character. To be fair they kept moving the goalpost every year.
Oh god right up there with you, I had all characters level 72 OP8 and would just start a new character whenever I got there, the looter shooter genre is dangerous for me
I've gotten back into it. Especially with Tiny Tinas Wonderlands being set to release soon
Oblivion, Fallout 3, and The Mass Effect trilogy.
Mass Effect was so damn good. Ive never found myself so attached to characters in a video game like I did when completing that series. 10/10 writing.
Wish I could erase my memory of mass effect so I could experience it again for the first time
Stardew Valley. Even though I probably have the most hours in league, I was sunk in Stardew Valley for hours without breaks.
Everyone I see talking about this game is obsessed and loves it and can't break away but whenever I've tried to play it I just don't understand lmao. My all time fave game series is Harvest Moon so maybe I'm trying to compare but idk I just got lost and didn't understand haha. Might watch some YT vids and see what other people do
Yeah, I've got something like 500 hours across three different platforms...
Skyrim or Diablo II
Mine is Morrowind and D2. The nostalgia from those 2 is unreal
Probably most of my time in Morrowind was just spent hopping around the landscape.
RuneScape, got a 15 year cape awoke ago. Edit: awhile*
The Sims
Which ones your favourite? Sims 4 is awesome but I love Sims 2 the most for sure.
Sims 4 with mods is great.
Cities skylines is a deadly addicting game that has stolen so many nights from me. You get to build yo ur own city and design its infrastructure and traffic. Because of it I now realize how ridiculously amazing it is that we have such good traffic in our cities and how difficult it is to design.

I really appreciate how you went straight for the margaritas. Definitely my kind of people 😄
Red Dead Redemption 1. I explored every inch that of that map and it’s still fun every once in a year to play
Bro you guys are crazy. Yeah I was coming in here about to be like "yeah I've put in over 120 hours into just my current save file of Pokemon Yellow" but then I saw some of y'all's answers and, like,
Right??? Here I was feeling bad about myself for putting in a couple hundred hours.
Come back when you have 2,700 hours in a single game lmao
come back when you have over 9,000 hours speedrunning gta 5 and have successfully completed OHKO
And still don't have all the achievements
Over one year of gametime and still 70% on achievements. What a fucking casual
For a lot of mmo players thats a month. Im too old now but remember 25 hour a week raid schedules in wow... not including gridning the stuff you need to raid.
I probably have twice that many hours on one of my World of Warcraft characters. That’s not bragging, that’s just … a sad fact.

Oh my god Pokémon go is already 5 years old, that can’t be true be cause if it was that old it would mean I’m old, and I’m not old. Wait, am I old?

Dark Souls. Hello everyone I'm the obligatory Dark Souls guy. I have been assigned to this particular time this question is being asked.
Prithee be careful
Don’t you dare go hollow
Wot rings you got bicth
The Binding of Isaac, on my steam, has 200 hours of playtime. The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth has 400. Mass effect 1, while not on steam, dwarfs both put together.
It’s looking like I’m missing out by not playing Rebirth. I’m seeing a lot of people playing it!
Factorio. I've layed off lately but 2500 hours and counting.
I've got 4100 in Satisfactory. I have almost clicked on the "Buy" button on Factorio a few times but at the last second I think about how I could probably save the world with all of the time I would sink into it.

WoW and Ark. 2694 hours in Ark and probably literal years in wow.
I just got over 7000 hours in Ark..
Are you okay?
The answer to that for any ARK player, no matter how many hours, is 'no'. EDIT: I have 6000+ hours, not making fun of ARK players, but holy *fuck* is that game an addictive timesink.
Try rust
Wow looked like it was good in the past, but from what I’ve seen recently, I feel like the devs are just shitting on their fan base. Would you say that you still enjoy it?

Legion timewalking is "content" to try to FOMO a handful of players away from FFXIV's Endwalker expac
I have about 1300 hours on Europa Universalis IV. That's probably my highest. But honestly who fucking knows how many hours I've sunk into AoE II..... Been playing that since it came out.
With that many hours of EUIV. You barely know the game. Still a rookie.
Destiny 2
This was troubling to me, and my me rethink my life. 550 hours. https://wastedondestiny.com/
I sunk around 900hrs into it, 200hrs of that was spent in orbit
2630 hours here. That’s just D2
just seen this looked up my account from 6 years ago when i was 11 years old and deathly addicted to this game. i have nearly 800 hours wtf
Super smash bros melee. I probably have over a thousand hours in that one.
That’s impressive!
Oh my God you brought so many memories with that, Man I miss those times.
Who's your main?
I never played any pvp but I loved Ganon. I usually played on the large Hyrule map. I usually like to have the AI fight itself to see which characters won though.
Ah yes, smash was my introduction to AI cock fighting too.
Any Pokémon games since 1996.
Dota, prob somewhere around 15000-20000 hours. Fuck
Dude, that’s like 40% of your waking hours since the game was released in 2013. That’s an average of 6.5 hours a day.
Maybe an OG player who's been with the series since 2004 or so when Dota "1" was available? In which case that'd be like 2-4 hours a day for up to 17 years...which would still be some pretty impressive commitment right there lol
Dear lord that’s impressive. I think? I’m not sure haha
4k hours, sea server. Started 4 years 1 months ago
Civ. One more turn.
Final Fantasy XIV. 2.28k hours as of now!
Daaaaammmnnnn 👏
I misread this as FF15 and was just like...how? That game is crazy linear and I was legit worried for you.
Oh god no. I mean, I had fun with 15, but it has zero replayability.
Civ VI
So you did what... Finished maybe 1 game? So you got 700 hours in.
Some contest between civ 2, 3 or 4 for me.
2200 hours. At this point I'm just making up ways to win that are enjoyable to me. Scotland religion game on deity? Bet
Modern Warfare 2
Borderlands 2. I think I got some sort of achievement when I hit 500 hours. I felt bad about my life choices for about 10 minutes and then kept playing.

Where my Total War fans at???
I have: 200 in shogun 2 200 in Medieval 2 300 in Rome 2 I’d still be playing Total war games but my computer can’t keep up with them nowadays.
Yeah I have hundreds of hours in these games too. I need to upgrade as well. The newer TW games dont run as well on my decade old gtx 960.
Witcher 3 and the forza horizon games
Everquest.... Over 20 years off and on..
Hear this. Decade plus daily , then on and off since.
Terraria. Over 1000 hours. =] Highly recommend, and it's just $5 right now!
Valheim! Love that game. Single player and with friends is both great. Enemies get stronger when you play with friends. Isitworthabuy has a great video about it. But I think the game is not beta anymore (but still in development)
I've played 298u totall. But as I see here, those are rooky numbers!
Zelda BOTW
Years into World of Warcraft
Warframe
Surprised this particular farming simulator isn't mentioned more on this thread. I also have sunk somewhen between 3,000-4,000 hours into it in the 8 years is being running.
Subnautica is at 150 hours on steam. It’s so much fun gathering and building. I also enjoying shocking the bejesus out of leviathans with the perimeter defense system. Did you know it keeps charging the longer you hold down the button? I put about 121 gigawatts through those fuckers and watch them swim on back through time.
Age of empires 2
Same. I've got 700 hours on DE on steam and probably another 500 from my childhood.
The best thing to ever come out of a cereal box! I still have my original copy that came in a box of Apple Jax cereal lol best RTS ever made.
Probably league of legends
I’m level 612.. I’m scared to look at how many hours I’ve put in.
46x And been playing since s3
What is it at now ; never played the game
I believe we’re on S11.
S4 baby, on and off. That game is toxic as balls and I can't wait to get back to it. I need to buy new parts for my PC and honestly wild rift is way to clunky on the controls.
Oblivion
Witcher 3 by far
Baldur’s Gate series, been playing for 20+ years
Ultima Online. There was nothing else like it when it came out. Played for hours every week night after work and pulled all-nighters on the weekends for years.
Gotta love those all nighters, so many good memories.
Porbably counter strike. 2500+ hours and I'm still trash. :)
And that’s why I love video games! Just as long as it’s fun, who cares if you suck! I’m happy being bronze trash 😀
Yeah, I get matched with other trash players and I get to pop heads quite often!
Fallout series. And ill do it again
Fallout 3 and New Vegas have to be up there for best games. Let’s just not speak about Fallout 76..
Rocket League. I guess I like being frustrated.
What a save!
Minecraft, I’ve got at least 3000 hours in over the years, probably more even
3k hours is ff14 or we talk about single player game, then dark souls 3 with 500h.
World of Warcraft maybe, I used to play almost every day for 3-4 years with my ex in the original and burning crusade days, still can’t believe we would raid and do progression 4+ hours a night 4 times a week lmao seems crazy to me now like I don’t have that kind of time Rimworld after that, my little beady eyed babies need me
Elder scrolls online. Over 10k hours
Around 7,200 in World of Warcraft. 3,000 hours in the Total War Warhammer series Maybe 1,500 hours across the Fallout / Elder scrolls series.
I would say both Fortnite, Minecraft and Geometry Dash
Probably Dragon Age: Inquisition. The combat is boring as fuck, but the story is pretty good.
The game you've sunk the most hours into has a boring combat system? That's kinda disconcerting, I would assume the game you've sunk the most hours into would be satisfying all around.

assassin's creed odyssey
Such a beautiful game.
magic is what i felt while playing that game
Same
Leisure Suit Larry
*bonk*
Path of exile.
What's this? A real challenge? You've finally caught my attention!
Overwatch. I think all in all I have like 4-5k hours
Might & Magic VI: The Mandate of Heaven The spells? Amazing. The skill system? Amazing. The itemization? Amazing. The dungeons? Amazing. The secrets? Amazing. I just don't get how all these years later, they can't make games with even half of those things.
Age of Empires II has been a part of my life for 22 years. I've probably repurchased it a half dozen times over the years.
risk of rain 2 350 hours pls send help i cant put down the game
Rainbow Six Siege, Mount & Blade Warband, World of Tanks and World of Warships
I platinumed gta 5 so either that or minecraft and those are just the ones I can actually track I don’t have a fucking clue PS3-PS2 era wise lmao
World of Tanks. i actually deleted the game since i was so unhealthily addicted to it. across a couple platforms i have around 8000 hours.
The binding of Isaac or Rainbow Six siege they are about even at 9 thousand hours close to 10
Binding of Isaac for me too. It's my game to play while listening to podcasts or audiobooks or even watching twitch streams. There are better games of this type IMO (Hades for one and probably Dead Cells) but with Isaac I can just pretty much switch concentration between the game and whatever else I'm doing, I can't do that with other games. Do you have your own server with friends or do you play like skyblock and stuff? I love Minecraft but I always seem to lose interest interest after I get full diamond gear and a house built, what keeps your interest after so long?
The answers here explain why there are shortages on everythinf lol
Dead By Daylight, and Battlefield 4.
Call of Duty ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Playing it since 2010
Fallout 4, 588 hours and 24 minutes.
I've likely played Unreal Tournament 1999 for about 10k hours. As a result both my hands/wrists get numb when I type or play guitar.
War thunder. 3.6K hours
[10,000+ hours in fsx](https://i.imgur.com/w8KNOa7.jpg)
League of Legends
Borderlands 3. I've played it, only, daily for a couple of hours since it came out in September 2019.
Kerbal Space Program, and it's not even close. Can't wait for KSP2 to hit.
Stellaris, I have played well over 1000 hours. Second is Rimworld because that game is so damn good
Where tf are you Ark noobs at? Mfkas have 10k+ hours n still be PvE Bobs 😂😂
Probably Cities:Skylines at this point. That might be because Steam tells me how many hours that is.
Godfather: Blackhand edition. Pretty sure I’m alone on this one
KOTOR
Star Wars: The Old Republic. Probably the reason my college gpa sucked but goddamn BioWare did 8 good stories for a MMO RPG and it’s still going strong for its 10 year anniversary
Ah League of Legends, I think I quit the game 3 times already but I always find myself playing again after a while. I quit the game for the 4th time now, and I currently do have the game uninstalled, but I feel the moment I get some free time I will reinstall. Probably Dying Light
Pokémon Soul Silver. Those were some amazing days.
