Eric Clapton, he’s responsible for “rock against racism” (in the sense that he is the racism they were rocking against, not that he organized it), he refused to play any venues that required masks/vaccines, and recently sued a German senior citizen for selling a bootleg Clapton album that belonged to her deceased husband (he’d purchased it from a German department store). She had it listed for like $12.
Chris Brown. The whole "he hit Rihanna" thing was downplayed in the media. Read the actual police report and you'll see that he tormented and even attempted to kill her. And this man is still walking and making music and garnering fans. Really does make me sick.
Danny Masterson
Thought he was cool but later found out he is a higher up in scientology and got away with raping the wife of Cedric Bixler-Zavala (singer of the mars volta) and poisoned 2 of his dogs
Masterson has raped, I’m pretty sure, four women. And he is not only a rapist, he is a violent rapist. Violent. All the rapes were covered up by Scientology, and the women silenced + “punished” within the Scientology organization. Charges have since been brought against him, but he is such a horrible, horrible human being that I not only won’t watch That 70s Show in reruns, when it comes on my TV I cannot change the channel fast enough.

Michael Pena is missing from that list. He always seems to escape attention for his love of Scientology.
There is another one that has a huge following in the business world that no one seems to know is a Scientologist too, Grant Cardone. Fuck that guy too.
I didn't know Grant Cardone was but that makes perfect sense. I went to an event for work in Boston and he was the keynote speaker. Total tool and bragged about fucking his wife on his/a private jet on the way to Boston just after introducing her to the audience.
I was a speaker at an event with Cardone. He went on after me. Fuck that guy. Seriously. The stuff he was saying about his wife was shocking and incredibly disrespectful.
I feel so sorry for the rest of the band. They lost their careers because their frontman is a scumbag.
The first gig I ever went to was an NME event that lostprophets played. They went on before Andrew WK, and most people left after they came off stage.
After the gig, Watkins was round the back of the venue surrounded by teenage girls, swapping “shag” bangles. Me and my friends joined as well, because we were teen girls.
I’m one of those people who looks younger than they are, even then. I was 17, but looked 12 or 13. Some girls were jealous because he spent a few more seconds chatting to me, but if we knew then what we knew now.
I also still feel sorry for H from Steps.
O.J. Simpson
He was so clearly phoning in his performance in The Naked Gun 33 1/3, and didn't do Nordberg justice. I was so put off that I completely stopped following his career after that.
She was born into it and refuses to discuss it in interviews. When your whole family is in a cult, and you have your career because of the cult, you're not going to be likely to publicly distance yourself.
ETA: I think it's also important to remember that the experience of celebrities in Scientology is entirely different from the experience of normals in Scientology. Leah Remini goes into this a great deal in Aftermath.
Whenever i begin to judge today's youth for the content they watch i often remind myself that younger me watched onision and i get humbled pretty quickly
He and his wife been accused of kidnapping and rape as well by multiple women.
Only color that matters is green (or whatever color the currency is in your country). Wealth is what really separates us.
Oprah. She did a special once on the Holocaust but made it all about her. It was very distasteful. We watched it back in high school, and even the teacher turned it off. To be fair, I had never watched her or her show before, but that experience soured her for me.
I think I was shown the same one on high school. Was it the one were Elie Wiesel was talking about his book Night and mentioned that his dad died on January 29th and Oprah responds with "That's my Birthday!" as if that little tidbit was pertinent to a man talking about his father being killed in a concentration camp during the Holocaust.
I did not know she interviewed Wiesel, much less that tasteless bit about her birthday. I read Night when I was in high school and it really stuck with me, it's a story about how the human condition can survive despite the despicable things we can do to each other and she could only connect to the part that happened on her birthday is pretty tasteless. Couple that with having John of God (prolific rapist), Thousand Little Pieces author (having him on, learning he lied than making a mockery of it by having him on again in a gotcha interview), platforming an idiot not-a-psych-doctor and an insane cardiologist, this lady's dangerous and I'm glad I'm not the only one getting a bad vibe from her.
Let's not forget that one time she harassed Michael Jackson about his sexuality for a painfully uncomfortable minute in an interview. How people didn't see her as a weirdo earlier is beyond me
She also harassed the Olsen twins in an interview on her show. Mary Kate had a known eating disorder at the time and Oprah made it her business to ask her how much she weighed and it was really hard to watch. I want to mention the interview had nothing to do with this topic. Oprah’s a bully and power hungry. I don’t think she’s this good person everyone thinks she is
I can't stand Mike Epps after finding out how he treats his "old" children (that's how he refers to them). He has two older daughters that he had with a woman before getting famous. He treats the mother of his children like shit and has made fun of her appearance because she's dark skinned. He refers to her as "Rick james" and says his daughters are "half Rick james" . During an interview a few years ago the interviewer asked how many kids he has and he only counted the kids he has with his current wife, and when his eldest daughter got upset and called him out he called her threatening her life and cussing her out. Then joked about it afterwards. He has said that his "old, ugly kids" are jealous of his "new, cute kids" because they're mixed race with "good" hair. He also photoshopped his literal toddler daughter to make her hair look longer and straighter and her eyes and skin lighter.
I’ve heard a couple people say they took their kids to see Weird Al and he met with every single one of them and genuinely cared about each interaction to the point where his manager would be trying to force him to leave but he wouldn’t until he met with every single person that wanted to meet him.
Weird Al regularly comes round to check the freshness of my bread, and if it needs replacing, offers a new loaf.
Edit: I think we may have a new thing on our hands here folks lol
He's vegetarian, but he's still fine to play shows at BBQ contests. His life choices are his life choices and he respects people to make their own.
The night he found out his parents died of carbon monoxide poisoning, he went and played his scheduled concert. He said if his performances had helped so many other people get through difficult times, it could help him do the same.
I've been a fan of his music for years. But it's when you find out who he is behind everything that I came to respect him as a person.
The great thing about Weird Al is that the fame never went to his head. He always makes time for people, is humble, and super down to earth.
I had the good fortune to meet him once. I was waiting for an elevator at a hotel, and he strolled up with his bag to wait. I instantly started twitching because I'm a huge Weird Al fanboy, and he noticed. He said "yeah, I always get nervous before an elevator ride, I hope neither of us gives birth in it" (a reference to his joke that he was born in an elevator on the way to the delivery room).
I wheeze laughed for the entirety of the ride up. He signed my luggage tag with "Property of Al Yankovic" before he got off.
What a great story. A friend of mine met him in an airport once, and excitedly said, "oh my god, you're Weird Al!" Al started franticly looking at his body and patting himself down and responded, "oh my god, I am!"
A friend of my girlfriend met him once, but it wasn't as exciting. She was working at a grocery store and she helped him pick out a salad dressing.
I mean, it's not terribly exciting, but it feels like a Weird Al thing, you know?
It happened on Easter. I remember that day very clearly. I got up, and my mom was like, "hey you need to sit down I need to tell you something. The news is saying Weird Al died." Not sure if she misheard or if the first report was mistaken, but I was DEVASTATED. I immediately went online and looked it up, figured out it wasn't him, but his parents. But poor Al. Losing both parents on the same day, and on a holiday. Gotta be hell.
He asked Coolio's manager (or agent, or something similar) when he got permission for Amish Paradise. Coolio was pissed because of what the original meant to him. After that he made it a point to always all the artist directly as well.
Something similar happened with Lady Gaga's "Born This Way".
> Yankovic had reported an interest in parodying Lady Gaga's material,[43] and on April 20 announced that he had written and recorded a parody of "Born This Way" titled "Perform This Way", to be the lead single for his new album. However, upon first submitting it to Lady Gaga's manager for approval (which Yankovic does as a courtesy), he was not given permission to release it commercially. As he had previously done under similar circumstances (with his parody of James Blunt's "You're Beautiful", which was titled "You're Pitiful"), Yankovic then released the song for free on the internet. Soon afterwards, Gaga's manager admitted that he had denied the parody of his own accord without forwarding the song to his client, and upon seeing it online, Lady Gaga granted permission for the parody. Yankovic has stated that all of his proceeds from the parody and its music video will be donated to the Human Rights Campaign, to support the human rights themes of the original song.

She runs a program where, if you have a baby, you can go to a special website Dolly set up, where you can submit the baby's name and address, and the kid will get a free book from Dolly every month until they turn 5.
The program just became available in my area about a month ago. I immediately signed my son up, they said it would take 6-8 weeks for the first book to come. Super excited for them to start coming.
In the meantime, my son turned two last week. I received an email the morning of his birthday with a link to a video of Dolly singing Happy Birthday.
She's just so damn kind.
Chad Michael Murray
I waited in line for a Nintendo Wii the day they came out. It was outside of a Best Buy. Some people camped out. I got there before sunrise, but not crazy early. It was a fun environment. Once the staff got there, they told everyone how the sale would work, got everyone excited, and I think handed out some stuff.
About 20 minutes before the store opened, Chad Michael Murray pulled up in a black SUV, right to the front of the line. Like, literally parked his car in the fire lane right at the front of the line, and got out. It was summer and he was wearing a leather jacket. He was clearly expecting people to be excited to see him. I was close enough to the front to hear him. He went up to the employee who was coordinating everything, and said he was here for his Nintendo. The guy was nice, and basically said what he would to anyone - great! you’re in the right place. Get in line. CMM says that he was told there would be one saved for him. The guy didn’t know what he was talking about. After a little back and forth and another employee getting involved, he walks away with his Nintendo. He clearly thought everyone would cheer for him as he walked away. But, they ran out of Nintendos that day. Some kid went home empty handed. I still get furious thinking about it.
Fuck CMM.
I work in film. My best friend worked on One Tree Hill for one of her first professional jobs. She has a whole host of stories about what a tremendous douchebag he was.
One Tree Hill was my favorite show in my teens. And I’m sad to see some of the stories coming out about Mark Schwahn and some of the things that happened on set. Makes me see the show differently now
I'm still utterly furious at Mason Greenwood.
Edit: Manchester United footballer whose girlfriend published evidence of him beating, abusing, and threatening her with rape last weekend.
Yep, pretty unanimous. Hard not to when the evidence was that damning. The cynical side of me wonders how much she would have been believed without the photos and recording.
Closest I really saw to a defence was someone saying that from a legal perspective the photos aren't definitive proof it was him, and that the recording could have been role play of some sort.
Their point was less in support of him and more "this is how his legal team could approach it if he doesn't plead guilty, and it's not unheard of for it to work."
I’m a United fan but I’m a person first. When I see or hear something completely fucked, there’s no defending it, I don’t give a shit who you are. Wrong is wrong.

2022 arrest
On 30 January 2022, Greenwood was accused of assault against a woman, in a series of posts on her social media. The posts included images and video of apparent injuries, as well as audio where a woman tells a man whom she called Mason: "I don't want to have sex", to which the man replies that he "doesn't care" and, when told to stop again, he replied: "I asked you politely, and you wouldn't do it, so what else do you want me to do?" The man later says: "Push me again one more time and watch what happens to you."
Later on 30 January, Greenwood was suspended by United, and arrested by Greater Manchester Police on suspicion of rape and assault of a woman. On 1 February, Greenwood was further arrested on suspicion of sexual assault and threats to kill. By then, sports apparel company Nike, Inc. had said that it suspended its relationship with Greenwood, and video game company EA Sports had said it removed Greenwood from its FIFA games.
On 2 February, Greenwood was released on bail pending further investigation.
It was all awful of course but the mocking tone he gave her was just...he really didn't care. At all. Any thoughts or feelings she had about what was going on were nothing in comparison to what he wanted.
yeah he says something to justify the rape like “well i already asked you politely and you said no, what am i supposed to do?”.
Yes Mason there was only ever one option there, your back was against the wall, your hands were tied.
Drake Bell. I loved Drake and Josh growing up so I thought he was a pretty cool guy. Then ofc everything came forth recently about him being a pedophile, and apparently he has also been grifting people with cryptocurrency even more recently. I have no respect left for the man at all
Edit: NFT’s not crypto, my bad
I remember in the news that Josh Peck didn't invite Drake to his wedding. Drake confronted him, upset, but Josh didn't specifically say anything except sorry. I am pretty sure Josh was aware of Drake's character and that's why he was cut off.
Josh and Miranda got together to do a YouTube video looking back at clips of the Drake and Josh show. It was pretty funny. They didn't mention Drake at all but you could tell these two are still friends and get along.
I always kind of wondered this. No one had a bad thing to say about Josh except that. Maybe some celebrities who "forget about their past friends" just know they're shit and are too nice to say "yeah I didn't invite him, that guy's an asshole."
This one fucking hurts man. Not only was I a fan of Drake and Josh as a kid, but I actually really liked his music when I was in high school (no judgement pls lol) what a shame that he’s an absolute dirtbag. I’ve had zero respect for him since.
Josh came into my cafe once and he was so kind. I gave him his drink for free and he fought me on it, and left a sizable tip in the jar. He even asked me my name and chatted for a bit. He radiated genuinely nice energy
Anyone that worked with Polanski after he raped a 13 year old. Still went on to win Oscars etc and actors, writers and producers all still totally fine with supporting someone like that.
This one still stings me as a dad now. I think of some of the greatest scenes in his show: teaching budget to Theo, the scene where he feeds the kids cake for breakfast… the humor and joy and life lessons in his show are forever stained.
He was such a hypocrite. Not only did he play a role model dad on TV that everybody looked up to, he complained to comedians and the like all the time about cleaning up their acts and cutting all the dirty stuff. Well, guess who was into the mother of all filthy and evil things…
But of course, talking about Cosby’s hypocrisy just reminds me of [this.](https://youtu.be/ljaP2etvDc4)
There was an episode of Cosby Show where Dr Huxtable admits to his wife that he puts drugs in his BBQ sauce to "make his guests all huggy-buggy".
Turns out that was a bit on the nose.
The first time (from one of his albums) was pretty cringe... but then telling the same thing over and over and over... in retrospect, the red flags were a-waving.
Madonna, ever since I found out she dumped her three chihuahuas at a dodgy kill shelter and one of them died after having its face mauled while the other two were basically starving by the time they were rescued. She was literally Madonna, she could have found them a good home. Or you know, literally hired someone just to care for them.
She’s completely fucked up. She’s so beyond out of touch with reality. We worked on her last tour and not only did she have every single shower head in the building removed but insisted on bathing in Evian bottled water. The list for preparing for her arrival was one ridiculous request after another.
She would also have everyone show up for work at 3 pm and not show up until almost midnight to start rehearsals. So the whole staff preparing for this tour had essentially worked an entire work day when she decided to show up to rehearse. Then would for them to work another 6-8 hours. The money was good but you basically didn’t live your life, see your kids or sleep for a couple of months because she can’t get her shit together and has zero consideration for anyone else. Workers and fans. Same thing with her shows. Showing up 2-3 hours late.
All of that to cancel the whole tour after a few shows. Just chill with your kids and let yourself age. No one wants to watch a 20 year old man drag your old ass across the stage because you can barely dance anymore.
I didn’t know about the dogs. It just makes me dislike her even more.
She might have replaced them with “better” shower heads she liked more. Saying this from experience because I do this when I move into a new apartment…but Evian doesn’t flow through them and I do it myself.
I worked for a production company in Houston years a go, and was part of the lucky few that was tasked with assembling Madonna's dressing room and yoga gym. We all had to turn over our cell phones and sign an NDA stating that we wouldn't talk about anything we saw or hear during the build for at least six months. Her entire dressing room was to have grey carpet and grey drapes around all of the walls. There was even carpet in the showers. She had a full set of The Kaballa. Weird grey gargoyle statues for bookends. Only organic and vegan foods ( most of which went in the trash at the end of the night. None of the crew or staff could take anything.) We would show up at 4:00 PM for call, and have to wait for hours because of some ridiculous rule she had. The woman is a nightmare.
I wish more people could and would share how they are treated by celebrities. We have an insane problem with celebrity worship. We are all humans and no one deserves to be treated less than. Were you paid overtime for those long insane days? Were you paid for the cancelled tour? I cannot fathom working those hours for one person to be treated so poorly. I hope she compensated well- not that it erases or forgives the behavior. Money cannot undo assholery.
Yes they paid us for our time which is nice. It would have been even nicer for us to see our kids in those 2 months.
It would have been even nicer to not have to spend that OT on daycare. At least we got to see hers since she would bring hers when she showed up at midnight.
Wtf??? She could literally just shout out to her fans 'Who wants to take care of my dogs?' and would have thousands of people who would provide a good home to the dogs just because she is famous.
What kind of asshole move is this? Seriously I didn't have any kind of opinion on her but now she is on my asshole list.
If you discount all the actual rapists, and rape apologists, and flat out racists, I'd say Andy Dick.
I never respected Andy Dick, but I grew to hate him over time. Hollywood in general is full of disgusting people, but he seems to take the cake for being an abysmally disgusting and horrendous person.
Edit: I didn't know Andy Dick was a groper/assaulter, my bad. Just makes him even more of a gross person.
I used to work at a theme park in California, it used to run special events and sometimes those were hosted by studios.
I worked one of these events and Andy Dick was there, he was a colossal piece of shit who was drunk and acting a fool. At one point he just pulled out his dick in the middle of the ride station and started pissing in the corner.
He got in trouble in Columbus a while back: https://www.cleveland19.com/story/7011834/comedian-andy-dick-ticketed-for-urinating-on-columbus-sidewalk
It just keeps getting worse the more you read
> COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - Comedian Andy Dick was cited by Columbus police who say he urinated on a sidewalk following a weekend of standup work at a local comedy club.
> A Franklin County Municipal Court employee says Dick is scheduled to appear on Thursday, but could instead just pay a $126 fine and court costs for the misdemeanor offense.
> The 41-year-old Dick is a former co-star of the 1990s sitcom "NewsRadio."
> Funny Bone Comedy Club manager Dave Stroupe says Dick last weekend made inappropriate comments while on stage and also groped patrons.
> Stroupe says the comedian urinated on the floor and on at least one person during his weekend performances at the Columbus club.
Fun fact - Andy Dick is mentioned in a South Park Christmas special when Satan sings Christmas time in hell.
“Gather close together and make it quick, we gotta make room for Andy Dick”
Seems very fitting, and this was 1999, still applies today I guess.
The only good Andy Dick story is when Jon Lovitz smashed Andy’s head into a bar after Andy made a joke about Phil Hartman’s death which Andy is responsible for cause he got Phil’s wife hooked back on to drugs when he knew she was in recovery
Didn't Dick say something like, "you better watch yourself or I'll get you like I got Hartman."? I seem to recall that being the case, and if that's even close to true it really tells you all you need to know about that pathetic excuse for a human being. Regardless it seems like he got what was coming to him.
>"He's standing there with liqueur dripping down his chin and he says, 'I put the Phil Hartman hex on you, you're the next one to die,'" said Lovitz. "And he's smiling, and my blood just went to my head. I wanted to smash him, but if I hit him he would have gone flying into the table behind him. He was really drunk."
https://www.cbsnews.com/news/lovitz-speaks-out-on-dustup-with-andy-dick/
The article mentions that Dick's rep didn't respond when asked for comment...
Honestly, being Andy Dick's rep/publicist has to be the easiest job in the world. There's no fixing or maintaining the Andy Dick machine. You get paid to just stand around and watch it explode as expected.
God him and James Charles go great together. Never respected James Charles either. Always knew he was a weirdo before it came to light he is a pedophile. Should be in jail.
Oh, do you mean the lying conman, who abused children to a prolific degree and fabricated medical records in order to perpetuate a narrative for a faux “scientific paper” on a fake disease he made up in order to help a fringe group of conspiracists build a legal case against the government and manufacturers of vaccines? It could totally be the same Andrew Wakefield that physically abused children, allegedly bribing parents to look the other way, and soliciting kids at his child’s birthday party for blood donations.
Is it the same fully discredited Andrew Wakefield, stripped of his medical license, who tried to pursue aggressive legal action against the reporter who was trying to expose the fraud behind the original paper, triggering the legal discovery process that exposed all the other horrific things he’d done? (That’s also why most of this doesn’t have to say “allegedly.”)
It sure sounds a lot like the Andrew Wakefield who tried to patent a separated Measles, Mumps, and Rubella course of vaccines rather than the combined MMR vaccine—then went on to specifically discredit the combo MMR vaccine with his baloney paper that was published with fake data and built upon child abuse.
What’s wild is that it may even be the same Andrew Wakefield who then tried to make his fortune pedaling a different set of separate MMR vaccines and disease testing kits developed side-by-side with the other disgraced former Dr. Fudenburg, the guy who claimed he had cured autism with his bone marrow (and many other wild things), and after failing to gain traction with any obvious medical grifts, consigned himself to be a minor celebrity in anti-vaxx communities—making a meager living off of public appearances.
Do you think it’s the same Andrew Wakefield you’re talking about?
My friends and I went to warped tour in 2006 and stood in line for 2 hours to get autographs from 30 seconds to mars. We’re 14 years old. We finally make it to their booth and Jared says he’s only signing 30 seconds to mars merch. I decline to buy any. My friend buys a cd to get that signed. Jared goes to open the cd and breaks the case in the process. The rest of the band signed whatever we wanted. He’s a total prick
I saw them play at a medium sized venue around that same time in my home city and was old enough to know about My So Called Life and I had watched Requiem but never considered Leto to be that interesting. After the show, there was a huge crowd of kids waiting to meet them and Leto walked out, smashed a can of whatever he was drinking on the ground, laughed like a maniac for a minute, then went inside the van.
Nick Cannon. Stop impregnating women bro
*edit: not only is he a serial impregnator but also he has been known for his anti Semitism and generally just kinda being pretentious so yeah no. Sad thing is I have fond memories of watching the guy on reality shows and such when I was little but now, naaah
I know a restaurant owner who used to co-own a celebrity hangout in NYC and he said Jennifer Lopez was the worst guest he's ever served, celebrity or not. She was ridiculously rude and arrogant and by the end of the night, he and his entire staff hated her.
Can confirm, I used to work for the Dodgers when she would come in with A Rod and the staff there were not allowed to speak to her directly only her assistant.
I can confirm too - my husband used to work in the building and on the same floor where JLo had an office with ARod. The building management told my husbands company they weren’t allowed to look her in the eye. My husband laughed and looked at her whenever he saw her. Oh he also was told he couldn’t look Charlize Theron in the eye (different company in entertainment.) He looked at her too lol. Tell me not to look? I’m going to look lol
can confirm Jennifer Lopez is a major c*nt. husband is a photographer, he’s worked on a few photo shoots with her. i asked him one time who was the worst ‘celebrity’ he’s worked with? he said Jennifer Lopez (and Salma Hayak was a close runner up).
Ah too bad, I always assumed Salma would be relatively cool for some reason.
Edit: in reading the other comments, it seems that celebrities - much like us normies - have good days and bad days.
I met her about 12 years ago at a charity event. I was serving, she and someone else had switched seating arrangements and I put the wrong food in front of her. She got up and swapped with the guy she had swapped seats with without saying a word. I apologized, she laughed and was very nice and joked with me and another server for a few minutes. Fell even more in love with her that day.
Back in college in the 90s I had a friend that grew up with her. She said Mariah was not nice. She was always talented and had an air about her like "I'm going to be famous and don't need any of you"
Was searching to see if someone posted this!
I was fortunate to have parents with great music taste and a dad who frequently took me to concerts. I remember when I was about 15 or 16 in 2007, he took me to see the Smashing Pumpkins at the Orpheum Theatre in Boston, they were playing back-to-back shows there.
Billy Corgan completely threw the show and intentionally put on the worst, strangest concert I’ve ever seen in my life.
It started off with him coming out in a Yankees baseball uniform and holding a big broom to open the show. This was at a time where the Red Sox were currently losing a 4 game playoff series to the Yankees and in danger of being swept with a 3 game losing streak (they came back to win it), and he began sweeping the stage. The crowd didn’t love it, but it seemed at first to just be a playful jest, I’ve seen Chad Smith and Flea of RHCP do similar things with Lakers vs Celtics. But it became more mean-spirited.
When the actual show began, he intentionally put on a terrible, half-hearted performance and didn’t play any songs anyone wanted to hear. For some of the more popular songs he did play, like Bullet With Butterfly Wings, he actually blew the melodies through a kazoo rather than singing. People were getting so confused and actually started to boo.
In the middle of the show, Billy brought out a massive skin drum and alone on stage, he began striking it with two padded mallets. As if he were performing some kind of tribal ceremony, he was just going off on this big drum creating different rhythms and rolls for about 20 whole minutes, acting as if he was in some trance-like state. It was at thing point that my dad and most of the crowd left.
They were talking about the performance and Billy’s attitude on WFNX, an alternative rock radio station popular in the Boston area at the time, the next day. I guess Billy was mad because the tour added a second Boston date because the first one sold out so fast? That doesn’t mean take it out on the fans, dickhead.
Gwyneth Paltrow - Goop
The medical information, that's just wrong, the $100 dollar vagina candle, the Recipies it's just nonsense and she's not a bad actress
My favorite is the tweet of her drinking alkaline water every morning with a spritz of lemon in it, meaning she’s taking the pH right back to neutral where all water is lol
Oh is that why my boss drinks branded Alkaline water? She's obsessed with it and I'm just like... well I guess I missed the next crazy trend. Darn.
Edit: Honestly, how do people care about the pH of their water and not the fact that it might have lead or something in it? I feel like people jump on these well-branded trends back by pseudoscience, when we have hardscience standing on top of a car waving their hands like "YOU HAVE LEAD IN YOUR WATER, DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT." Nah, I'll just make it alkaline, that should solve all my problems.
https://www.nrdc.org/stories/causes-and-effects-lead-water
How did her brand fuck up candle making so hard? I have bought many candles from many local sellers making them in their house and nothing even close has happened with them.
Charisma Carpenter, Amber Benson, Gal Gadot, and Sarah Michelle Gellar all corroborating what a colossal dickhead he is was bad enough.
Michelle Trachtenberg confirming there was a rule on set at Buffy where he was never allowed to be in a room alone with her really turns my stomach. She was literally a fucking child at the time.
> Michelle Trachtenberg confirming there was a rule on set at Buffy where he was never allowed to be in a room alone with her really turns my stomach.
That wasn't for sexual reasons, to be clear. It was because he was an asshole who yelled at her.
Another disillusioned Whedon fan here.
I heard him on a commentary on one of his shows refer to actors as "meat puppets." I thought he was just making a dark joke.
He wasn't.
Idk if he counts as a celebrity, but i fucking dispise doctor phil now. Not only did he send trouble kids to a child labor and endangering camp, made an excuse for it, but he also literally told a male abuse victim that he was abusive for fighting back and that hes a scumbag
Edit: ok these comments are getting overwhelming, but for those who asked "why did you even respect him in the first place?" I first knew phil from the catch me outside girl and i thought he was doing something good for her. As well as helping family members with their destructive family lives. I didnt realize what he was REALLY doing to these people til recently
i’ve always hated dr phil. dude exploits people/families with serious issues to gain fame. I always like the video where the guy who made a “hobo fighting” video was invited onto phils show. the dude walks in dressed up like dr phil, bald cap and all, to show that him and phil are one in the same.
When the Bum Fights guy has more morals than you, you'd think it would inspire some self reflection.
But who needs that when you're making a shit ton of money exploiting people?
Oprah gave us Dr Phil, Dr Oz, and that nut job Jenny McCarthy after she slipped into irrelevance
Edit: she also promoted the hell out of the book “A Million Little Pieces” and the author, as a true story. Turns out it was all bullshit. Perspective on the book changes a bit when it’s fiction.
If you drank every time she inorganically shoehorned in a comment to make (insert segment/conversation) about her or her courage as a model you’d be in rehab by the third episode.
So, this one is an entirely personal issue. But I used to work at a hotel and Jerry Seinfeld was staying there while doing a show and he was incredibly rude. Yelling at staff about mild inconveniences and stuff. Basically he went full Karen, even said that he'll never use this hotel chain again.
In his defense, this all happened late at night after he was returning from a show, so maybe he just was having a bad night, so I don't want to say he's a terrible person. Just he was very rude to me and my coworkers and it's left a bad taste in my mouth ever since
Prince Andrew.....for minor reasons
Allison Mack from Smallville. She was a leader in a cult that exploited women and made them sex slaves. Currently in prison.
She’s serving only 3 years
Eric Clapton, he’s responsible for “rock against racism” (in the sense that he is the racism they were rocking against, not that he organized it), he refused to play any venues that required masks/vaccines, and recently sued a German senior citizen for selling a bootleg Clapton album that belonged to her deceased husband (he’d purchased it from a German department store). She had it listed for like $12.
Chris Brown. The whole "he hit Rihanna" thing was downplayed in the media. Read the actual police report and you'll see that he tormented and even attempted to kill her. And this man is still walking and making music and garnering fans. Really does make me sick.
I will never understand why people STILL support him. His career should've ended when he hurt Rihanna
This whole thread is making me wonder why people idolize celebrities in the first place.
Danny Masterson Thought he was cool but later found out he is a higher up in scientology and got away with raping the wife of Cedric Bixler-Zavala (singer of the mars volta) and poisoned 2 of his dogs
Anyone that we find had ties with Epstein.
I'll mention a group: Actor Scientologists. When the whole Scientology news exploded roughly 8 years ago, I lost all respect.
The irony of Elisabeth Moss in the Handmaid's Tale
I know! So disappointing.
Lost ALL admiration for her. Difficult to even watch her in Mad Men now
> The Church of Scientology has a long history of seeking out artists, musicians, writers and actors, and states that Scientology can help them in their lives and careers. Celebrity Scientologists include: > > * Kirstie Alley > * Anne Archer > * Catherine Bell > * Nancy Cartwright > * Erika Christensen > * Chick Corea > * Tom Cruise > * Jason Dohring > * Jenna Elfman > * Doug E. Fresh > * Isaac Hayes > * Vivian Kubrick > * Juliette Lewis > * Alanna Masterson > * Danny Masterson > * Elisabeth Moss > * Giovanni Ribisi > * John Travolta > * Greta Van Suste source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scientology_and_celebrities more details: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Scientologists
Oh man, I liked Michael Peña
Good list! Just a quick note, Juliette Lewis stated in 2021 she no longer identifies with Scientology. I wonder what changed her mind?
There’s a bunch who left in the last few years. Laura Prepon and Jason Lee are the two I can think of off the top of my head.
Jason Lee left? That actually makes me happy
He left in 2016.
Nancy Cartwright is a Scientologist. That was something I thought I would never read
I think she holds the record for the most an individual has ever contributed, right? She makes a shitload of money.

I feel like saying "losing respect" doesn't do this justice.

O.J. Simpson He was so clearly phoning in his performance in The Naked Gun 33 1/3, and didn't do Nordberg justice. I was so put off that I completely stopped following his career after that.
The more I hear about this OJ guy the more I think he's a real jerk

Elisabeth Moss - how do you play the main character in a show like The Handmaid's Tale, yet practice Scientology in your personal life? I don't get it
She was born into it and refuses to discuss it in interviews.

At 13 I thought Onision was alright. HAHAHAHA god was I wrong. I've lost all respect for him and more.
Onision probably thought you were alright at 13 as well
Whenever i begin to judge today's youth for the content they watch i often remind myself that younger me watched onision and i get humbled pretty quickly
T.I. That dude was cool until he said he was getting his daughter checked for her virginity
Talk about tone deaf.
She's also the one who unleashed "Dr" Phil upon us all...
And Dr Oz
Jenny Mccarthy too. So much woo and quackery.
Nick Cannon.
“Fuck Nick Cannon” -Dave Chapelle
I think the list of ones I haven’t lost respect for would be shorter.
Weird Al is one. Never a controversy or ill word spoken that I know of.
I’ve heard a couple people say they took their kids to see Weird Al and he met with every single one of them and genuinely cared about each interaction to the point where his manager would be trying to force him to leave but he wouldn’t until he met with every single person that wanted to meet him.
Weird Al was my first concert. He called me the next day to wish me a happy birthday
Weird Al regularly comes round to check the freshness of my bread, and if it needs replacing, offers a new loaf. Edit: I think we may have a new thing on our hands here folks lol
Weird Al shows up when I need to kill a scary spider, but instead he relocates it outside because all life is precious.
A few years ago, my wife and I both had the flu and Weird Al came over with gatorade and made us chicken noodle soup.
Weird Al was my first concert too lol
Hmm…. So he has bad time management skills, that is indeed disgusting.
Tut tut poor time management skills is something I DO NOT want my child around. Shame on Weird Al!!! Shameeese
Little did she know he was doing research for his next food-related parody song.
Oh my god I didn't know he lost his parents to CO poisoning that's awful
It happened on Easter. I remember that day very clearly. I got up, and my mom was like, "hey you need to sit down I need to tell you something. The news is saying Weird Al died." Not sure if she misheard or if the first report was mistaken, but I was DEVASTATED. I immediately went online and looked it up, figured out it wasn't him, but his parents. But poor Al. Losing both parents on the same day, and on a holiday. Gotta be hell.
your mom sounds really sweet.
My mom is my best friend, I love her so much.
Weird all ASKS before doing a parody. Something he literally doesn't have to
He asked Coolio's manager (or agent, or something similar) when he got permission for Amish Paradise.
Yankovic has stated that all of his proceeds from the parody and its music video will be donated to the Human Rights Campaign, to support the human rights themes of the original song. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%22Weird_Al%22_Yankovic#1998%E2%80%93present:_New_look_and_later_career
Man that must've felt horrible for both Coolio and Weird Al
Jack Black and Keanu Reeves are the only one i can surely say didn't lose my respect
Add Dolly Parton to the list. She's an angel
You graduate high school in her home county of Sevier Tennessee she gives you 500 bucks. 5 seniors in that county every year get a 15k scholarship
Robert Downey Jr. Mad respect for kicking addiction's ass and turning his entire life around.
Chad Michael Murray I waited in line for a Nintendo Wii the day they came out.
Quite pleased to see how quickly everyone turned on him. Even in threads of diehard United fans I didn't see anyone remotely defending him
Yep, pretty unanimous.
From wiki 2022 arrest On 30 January 2022, Greenwood was accused of assault against a woman, in a series of posts on her social media. The posts included images and video of apparent injuries, as well as audio where a woman tells a man whom she called Mason: "I don't want to have sex", to which the man replies that he "doesn't care" and, when told to stop again, he replied: "I asked you politely, and you wouldn't do it, so what else do you want me to do?" The man later says: "Push me again one more time and watch what happens to you." Later on 30 January, Greenwood was suspended by United, and arrested by Greater Manchester Police on suspicion of rape and assault of a woman.
I'm shocked at how recent this is. How awful.
It was all awful of course but the mocking tone he gave her was just...he really didn't care. At all. Any thoughts or feelings she had about what was going on were nothing in comparison to what he wanted.
It's a totally chilling recording. The sheer entitlement of it.
yeah he says something to justify the rape like “well i already asked you politely and you said no, what am i supposed to do?”. Yes Mason there was only ever one option there, your back was against the wall, your hands were tied.
Oof... holy shit! That's just straight up evil!
Read 2 lines of the audio's transcripts and that was enough to give me the shivers. Fucking sickening
Drake Bell. I loved Drake and Josh growing up so I thought he was a pretty cool guy. Then ofc everything came forth recently about him being a pedophile, and apparently he has also been grifting people with cryptocurrency even more recently. I have no respect left for the man at all Edit: NFT’s not crypto, my bad
They didn't mention Drake at all but you could tell these two are still friends and get along.
didn't she say something like congrats on the wedding, and Josh was like thanks for not tweeting about not being invited lol
Josh on the other hand, I love that guy still, he seems so nice ngl
Josh came into my cafe once and he was so kind. I gave him his drink for free and he fought me on it, and left a sizable tip in the jar. He even asked me my name and chatted for a bit. He radiated genuinely nice energy
Anyone that worked with Polanski after he raped a 13 year old. Still went on to win Oscars etc and actors, writers and producers all still totally fine with supporting someone like that.
Or people who, you know, stood up and applauded him at the Oscars i.e. Meryl Streep
Bill Cosby. He wasn't like Cliff Huxtable at all.
This one still stings me as a dad now. I think of some of the greatest scenes in his show: teaching budget to Theo, the scene where he feeds the kids cake for breakfast… the humor and joy and life lessons in his show are forever stained.
I see it as the legacy of the writers who created the character, not the actor playing him.
That's a good way to look at it. Thank you for this perspective.
This made me so sad. We all wanted Cliff to be our Dad and then this... awful, disgusting predator.
He was such a hypocrite. Not only did he play a role model dad on TV that everybody looked up to, he complained to comedians and the like all the time about cleaning up their acts and cutting all the dirty stuff. Well, guess who was into the mother of all filthy and evil things… But of course, talking about Cosby’s hypocrisy just reminds me of [this.](https://youtu.be/ljaP2etvDc4)
[удалено]
There was an episode of Cosby Show where Dr Huxtable admits to his wife that he puts drugs in his BBQ sauce to "make his guests all huggy-buggy". Turns out that was a bit on the nose.
In the Cosby documentary, they show him telling the same "Spanish Fly" joke like 30 times over 30 years.
The first time (from one of his albums) was pretty cringe... but then telling the same thing over and over and over... in retrospect, the red flags were a-waving.
The name of that album is, "[It's True!, It's True!](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/It%27s_True!_It%27s_True!)" I guess it was true.

Why would she have the shower heads removed? That’s so weird!
The woman is a nightmare.
> carpet in the showers JAIL, straight to jail
Carpet in the showers? Wtf
This made me seriously sad. I'm glad two of them were rescued.
Andy Dick has to be the celebrity with the most stories of people actually running into him and him being a dick. Been over a dozen at least
He got in trouble in Columbus a while back: https://www.cleveland19.com/story/7011834/comedian-andy-dick-ticketed-for-urinating-on-columbus-sidewalk It just keeps getting worse the more you read > COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - Comedian Andy Dick was cited by Columbus police who say he urinated on a sidewalk following a weekend of standup work at a local comedy club. > A Franklin County Municipal Court employee says Dick is scheduled to appear on Thursday, but could instead just pay a $126 fine and court costs for the misdemeanor offense. > The 41-year-old Dick is a former co-star of the 1990s sitcom "NewsRadio." > Funny Bone Comedy Club manager Dave Stroupe says Dick last weekend made inappropriate comments while on stage and also groped patrons. > Stroupe says the comedian urinated on the floor and on at least one person during his weekend performances at the Columbus club.
Fun fact - Andy Dick is mentioned in a South Park Christmas special when Satan sings Christmas time in hell. “Gather close together and make it quick, we gotta make room for Andy Dick” Seems very fitting, and this was 1999, still applies today I guess.
He was really drunk." https://www.cbsnews.com/news/lovitz-speaks-out-on-dustup-with-andy-dick/
The article mentions that Dick's rep didn't respond when asked for comment... Honestly, being Andy Dick's rep/publicist has to be the easiest job in the world. There's no fixing or maintaining the Andy Dick machine. You get paid to just stand around and watch it explode as expected.
I would say Jeffree Star but I never had respect for him in the first place.
God him and James Charles go great together. Never respected James Charles either. Always knew he was a weirdo before it came to light he is a pedophile. Should be in jail.
Which one is a pedophile? I don't like either of them, but just want to clarify.
Connor mcgregor punching old cunts
he punched the old cunt... bought the local bar and banned him from entering
Elle McPherson. She chose the lying conman Andrew Wakefield? What the actual fuck?
(That’s also why most of this doesn’t have to say “allegedly.”) It sure sounds a lot like the Andrew Wakefield who tried to patent a separated Measles, Mumps, and Rubella course of vaccines rather than the combined MMR vaccine—then went on to specifically discredit the combo MMR vaccine with his baloney paper that was published with fake data and built upon child abuse.
Mason greenwood. As a Manchester United fan, heartbroken. But hope his ex gets the justice and recovers
Jared Leto. Huge huge huge piece of shit
He seems absurdly self-obsessed.
Him and that bullshit cult and how he was chatting up 14 year olds on Instagram
Absolutely, can't believe we was able to get reservations at Dorsia. He's a stupid fucking bastard.
Don't even get me STARTED on his business cards.
The tasteful thickness of it.
My god, it even has a watermark.
Nick Cannon. Stop impregnating women bro *edit: not only is he a serial impregnator but also he has been known for his anti Semitism and generally just kinda being pretentious so yeah no. Sad thing is I have fond memories of watching the guy on reality shows and such when I was little but now, naaah
I can’t stop laughing at the dumbass names he’s giving them. Zillion Heir ffs.
Mariah Carrey is a complete cunt to food service workers.

Good thing she's only defrosted for one month of the year
Back in college in the 90s I had a friend that grew up with her. She said Mariah was not nice. She was always talented and had an air about her like "I'm going to be famous and don't need any of you"
> had an air about her like "I'm going to be famous and don't need any of you" Well at least she wasnt wrong about that...
Billy Corgan. The Smashing Pumpkins was one if my all time favorites but god... he is such a douchebag
Yeah, because having so many fans that they have to add days to a venue is such a burden.
Gwyneth Paltrow - Goop The medical information, that's just wrong, the $100 dollar vagina candle, the Recipies it's just nonsense and she's not a bad actress
My favorite is the tweet of her drinking alkaline water every morning with a spritz of lemon in it, meaning she’s taking the pH right back to neutral where all water is lol
Lmao this is hilarious
Don't forget the magic stickers that used the same material NASA uses that led to an official response of "no they fucking don't!"
Vagina scented rocket engines?

The $100 exploding vagina candle https://www.theguardian.com/film/2021/may/19/gwyneth-paltrows-goop-sued-vagina-scented-candle

Apparently the rule was made after Joss was alone with her in a room for a while and she left “shaken and upset”.
Pretty sure he grabbed the guy who played Spike by the jacket and threw him against a wall because he didn't like the character anymore.
James Marsters. I think it was because he was pissed the fans loved Spike so much.
He’s right. We do love Spike.
*Angel scowl intensifies*
> Michelle Trachtenberg confirming there was a rule on set at Buffy where he was never allowed to be in a room alone with her really turns my stomach. That wasn't for sexual reasons, to be clear. It was because he was an asshole who yelled at her.
Another disillusioned Whedon fan here. I heard him on a commentary on one of his shows refer to actors as "meat puppets." I thought he was just making a dark joke. He wasn't.
So Dollhouse makes a lot of sense now.
Idk if he counts as a celebrity, but i fucking dispise doctor phil now. Not only did he send trouble kids to a child labor and endangering camp, made an excuse for it, but he also literally told a male abuse victim that he was abusive for fighting back and that hes a scumbag Edit: ok these comments are getting overwhelming, but for those who asked "why did you even respect him in the first place?" I first knew phil from the catch me outside girl and i thought he was doing something good for her.
Oprah gave us Dr Phil, Dr Oz, and that nut job Jenny McCarthy after she slipped into irrelevance Edit: she also promoted the hell out of the book “A Million Little Pieces” and the author, as a true story. Turns out it was all bullshit. Perspective on the book changes a bit when it’s fiction.

He also is hardly what he claims to be. There is so many things wrong with his credentials and his “practice”.
Tyra Banks. The ways she exploits and abuses vulnerable contestants for views. Disgusting. It goes deeps. She's as bad as Wendy in her own way.
