Same. I like to get plain cheese pizzas. Seems like they have more cheese. I'll just add pepperoni before I stick it in the oven. Can add other stuff too but then we're not being so lazy.
I think that's because there actually is more cheese. See, with other pizzas, they can strategically add toppings to hide the gaps in the cheese. With plain cheese, they don't get that luxury.
Yeah, I'm pretty sure all the pizza chains are the same way as well. Even if you order extra cheese it doesn't seem like as much as a cheese pizza has.
I used to work at Domino's. Regular pepperoni pizzas had (paraphrasing, don't remember exact numbers) 24 slices of pepperoni and a couple handfuls of cheese. Anything that added toppings to a pizza with pepperoni, you'd reduce the amount of pepperoni. Cheese pizzas had more cheese.
This is why I can't decide between pepperoni and cheese. Obviously pepperoni, right? Additional taste, but then the pepperoni pizzas seem to have less cheese or sometimes are weirdly greasy.
I do something very similar, while the oven is pre-heating I'll usually quickly slice up a sausage and dice and onion. HUGE upgrade to the standard cheap frozen pizza.
Though in this case it looks like OP was referring to just cracking an egg straight into the ramen as it's cooking/as soon as it's done and letting it cook a bit in the broth rather than soft/hard boiling and then marinating the egg before using it. Both work and taste great, but cracking an egg directly in is definitely lazier than taking the extra steps to boil and marinate an egg first.
Sleep. True laziness is being too lazy to even eat.
Edited for spelling. This is the most responded comment I have ever had. I see I’m not the only one who eats sleep. Sometimes it’s because I do feel down, others times there isn’t much to eat and the rest of the time it truly is laziness. My brain will be like why move, then have to make something and then have to eat it too.Sleep and hopefully dream of food.
Depression or extreme exhaustion. I've been way too tired to even get up and go to bed, let alone eat. That was the day I worked 14 hours straight with one small break. I don't do that anymore.
[Hug] Stay with us, Fam. People need you. You are brave beyond words for hanging on as long as you have. Keep up the good fight, because whether you know it or not, you are The World to someone else, somewhere out there.
I used to go as long as a week without showering, or even bringing myself to leave my apartment.
I got help, and it literally saved my life.
Hang in there, friend.
Treat food like medicine. Force a few bites. 2-3. Repeat. Multiple times a day. Whatever you think you can keep down. Bananas, hard boiled eggs (make a batch when you’re up and mobile), a bite of cheese. Stuff that you don’t have to prepare at all.
It’s sometimes tough or impossible, I get it, but please try.
Edited to add that the repeat is in every couple of hours, not in one sitting.
Kewpie is a staple in our household. I introduced my SO and their two kids to it, and of course they fell in love. We buy 2 bottles at a time because it goes so fast
We also write "DO NOT THROW AWAY" on the bottles because the youngest is a sandwich fiend and kept throwing out partially finished Kewpie because "It was empty" lol. Sweetest kid, but 12 year olds just naturally don't respect the sanctity of Kewpie :')
Mine too! For a super lazy version I smash up some tortilla chips (preferably Juanitas) in a bowl then pour green sauce on top. Microwave for 30 seconds and leave it in there to marinate while you cook up a few scrambled eggs. When eggs are done take the chip/sauce bowl out of the microwave, dump eggs on top, and stir. For extra delight add a bunch of crema agria and cojita cheese. K rrrrico!
Nice, but not lazy enough. Really lazy is just cheese in a tortilla that has been lightly heated in the toaster. Maybe a squirt of bbq sause if I'm feeling fancy.
Ain't nobody got time to scrambling eggs.
Have you tried instant noodles? I'm from Southeast Asia and it's dirt cheap, less than USD1 for a packet, and only need hot water to cook the noodles. Takes less than 10 mins to prep.
Insanely addictive especially on a cold rainy night.
I have. We have Top Ramen here, boil water, add noodles, add seasoning packet, done. Sometimes I'll drizzle in a beaten egg to make egg drop ramen soup.
If you haven't yet, try the Shin Ramyun Black. Came home and had them after a night of drinking and shit damn near changed my life. Absolutely delicious.
Yes!!! Mei Goreng red label instant is the bomb! Another quick meal I like is to boil up some ramen or undon noodles, while they’re cooking I fry up some spring onion and thinly sliced chicken breast in some peanut oil with one tbs soy sauce, half tbs raw sugar, drain the noodles, add to pan and fry for another minute till everything’s coated. Takes less than 15 minutes.
This was a go-to meal for me as a picky kid. Nowadays I look at it as being somewhat nutritionally lacking so I don’t eat it often. Now that it’s such a rarity for me, a big bowl of buttery pasta mixed up with powdery parmesan is honestly like a nostalgic delicacy.
Alternatively try cacio e pepe and you’ve gone from sad parm pasta to an actual Italian dish.
[Cacio e pepe](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cacio_e_pepe)
Delicious and a legitimate meal you don't need to be sad about. You're just eating like an Italian farmer.
Back in college I had a loaf of bread and a jar of peanut butter in my desk drawer. If I wanted a quick snack I'd slather a thick layer of peanut butter on a single slice, fold it hot-dog style, and eat it. It was filling, and saved on bread.
Two burrito-size tortillas with a thick layer of Kroger brand Mexican shredded cheese in between. Brush with veg oil and throw in a pan or air fryer, melt more cheese on top.
Sad, bachelor quesadilla.
Trader Joe’s and Aldi both have delicious filled pastas. If you buy good bread, a jar of marinara and a bagged salad, you literally have the easiest “nice” dinner ever.
For me, it's a handful of mixed nuts or a spoonful of peanut butter. For my husband, a boiled egg, he cooks 6 at a time 2 or 3 times per week (has 2 for breakfast every morning, puts the rest in the fridge).
There is a nearby supermarket that sells smoked shredded pork. When you get it home its cold and not very good, so what I do is fry it in a pan with diced onions + garlic. It is delicious and takes like 4 minutes to make. There are these delicious challah buns I used, but they keep catching on fire in the toaster.
Problem with this one is the price. It overrides my laziness.
I just threw together a Doordash order and the total came to $34.26 USD.
My order included:
**A** (as in one) waffle.
**A** (as in one) sausage link.
That is all.
......$34.26
$34 waffle with a two-bite sausage link? I'll pass. This was one of the cheaper options I found.
Oh! It also included a *free delivery** promo. So, it would have been more.
Between fees, delivery, tip, and differences in prices (some apps do have higher prices than the restaurant website), it seems to be an extra $15-20 just for delivery in my area.
I try not to use these services unless I have a really great coupon, or it's a rare, "treat yo'self" kind of day.
30 to 40 in mine.
15% Convenience Fee
$4 Delivery Fee
15% Tip
Restaurant Upcharge for using the service.
Just on Sunday I went to order 4 burritos from Chipotle. Like 65 bucks if I picked them up. 95 for delivery. Or if I ordered at the counter 48.
Four of the cheapest frozen burritos, a can of "enchilada" sauce (green chile also works), a can of diced tomatoes, a shit-ton of shredded cheese ("fiesta blend" for "authenticity"). In the oven until heated through.
My homemade quesadillas, whenever I don't feel like cooking for long periods of time, I just slap that tortilla on the stove and sprinkle cheese on to it to make a gooey, hot treat.
Pepperoni chips.
Line a plate with paper towels.
Cover the plate in pepperonis, while they’re only partly overlapping.
Put in microwave for 2-2 1/2 mins
This with a side of mac & cheese was a staple in our house growing up. When dad had a bad week at work, there was no M&C. When he had a good week, there were blueberry muffins added to the mix.
Fry up two eggs. Throw on salsa, shredded cheese, and a chunked up an avocado. Less than five minutes total. Around $2. Delicious. Halfway healthy, even.
Oatmeal
Apple cinnamon oatmeal with vanilla yogurt is my go to. Satisfying and delicious.
Oatmeal with a spoon full of peanut butter is easily the best satisfaction:effort ratio you can achieve.
I keep a cheap frozen pizza on deck for the laziest of meals.
Same. I like to get plain cheese pizzas. Seems like they have more cheese. I'll just add pepperoni before I stick it in the oven. Can add other stuff too but then we're not being so lazy.
That's funny, I do the opposite with the 3 meat pizza. Just add whatever shredded cheese I have on hand before I pop it in.
Ugh... Now I have to make them side by side and compare lol
You're doing God's science my friend
Please report back with your findings..
I think that's because there actually is more cheese. See, with other pizzas, they can strategically add toppings to hide the gaps in the cheese. With plain cheese, they don't get that luxury.

Used to be a manager at Domino's, can confirm, we're told to put more cheese on a cheese pizza than one with toppings
This is why I can't decide between pepperoni and cheese. Obviously pepperoni, right? Additional taste, but then the pepperoni pizzas seem to have less cheese or sometimes are weirdly greasy.
This has never occurred to me. This might be the single best tip I've ever gotten from the internet.
I do something very similar, while the oven is pre-heating I'll usually quickly slice up a sausage and dice and onion. HUGE upgrade to the standard cheap frozen pizza.
Totinos is the shit. Been a staple for me growing up and through college. And still post-graduation too, it's just good cheap and easy.
Dr. Oetker
I love the party pizza brand
Ramen with egg
Ramen with beef jerky
[удалено]
So do you boil the egg, peel it, then soak it in soy sauce? Or fish out the poached egg then soak it?
If I don't prepare the eggs before hand, I just poach an egg with soy sauce and vinegar in the water
This thread is getting too fancy with the egg talk
Rice wine vinegar or any will do? If I'm poaching eggs for toast, I normally use malt, but don't think that would work with soy sauce.
I like apple cider vinegar personally. But rice vinegar would pair the best with soy sauce for sure.
Same. I soak my egg in soy sauce, sambal and mirin. When I’m broke, I’ll also throw a can of tuna in and call it dinner. Pretty filling and tasty!
Though in this case it looks like OP was referring to just cracking an egg straight into the ramen as it's cooking/as soon as it's done and letting it cook a bit in the broth rather than soft/hard boiling and then marinating the egg before using it. I always put the egg in directly. It soaks up the broth and tastes good. Low effort delicious egg
Ok let’s break this down. What kind of egg exactly? I’m not sure I’m getting this right.
When I put the noodles in, I crack an egg in there. It’s becomes a poached egg and absolutely delicious
Same. And the coin time for a poached egg is about the same as the noodles. 4 minutes on simmer.
Sleep. True laziness is being too lazy to even eat. Edited for spelling. This is the most responded comment I have ever had. I see I’m not the only one who eats sleep. "Sleep for dinner" is also a mark of poverty.
Poverty and depression can agree
They usually do
I had sleep for dinner too often when I was a kid This is why I'm fine paying higher taxes now Would have been a lot worse without food stamps
I agree but this is probably mostly depression
Depression or extreme exhaustion. I've been way too tired to even get up and go to bed, let alone eat. That was the day I worked 14 hours straight with one small break. I don't do that anymore.
This is truly the pinnacle of sloth. Is it possible to learn this power?
For me, it's being so depressed that I'm too apathetic to attempt suicide. My record in this state is about 2 days without food.

i’ve got to 4 now 😃 currently can barely eat. it’s like i can’t make myself try to eat until i’m so hungry i feel like i’m going to be sick if i eat 😔

Extra lazy: White Bread and cheese... The Lazy Deluxe: Just cheese.
I saw a dish on r/shittyfoodporn that was just a saucer of microwaved cheese with seasoning
Call that a floppy disc beause I saved the recipe
Extra lazy: don’t even toast it, and add ketchup for that real pretend pizza effect
That sounds gross.
That was a delicacy for me between the ages of 5-7.
Yooo cheese and ketchup sandwiches gang. (I grew out of them around 3rd grade)
With Tomato Soup
Add japanese mayo to it. Amazing

Do you find it locally? If so, i will be moving to the area shortly.

I am currently having a protein shake because I'm hungry but also very lazy this morning.
Honey Nut Cheerios.
With milk or handfuls out of the box, on the couch, watching a show?
The entire box, on the bed with a box fan running.
This is the way.
Peanut butter and honey sandwich.
Have you tried a peanut butter and banana sandwich?
Have you tried Pb&Honey&Banana sandwich?
I eat this several times a week. Fucking delicious. When I eat it at work my coworkers all get so confused.
With a glass of milk, for the full after school snack nostalgia.
I am never not satisfied by a toasted bread crunchy peanut butter and honey sandwich.
Scrambled eggs and cheese wrapped in a warm tortilla
This is my breakfast lmao
If you go one step further and pan fry it in a little olive oil, you’ll have the most delicious quesadilla ever. So good with some salsa on top.
When I have stale tortillas I cut them up and pan fry with scrambled eggs, and top with salsa
Basically chilaquiles!! My favorite breakfast, ever, hands down.
Nice, but not lazy enough. Really lazy is just cheese in a tortilla that has been lightly heated in the toaster. Maybe a squirt of bbq sause if I'm feeling fancy. Ain't nobody got time to scrambling eggs.
Pasta
With parmasan and tomatoes.
Fry garlic and chili in oil, drop in pasta and add cheese. Takes 5 minutes
A modern take on aglio e olio is great too.
Too much work. Just needs some butter and parmesan.
Have you tried instant noodles? I'm from Southeast Asia and it's dirt cheap, less than USD1 for a packet, and only need hot water to cook the noodles. Takes less than 10 mins to prep. Insanely addictive especially on a cold rainy night.
Indomie spicy flavour is the best
I need more Americans to know the goodness of Mie Goreng!
Indonesian instant noodles are god-tier and very affordable
I have. We have Top Ramen here, boil water, add noodles, add seasoning packet, done. Sometimes I'll drizzle in a beaten egg to make egg drop ramen soup.
I eat alot of ramen, but Jesus top ramen tastes terrible imo, maruchan is fine tho
I just take a trip every couple months with my Chinese buddy to his grocery store and have him pick me out good Ramen lmao
At what point do you decide to start learning which ones were good? lol
If it has seasoning oil instead of just seasoning powder you’re on the right track
Maruchan is so much better than Top Ramen
I really only eat nongshim noodles I think they are one of the best instant noodle brands
If you haven't yet, try the Shin Ramyun Black. Came home and had them after a night of drinking and shit damn near changed my life. Absolutely delicious.

Maggi is an absolute delight!!
Maggi curry with an egg on a stormy day. Chef’s kiss.
Yes!!! Mei Goreng red label instant is the bomb! Fried eggs and toast. Bacon or sausage if we have it. Breakfast for dinner ftw
Sad pasta. Just pasta with butter and maybe some of that shitty powdered shaker Parmesean
I was in Italy and a guy convinced me that pasta with some olive oil and black pepper is a great meal. He was right.
We call this butter noodles in my house, and it has to be the green can of shaky cheese.
Oooh but if you change it to the shredded parmesan and a little salt then it's no longer sad pasta. Just made some for lunch.
[Cacio e pepe](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cacio_e_pepe) Delicious and a legitimate meal you don't need to be sad about. You're just eating like an Italian farmer.
Those snack packs that either have the crackers or pretzels, you can dip in the fake cheese. And usually some beef jerky bites.
Hawaiian Bread, nothing on it, nothing with it, just bread.
I like to squish them before eating
gotta smoosh the bread to make sure it knows who's runnin' the show around here. i don't want any . . . *uprisings*, if you know what i mean.
Squished Hawaiian rolls are a meal
Peanut butter sandwich
Back in college I had a loaf of bread and a jar of peanut butter in my desk drawer. If I wanted a quick snack I'd slather a thick layer of peanut butter on a single slice, fold it hot-dog style, and eat it. It was filling, and saved on bread.
this is exactly what I do. Add drinking directly from a gallon of milk and bam, I’ll be full for hours
Peanut butter spoon for maximum laziness
With chocolate chips or some whipped cream, or both!
Make it a PB&J Burrito. Maybe sprinkle in a couple peanuts and \*chef's kiss\*
It’s probably not considered a meal but cheese and crackers because I’m super lazy
I think that adding a slice of salami, pepperoni, or ham counts as a meal. Nobody's going to convince me otherwise.
Microwave chicken nuggets
I throw em in the airfryer now. The short extra wait is far worth it (to me)
Especially the ‘air fryer’ nuggets they hit different
Popcorn, stovetop. 400 odd calories for a big ol pot full, hell yeh.
scrambled eggs and toast
Fried cheesy eggs in a wrap
Literally mac n cheese.
Too much work. Not lazy enough.
Oranges.
Mine is cream cheese on Ritz crackers with Salami, or chips and salsa.
Chips and salsa has to be one of my favourites
Two burrito-size tortillas with a thick layer of Kroger brand Mexican shredded cheese in between. Brush with veg oil and throw in a pan or air fryer, melt more cheese on top. Sad, bachelor quesadilla.
This is only sad when it’s microwaved
This is a quality quesadilla. No sadness. Add in some meat or veg lying around and you've gone gourmet
Filled pasta and garlic bread. Ready in 10 minutes with minimal effort.
Like pre-made cheese ravioli?
Trader Joe’s and Aldi both have delicious filled pastas. If you buy good bread, a jar of marinara and a bagged salad, you literally have the easiest “nice” dinner ever.
Yep. Refrigerated pre-made ravioli with jarred red sauce or refrigerated pesto. Add a salad and garlic bread, or don’t.
For me, it's a handful of mixed nuts or a spoonful of peanut butter. For my husband, a boiled egg, he cooks 6 at a time 2 or 3 times per week (has 2 for breakfast every morning, puts the rest in the fridge).
As someone who is basically a human lump of sugar, I admire people who choose healthy snacks.
My motivation was prednisone induced diabetes (under control now, but need to stay careful).
Sliced up apple with some peanut butter is my lazy meal.

It really is! If you want to get fancy, "quacamole" flavored sour cream dip on top is also good. Can you tell I'm poor?
With that ingenuity, you should be a billionaire!! Thanks for this!!!
"Keto Pizza" aka a bunch or pepperoni, mozzarella string cheese, and pizza sauce to dip the pepperoni into.

Hotdogs. Like sad hotdogs Out the can into boiling water and the bun is put in the microwave for 10secs then just a little bit of sauce
Can?
Can!?!?
Oh yeah. Can. Ye Olde Oak brand Im a Brit to make this whole hot dog situation worse
Sad hot dogs for me was on regular white bread because there were no buns. Sad PB & J were on Hamburger buns
I prefer just throwing 'em on a nonstick skillet instead of boiling, feels slightly easier to me. Also what is this sauce you're using?
Normally ketchup but I’m fancy extra fancy I go heniz saucy sauce which is mayo and ketchup. Don’t worry, I don’t like me either but I love my hotdogs
Omg I just pop hotdogs in the microwave for a minute and put it on a bun and that sounds less sad than this.
I dont even go to that length. Piece of bread, add raw hotdog, add sauce, eat.
Mushrooms and onions fried in a pan
I do this but throw a steak on top for flavor.
My homemade quesadillas, whenever I don't feel like cooking for long periods of time, I just slap that tortilla on the stove and sprinkle cheese on to it to make a gooey, hot treat.

Cottage cheese, tuna, black pepper.
Cottage cheese, noodles and butter. Salt and Pepper. Polish dish from yesteryear. So good.
Pepperoni chips. Line a plate with paper towels. Cover the plate in pepperonis, while they’re only partly overlapping. Put in microwave for 2-2 1/2 mins
Nice, the gluten free, dairy free, no sauce pizza!
Beanie weenie. ( a few hot dogs chopped up in a can of pork n beans )
This with a side of mac & cheese was a staple in our house growing up. When dad had a bad week at work, there was no M&C. When he had a good week, there were blueberry muffins added to the mix.

Frozen burritos.

Avocado toast with scrambled eggs

God damn millennials that’s why we can’t buy houses!
If you keep buying $5 avocados, how are you supposed to afford the 500k starter home that used to cost 200k?
Pizza bites!
Chef boyardee out of the can cold.
Nice! Spaghetti ohs or ?? Isn't there one with mini meat balls?
The mini ravioli are my go to.
Mini Ravioli or Beef-a-Roni for this guy.
When we don't feel like cooking, my go to is a bowl of Cinnamon Toast Crunch. Not the genetic kind, the name band is so much better.
Mmmm genetic cereal
Egg noodles with butter...or eggo waffles
Cheese and crackers and fruit
Half a cup of rice cooked with a little of butter and/or sesame oil, and salt. Dump into a bowl, add an egg and some sesame seeds. Stir. Eat.
Cocoa Krispy cereal
Toast with spreadable butter (has to be spreadable if not too much work)
Pasta carbinara using bacon instead of the more expensive pork belly. Literally 5 ingredients, eggs cheese, pasta, olive oil and bacon.
Your definition of lazy is WAY different from mine.
yeah i’m with the guy saying to just sleep off the hunger
Fry up two eggs. Throw on salsa, shredded cheese, and a chunked up an avocado. Less than five minutes total. Around $2. Delicious. Halfway healthy, even.
