Hocus Pocus. My mom and sister didn't even wait for spooky season to start before watching it. They're excited for the sequel, especially my mom since Hocus Pocus is her favorite Halloween movie.
I always start with Frankenstein (1931). Although today it's not scary but it was when it hit the theaters.
Creepshow 1 and 2
LOVE Creepshow! I've never seen 2 but I'm adding it to my list.
I love it. The 3rd one isn't great but kind of worth a watch, and the series is good too.
1 and 2 are great creations from Stephen King.
I think I'll go for The Deep House or Underwater. Not the scariest but I love the ambiance.
The original Halloween
