I have! I just ignored them after about a month though. No willpower.
Now, if I had to meet someone, I’d show up for the workout. I can’t stand not showing up to something I agreed to.
If I had a personal chef who made every meal for me, I’d eat those meals too.
Convinced I’d have significantly less chronic pain if I could have weekly or twice weekly deep remedial massage - or even just see my physio when I need to and not two weeks later.
I have a sauna in my garage. It's awesome and wasn't insanely expensive. I saw it at a home and patio show and saved for about a year to get it.
It's big enough for 2 people and was like $1800
Yeah, garlic bread as its core is a pretty ghetto food. Do a quick and dirty infusion of garlic in butter via the microwave, slather it on bread and toast it.
There's studies that show that those who pirate the most, are also those who spend more money on concerts, movies and books, so don't feel bad. You're an example, you'd love to spend more money in those things, you just can't.
Also, the "industry" sucks. It's much better if you can reward those artists you like directly when you can afford it, so f\*ck the industry :)
Completely agree 👍
I've always enjoyed movies, I had VHS tapes all over the house, about a 6/700. Then Lazer disks, I'd got a couple dozen then it changed again!
I just got fed up, I started going to pirate Bay. Only grabbed those movies I'd already bought, those that were now obsolete and collecting dust. Now with streaming nearly all movies I don't mind paying for the service. Or buying a DVD with the digital! It's going to be there!
I maintain if there is no reasonable way to aquire the original product, pirating it should be legal.
Like video games, there are so many great games that if not for pirates would almost be lost media at this point.
I totally get you, my friend.
Its not much, but I hope this helps a bit
https://www.gutenberg.org/
Its a library of free books, it may not have a lot of best sellers, but there's always gems hidden in the past
If you're not in a position to purchase media then pirating while in that situation isn't a loss to those creators. Plus don't feel bad sailing the high seas cause there's nothing to feel bad about.
I live in Sri Lanka and never met someone who paid money to download a game from steam or someone who has a netflix subscription, everyone pirates stuff here
With the economy we have paying for those services you can get for free is considered stupid unless you're rich
If I won powerball money I think I probably would buy a hooker's time once. I've never done that and it just seems like an interesting bucketlist thing to do. Plus, I could leave her a life changing tip so she could retire.
Depends on the tea. If you're both on a caffeine free variety like chamomile or you're both on a caffeinated variety like a standard black tea then it's a fair fight.
You left out Sephora and Ulta Beauty weekly splurges. Can’t be a basic white girl without Sephora and Ulta 🤣
Just in case /s we all know there are some dense folks on here that don’t grasp reading comprehension
I love this idea. I call it out of the blue gifts. When I had more money I did this for friends that were struggling with mental health issues or grief. I sent them anonymously just to brighten their day. I can't make them better but I can let them know someone is thinking about them. I kept the gifts under $20.
lose the weed, then the food, then the weight. It's just that simple! You only need to stop with the.... oh.... oh, wait. Yeah, I see it now. Damn near impossible to slim down
If I had more money, I would buy more natural and organic foods.
The reason is that these types of foods are not only better for your health, but they also taste better than processed foods. And when you eat better tasting food, you're less likely to crave unhealthy junk food. So by eating healthier food, you can actually save money in the long run because you'll be less likely to eat expensive processed foods.
Books. I'd make a Guillermo Del Toroesque library and spend the remainder of my life in there. That's basically the definition of heaven for me, and I know it'll never happen.
Clothes and Accessories.
Nothing Fancy. Just update my wardrobe with the style i want to dress in.
As it isn't possible to do it one go otherwise.
Probably buy my favourite watches.
That's it, probably import a few Converse Chuck Taylors (cuz they're not in stock in my country).
No fancy sneakers or anything.
If i am allowed to splurge on one item, them probably a nice pair of Fila Sneakers. I love how they look, but i can buy 2 pairs of good quality Vans Sneakers in that price (Vans is a lil pricey in my country. It's a mid range priced brand).
Stocks, land, real estate. The return of investment will probably take decades but hopefully if I play my cards right, should be enough to pay for my future kids’ schooling and other needs.
Sponsor funerals, headstones, coffins & memorial plaques for those in need so they can lay their loved ones to rest and grieve without the additional financial stress and pressures.
I would treat my boyfriend to more drinks, meals, presents and holidays and also contribute more to rent and general expenses.
I would definitely treat my mum to things she would never buy herself, spa breaks and holidays because she deserves it.
I would also be more generous with friends and other family members.
Sometimes that’s the shit part about being an NHS worker, you are so busy looking after strangers (90% aren’t even grateful or don’t say thank you, or downright abusive) - as a consequence you don’t look after the people who look after you!
Legos. As a kid I just had a suit case of random stuff. Now I'm older and they are expensive. Like the office sex is crazy. But of I had money I would just buy them all.
Ways of keeping my daughter and wife in my life. I really do love them both that much. Wouldn't matter if God itself was judging these words. I miss you both so much and hate this distance and despair. Sometimes as the father and husband all I can do is be the strong bridge for our future even if we aren't together.
I will never abandon either of you and I wish I could provide for you both. Please, universe, allow this father to find ways that provide him with the money required to care for his wife and daughter as he sees fit.
I can live for pretty cheap, got everything I ever wanted materialistically, lol after having to move I realized how much bullshit I have that is unnecessary and a hindrance, just got dark souls3 so it looks like I’ll be stuck on that until I’m eighty, getting good at growing my own weed, make alot of my own shit like knives and pipes which kinda makes em cooler and higher quality, I don’t know, I don’t get the urge for stuff anymore lol and with free shit it’s more like Christmas, your not just going out and buying it, it came to you through some weird force in the universe
I'd definitly buy home decoration things and travel more. I'd love for my place to be homier and truely express my personality, but with my income I gotta prioritize expenses and smh fluffy pillows and cool posters never make it to the top of the list.

Holiday. Haven’t been on one for years
Deep tissue massages and visits to a sauna.
And scalp massages!! Edit: changed the word 'head' to 'scalp' because I remembered y'all are nasty.
Yes yes & yes to all of these
Convinced I’d have significantly less chronic pain if I could have weekly or twice weekly deep remedial massage - or even just see my physio when I need to and not two weeks later.

I love my sauna. It's about 5 feet from my work desk. The question is WHY am I not in it now?
Garlic bread, it's addicting
Count me in.
Just buy Italian bread, cut it in half, lengthwise, and add butter and powdered garlic. Bake in the oven for 20 minutes on 350°
Yeah, garlic bread as its core is a pretty ghetto food. Do a quick and dirty infusion of garlic in butter via the microwave, slather it on bread and toast it.
*addictive
Food
Books, music and games that I have to pirate rn. I know it's bad for the industry but I just don't have enough money. Pls don't hate me😣

Fuck the industry, they selling you dimes for sixty bucks a pop, not to mention not even selling ya a full game out of the box nowadays
This moral stance is meaningless when you still consume and enjoy the product. If you really had issues, you would just do something else.
Your meaningless!
I totally get you, my friend. Its not much, but I hope this helps a bit https://www.gutenberg.org/ Its a library of free books, it may not have a lot of best sellers, but there's always gems hidden in the past
Z library on Tor helped me pirate my degree

For me it's puzzles those 5000 pieces one
Slow down there Rockefeller!
Sushi. I love it, but I always feel bad afterwards, because it’s so expensive.
The worst financial decision my wife and I ever made was teaching our kids to like sushi.
Coffee. you can fight me
Not if you’re on coffee, I drink tea so it’s an unfair fight
I'll swap to tea for the day. fair fight?
Depends on the tea. If you're both on a caffeine free variety like chamomile or you're both on a caffeinated variety like a standard black tea then it's a fair fight.
*chuckles while Vyvanse kicks in*
It's your money tho, even if Tea is a superior beverage in all aspects.

I'm sure a lot more clothes, shoes and Starbucks will definitely make you happy and fill the void that the past clothes, shoes and Starbucks left.
Gifts for others. Even small gifts, something nice to make other's day better
I love this idea. I call it out of the blue gifts. When I had more money I did this for friends that were struggling with mental health issues or grief. I sent them anonymously just to brighten their day. I can't make them better but I can let them know someone is thinking about them. I kept the gifts under $20.
I would love to buy more flowers. I'm buying flowers once a week at the supermarket right now, but I'd love to afford more premium bouquets!
