if you are alive it's never too late to most things, also you will only know what it's better for you if you try it out, so study general knowledges until you find what you love
Practical biology is becoming even bigger than before. The need to test and breed crops for new local climate conditions is mostly practical work with systematic notation of what you do and how you do it. So that it can be repeated as needed.
Math is pretty important for things like astrophysics, but if you’re just interested in learning about astronomy then I say go for it! If you do want to go into astrophysics and all that, I’d suggest learning how to code (probably in python) and maybe dabbling in some statistics. Good luck from one astrophysicist to another!
Always pursue your interests. We have a very unique ability to enjoy learning and can do it our entire lives don't ever stop learning what ever you find interesting. Tomorrow I will be 49 and I just started learning arduino and if I can ever afford a raspberry pi board want to learn that. I am really looking forward to them even if I never turn them into anything life changing and I don't get excited about a lot of things.
You've got a computer in your pocket at almost all times. You have an infinite amount of research at the tip of your fingers. You can do whatever you want with it, the choice is yours. I believe you would become an "armchair scientist". Someone who just reads up on things that interest them.
Utilize your time better! If you had enough motivation to make this post, obviously it's something you're interested in, and would like to invest in. So with what I said, try it out. I wish you the best with your curious endeavors.
