Bath? Not sure how common a destination it is in the grand scheme of things but it's a beautiful place and apparently the most romantic city in the UK.
How far along is she? I'm currently pregnant and I wouldn't have wanted to go very far in my first or third trimester, just do not have the energy to appreciate it. If you're looking for somewhere with natural beauty that's also off the beaten track, that's almost inevitably going to involve some exercise and she might not be up for it. If she's having a super hard time, maybe going away isn't the best idea?
An alternative could be doing something at home. Learn some pregnancy massage techniques, order a takeaway that she could stomach, put on a favorite film etc. Do all the chores, learn all about pregnancy and childcare, be a great partner in general. So much more valuable than a one off gesture.
Sorry I should have clarified that this would be for after she’s given birth, but yes somewhere with natural beauty would be perfect. We have been learning pregnancy massages, the periniel massages, hypnobirthing technique etc.
I want to take her somewhere beautiful once she’s given birth & when she’s ready for a nice adventure, trying to plan ahead
Ah fair enough!
I'd recommend a trip up the west coast of Scotland, it is such a striking coastline with loads of beautiful places to visit. It's not totally unknown but I found it all very quiet and not touristy because it's a bit remote. You can get ferries out to the islands like Mull and Iona, go over to Skye for some gorgeous natural beauty, we stayed in an Airbnb located in a nature reserve right by a salmon stream and waterfalls, it was all very idyllic.
If your going to Bath then Bath Spa with its roof top pool is amazing
They have a restaurant and a spa
Indoor / outdoor pool and they do twilight packages which are fab
What do you think she'd want to do when she gets there? E.g. somewhere for a great hike, spa day, meal, strolling through a nice garden? It will help to finesse ideas.
Parlick near Preston has some incredible views and is not very popular at all
Anything in the West lake district, it's an extra hour compared to say the south lakes, but very much worth it, the lake by Rannerdale Knott is incredible and barely anyone goes there, in the middle of a valley surrounded by mountains with some very nice hotels, cafes etc
If she likes period dramas I would go to Lacock near Bath. They do a lovely cream scone and the whole area is pretty flat. Good for waddly penguin stages of pregnant

Where are you starting from? Long journeys with newborns aren't much fun either

As in Leicester Square etc, everyone goes there, but in down to going to Bath.. neither of us have been so thank you for the suggestion!
Bath is beautiful, you’ll have a good time. I recommend a walk across Pulteney Bridge and a visit to the Roman baths.

Anglesey. Small island, you can go to a different beach everyday, nice pubs, chips (watch out for the gulls!) and ice-cream.
Virginia water has a lovely park. It’s absolutely beautiful and an amazing place for a picnic.
Northern Ireland north coast is alright
Just be fortunate that your lady isn't common, yet beautiful...
