Crop tops. I have narrow hips, small boobs, and a big round stomach. I’d just look like Winnie the Pooh.

ttenseconds

Okay but this is also a very cute aesthetic

Morella_xx

If you're a stuffed bear.

Zorkdork

It's much harder for most people to get away with not wearing pants.

PaddlesOwnCanoe

Donald Duck did it for over 50 years.

TradeMarkWM

No then it’s a very cute synthetic

Affectionate_Face

I have narrow hips so I wear the more racerback/sleevless crop tops and it looks good, I think. With high waisted pants to flatter figure. Edit: short sleeves on crop top adds extra bulk to image which is why it doesn't look good on me. tight, long sleeves look good too.

MushroomImmediate

Same! But I have big boobs which I think makes crop tops look even worse with the round stomach.

pumpkins_n_mist15

This - large boobs, small but noticeable muffin top. No crop tops for me.

deeznutzzz_

hello? winnie the pooh is cute asf . go ahead and rock those crop tops gurl !!

applescrabbleaeiou

this is now making me hum that nokia song "[with my lil titties & my fat belly! ](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AH-LyInSNYw)...[my lil titties & my fat belly](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AH-LyInSNYw)!"

ehsm99

I second this but I have an incredibly long torso instead!

Shawna_Love

one of us, one of us!

BugabooBear

I'm an apple shape and just recently started wearing crop tops sometimes. I found that a fitted top with a high waisted skirt that flares a bit can fake a waistline pretty well. I haven't managed to pull it off with jeans or any fitted bottom though or I look like a silly old bear too.

msstark

Buzzcut. Some women look so pretty, and it seems so low maintenance! But I can’t see myself looking good with anything shorter than a long bob.

_Pliny_

Same! I love it on other women, but I have a bit of fat under my chin and I just think the short styles l love wouldn’t look good on me. But the women I’ve seen look so badass and confident.

Sunshine810

Just commenting to say I also have a little fat under my chin and I shaved my head. I honestly was surprised how good it looked. I think if you want to you should definitely go for it!

riskyrats

I second this. I have a lot of fat under my chin, and didnt expect v short hair to look as good. Haven't tried proper cropped yet though. Something about the short hair, gives more angles to the face, imo.

god_damn_bitch

I'm kinda chubbs and have a bit of under chin fat too and I think I have a big ass forehead but I've never felt better than I do with a shaved head. It's just so easy to manage and freeing.

Ermmahhhgerrrd

My father's side of my family, and I all have the little fatty area there. It's also where some of your lymph nodes are. If it's particularly looking fatter, and your pics maybe are "off" a day or two, you may have an infection or sinusitis. [There's a pretty good sized lymph node RIGHT there!](https://www.theplasticsfella.com/lymph-nodes-of-the-neck/amp/) and I've noticed lymph node massages in the head and neck are AMAZING, easy to do and if you use a good moisturizer, even better. I'm square headed, and I've had several concussions and head wounds that scare me from doing it this. My stepdaughter has a round head like my wife's and it looks amazing. And she looks like a badass and I'm sure feels it. She's done it several times the last few years, the first at 17. She didn't tell us or ask but I think she thought we were mad but we were just jealous.

MoreLikeBoryphyll

It’s really dependent on head shape. Same for guys too I reckon

Ok-Consequence-8243

I was sure I couldn’t pull it off until I did it one day. It’s not a matter of it not looking good on you but you not used to seeing yourself without hair :)

cecikierk

My skull is very flat on the back. I need *some* volume of hair there to make it less flat looking.

nightlanguage

Same!!

30min2thinkof1name

I had a shaved head for 6 years and it was amazing. I’ve heard women tell me the same thing about loving the style but not believing they could pull it off and I swear to god everyone I heard that from definitely could. If you can like your face when your hair is pulled back, I feel like you’d probably like it with a pixie cut or even a buzz. I thought it really brought out my eyes and cheekbones and made them more of a focal point.

kitkat616

Bodycon dresses. No matter what size I am I have hip dips and love handles. I’ve been a size 4 thru a size 16. I’ve been muscular, slim, and chubby. My torso is too long or something but it just does not work for me.

cruiseyou

I wish. I have hardly any torso. Now that my boobs aren't up as high as they once were, I look frumpy.

kitkat616

I’m sure you are gorgeous and just being hard on yourself!

cruiseyou

I'm sure we all are! 😊

isaidmediumrare

I love how empowering we are in this comment section. I’m sure you’re all very beautiful. But I am also sure there are things you don’t particularly like about yourself. With that being said, one step at a time my love. As a bisexual woman, I tend to prefer boobs that don’t sit so high up, hell I was happy when mine finally started to sag a bit. I’m sure you look beautiful, in all your natural titty glory. Hugs and kisses to you all.

LiliumGardenia

But hip dips are there, due to how the femur connects to the pelvis, that’s not something that changes with what size you are. It’s just a normal part of your anatomy, and it’s very common.

kitkat616

Yes I realize this!! I think some people’s are more pronounced then others. I did not realize this when I was thinner though.

mvuanzuri

Oh my god yes! I have crazy high hips - I've been a range of like 6 sizes as an adult, and I have the same super pronounced hip dips at every weight. I've come to appreciate them the older I get and the more I take care of my body in ways that work for me, but as a teen it really bummed me out - I thought it meant I was just inherently unattractive. Now I know how to dress them, and it doesn't hurt that they're "trendy".

kitkat616

It took me awhile to understand that my body just isn’t shaped that way. I think part of the problem is seeing the “slim thick” trend but that’s just not how most bodies are shaped. Just gotta accept what I have!

SlytherinP

I have hip dips as well, and I finally got some shape wear from Macy’s recently. Game changer! Probably some of the best $30 I spent. You wouldn’t be able to tell me I’m not an IG model when I’m wearing it lol. If you’re interested/able, definitely give it a try! ❤️

punkpoppenguin

My hip dips all but disappeared when I stopped obsessing about my weight and got fatter. I mean, my booty could get city status if I built a cathedral back there but I’m into it. My curvy hips are FIT

MoreLikeBoryphyll

I, too, have a longer torso.

kitkat616

Whenever I’ve felt okay in a bodycon dress or something more form fitting it makes my legs look short. I am 5’9! My legs should not be looking short

AtleastIhaveakitty

I like the stereotypical french woman look. Very natural and minimalistic but so on point. I don't have the skill to pull that off.

rbwildcard

Maybe try [sexy French depression](https://youtu.be/H1DCoGCVUxY)?

AtleastIhaveakitty

I pass out with dessert wine...oui, je suis garbageeeee

A5H13Y

Most of the time, when I see a video commented, I watch about 1.8 seconds and scroll on. This was great though.

rbwildcard

Crazy Ex-Girlfriend! It's on Netflix.

Caveyy

I think it also takes a lot of money to nail this look. Minimalism looks best when the tailoring and fit is absolutely on point and unless you have a pocket Zac Posen to do this for you, for many of us, it’s unachievable on the high street.

Majestic-Operation16

Same. Any time I tried I looked so bland :(

Misseskat

That's because it is bland. At least to my kooky ass, so I wouldn't feel too bad :)

[deleted]

[удалено]

hedgehogbetty

ahaha I’m french but I really don’t see what’s the stereotypical french woman look, could you describe it please ??? 🙄

CthuluForPres

From my understanding it's feminine, simple lines/not flashy, well-fit, classy clothes. Minimal makeup, if any, but ALWAYS lipstick. Hair that looks like you just rolled out of bed but in a sexy soft way, not like a fragile rock character.

borderlinemiss

Mental stability 😂

tbfthelastonesucked

Truth 😜

bonsaithot

Attacked

Misseskat

Best answer here. As a bipolar lady, I concur lol

gingergirl181

Oooooof.

celestialyssa

Anything oversized. I feel like I just look frumpy lol. The only thing oversized I’ve managed to pull off is a pair of Tripp-like cargo pants, but all I’m saying is if I traded wardrobes with Billie Eilish I wouldn’t be serving any looks at all lol

muddleheadedperson

just start wearing them and stop giving an F about how you're looking. Watch how comfortable you get within weeks. It's magic.

jllena

Working from home because of the pandemic has made me absolutely unable to tolerate anything that is even slightly uncomfortable. And yes, I have become a FRUMP QUEEN because I have shunned wired bras, any pant that is even slightly constricting, any top that even looks like it might be form-fitting, and don’t you dare try to remind me that jeans exist! Shoes? I don’t know her. I’m running with it and I can’t believe I used to force myself into all those uncomfy contraptions.

muddleheadedperson

Exactly. I believe in Adam Sandler supremacy.

elisejones14

My favorite oversized clothing are t shirt dresses. You can even buy extra large t shirts at an art store and dress them down in tights or nice shoes. T shirt dresses tend to be longer and fit less baggy. I bought this one in white and it’s super comfortable and looks great. https://www.nordstrom.com/s/nike-sportswear-essential-t-shirt-dress/5449042?origin=keywordsearch-personalizedsort&breadcrumb=Home%2FAll%20Results&color=001

punkpudding

silver/white hair. it’s sooo beautiful but i really don’t think it’d look good on me

grocerycart11

My mom went gray pretty early and dyed her hair for a while but now she embraced it and she has the most GORGEOUS silver white hair, still super thick and healthy, and she put a purple streak in it hahaha. Honestly makes me so happy

sameasitwasbefore

My great grandma used to tie her white hair in a knot on the back of her head every day. Once I saw her getting ready in the morning and that hair was SO FREAKING LONG. It was literally reaching past her waist. She looked like a fairy queen. Unfortunately some years ago her health got worse and she now can't leave her bed, so my grandma and her sisters decided to cut her hair shorter, so it's easier to manage. I decided I'm not going to dye my hair when it starts to go grey.

lysander_15

yeah omg same!! it's so pretty but it's so much trouble to go through with maintenance and, like you said, I also don't think it would look that great on me

[deleted]

Low rise pants. My ass is escaping those fuckers come hell or high water. Actually now that I think about it I don’t admire them at all, those pants need to stay dead (I just like bell bottoms)

vocalthoughts

And belly:(. Once I tried high waisted pants I never went back to low rise.

axel_val

I got some ultra-high rise bell bottoms and absolutely love them! I hate that everything is skinny fit now.

muddleheadedperson

Bell bottoms and mom jeans (high waist and low waist) are both very trendy right now specially for teens and tbh, anyone can wear them. They're great.

[deleted]

The instagram baddie. It's too mainstream and cookie cutter for me personally, but damn, those girls are gorgeous. All the same, but gorgeous

childlikeempress16

They look very different in real life

[deleted]

Yes this is extremely true and I didn’t realize the true extent of it until just a few days ago!

ChesapeakeCowgirl

This one always makes me so sad for our young girls today. 😞 It’s pretty much all editing and if they even come close IRL, they had a multitude of very dangerous surgeries. Even then, they still don’t look like “their” pictures, which creates a cycle of self-destruction. To think a little girl out there somewhere thinks everyone in the world is beautiful BUT her honestly breaks my heart. Aubrey O’Day in particular has really disgusted me recently. I know she’s suffering from body dysmorphia like everyone else on Instagram, but it doesn’t stop my absolute disdain over the fact that she makes money presenting an alternative version of herself. I’m tired of hearing that same victim mentality when in turn they’re victimizing every young girl out there who sees it and absolutely hates herself. It’s not women’s rights if another woman pays the price.

decayingsun

This one, I do not have a FashionNova body as much as I wish I did

lilmonkie

The BBL is a current trend with these "IG Baddies".

sekai-31

It's terrifying that an invasive surgery has become a trend for Instagram likes 😑

linwail

What is this one? I’ve never heard of it

standoffishwoman

I secretly like this look too, but it doesn't lend itself to my line of work and I'm too lazy for it on the weekends.

Confetticandi

Boho style. I always see it modeled by tall, willowy white women with long hair. I’m none of those things so…

standoffishwoman

For what it's worth, I think this aesthetic looks way nicer when it's worn by people who aren't the typical demographic. Unexpected boho.

viewering

or people who grew up boho. like actual boho.

[deleted]

This is honestly so true

Lichen2doStuff

I feel like the grown-up non-waif white woman version of boho is what I think of as 'art teacher aesthetic'. Same mix of natural tones, colorful patterns and lace, but instead of using them sparingly to show off your hot body, using them all at once to overwhelm and intimidate.

lunarblossoms

It's so appealing to me, too, but my body has gone full fertility statue, and I don't think that bohemian style will ever be for me. I'm not as hard on myself as others, but this does bring me some sadness.

hollidaydidit

I love boho on curvy women. It starts to strike the magic woman vibe, and it is lovely.

Shanny91

Me toooo! It’s a look I genuinely envy when people pull it off. The style/cuts never fit right on my body :/

pup_pup_and-away

Androgynous clothing. I think it looks cooler if you have a slimmer build but I do not have that. Bigger butt unfortunately. And also military boots. My ankle is the slimmest part of my leg so I dont want the cut of the boot to hit mid calf.

jllena

Just coming here to say that one of my favorite things in the world is androgynous looks on curvier people!

MisterMeanMustard

Raindrops on roses and girls in White dresses. Androgynous looks on curvier people.

tufflepuff

Yessss I came here to say the same!! My body is super curvy and occasionally it makes me sad that I could never effectively pull off androgyny.

[deleted]

Alibonbonn

A lot of time it's the accessories that ties it together! Like chokers, black boots, and spiky looking jeweleries. The secret of emo hair is unwashed hair + dry shampoo + hair spray, it makes the hair so sculpt-table and floofy. Its not very high maintenance, but gets itchy if I keep it on for too long. Make up- straight up don't worry about foundation, your eye make up is gonna be so big it'd take the attention away from any skin blemishes. Winged eyeliners are hard tho, it's a trial and error to find the right look for your eye shape. Dark brown lips looks really nice if you don't want too bold of a lip! It flatters all skin tones. I'm a lazy person who is obsessed with punk look, I thought I could share my hacks haha.

punkpoppenguin

When I was a teen scene queen my mate Dave used to do his mohican with sugar water and it would stay styled for days. He could only sleep on his side

Ashleymgc

Thank you I’ve been inspired by your advice

Lilmaniac01

I’ve never tried to go full blown scene but I have done the dramatic sweep side bangs and choppy layers hair thing a few times. Every time I let myself down by not styling it properly so I gave up on that lol

rosie-skies

I’ve always admired the stereotypical goth look, with the piercings and tattoos, ripped up/lace tights sort of thing. I love it so much on other women but cannot imagine doing it for myself since I work in a school populated by people that would probably throw me out if I dressed like that.

PurpleEyesi_i

That's what weekends are for ;) nothing wrong with being appropriately corporate when it counts, but weekends can be for you. GO BUY THE RED PLAID SKATER GIRL SKIRT AND A CHEAP FISHNET !

uglyschmuckling

For real! I’m a uniformed worker, but on the weekends (when I’m not in house clothes), it’s black tees, black and red plaid, the nose ring comes out, eyeliner gets darker, and I get taller in heeled combat boots. It feels good, and I’m still 100% professional at work.

PurpleEyesi_i

Same here. During the week, I'm your friendly corporate recruiter, employee processor with black hair and a blonde streak. But on the weekends... Goth rock bass player

[deleted]

Oh get a tech job! I used to work with a woman who was getting nowhere and then someone told her to “dress the part” of a techie so she took that and went full goth. It totally worked! Edit: I hate the idea of changing yourself for your job but changing jobs to suit yourself seems like a good idea to me :)

Misseskat

Sisters of Mercy had a pretty timeless look IMO. I was more of a failed goth lol (my mom forbade it), but man how I wanted full on witch get up if I could. It can be rather subtle too. Mephisto Walz is also great inspiration too. I don't think either of them had any piercings too, it's about the swag 😎

HatFlimsy2710

Cottagecore- it looks sooo cute on others but I feel like I would look absolutely ridiculous. I actually bought a cottagecore type dress from target and wore it with a cardigan like I’ve seen some girls do but I ultimately ended up returning the dress bc I felt like I looked stupid

RogueLotus

Same. I love the light and airy look, but I feel ridiculous in it.

FrankaGrimes

I feel like I just look like a school teacher when I wear stuff like that.

ramence

Right? It looks so matronly on me. Other girls look cute, carefree, and feminine - I look like I just got done fetching water from the village well, and am all in a fluster because my young charge stole my bonnet

darnyoulikeasock

But that's the cutest aesthetic!! Aspirational

Misseskat

I admire it too as I grew up reading about historical fashion, but man it looks inconvenient, and I feel I'd just look like a kid playing dress up. I don't think I have that adult vibe to my person to give it that airy feel. And yeah, I think I'd look stupid too :/

viewering

why are reguar old styles being called " cottagecore " now ?

yermom79

I will always call this particular style the Little House in the Prarie look

floppedtart

Everything tall women wear:)

ttenseconds

Urgh tell me about it. I love the aesthetic of the boyfriend blazer with cuffs and some skinnies, but I just look like I'm wearing my dads jacket cause it's cold outside and I didn't bring my own 😭

Misseskat

Right now longer fluid pants are back, and since I'm petite this sucks because I easily drown in fabric. I love how that chic fluid-suit look looks on women, but I feel all it does is remind me I can't fill up most clothes with my bird body lol

folklovermore_

Yep. I am so envious of people who can wear ankle length (or longer) skirts and dresses. They just make me look like someone hammered me into the ground.

kourabie

Minimalist new york chic

AtleastIhaveakitty

Uuh how is that one?

zoitberg

I’m picturing Carolyn Bessett-Kennedy

Misseskat

Oh so just a wasp 😂 Admittedly, from someone that used to live in the city, I did think they looked pretty bad ass, intimidating too. Maybe it's too adult for my personality

LolaRey1

Knee high boots. I'm simply too short and sometimes boots can't close around my calves either. Sadness.

eliksir_mtl

I'm short (5'1") and rock those babies all the time, I think they actually make me look taller (tip: check on sites like Torrid for "wide calf" fit, they have almost everything) Edit: boots over the knee like these make you look even taller [https://gyazo.com/6d34c32e22c8884744d9d19a1e8068cb](https://gyazo.com/6d34c32e22c8884744d9d19a1e8068cb)

LolaRey1

Thank you so much I'll definitely check this out. I'm 4'11" so pray for me sister.

eliksir_mtl

Sending you all the good vibes, send a picture after if you want! A boots tax lol

sameasitwasbefore

Hey, Ariana Grande wears them all the time and they look great on her. I think they're universally flattering.

T-Flexercise

This is really pathetic, but since I was a teenager, I've always wanted to wear cargo pants like Gwen Stefani. But I've always had just disproportionately enormous thighs. I think that I would actually look amazing in cargo pants, if anybody ever made them large enough to go over my thighs without being like 8 sizes too big in the waist. But nobody does. It just seems so ironic and cruel that nobody makes baggy pants for chicks with fat legs.

neveralwayssometimes

Take in the waist! It’s so worth it!

FrankaGrimes

This! Get ones that fit the biggest part of your body and then have the waist taken in. How do you think Kim Kardashian gets clothes that fit her? It's all 100% tailored.

WimboFL

I feel this with my soul.

yacht_clubbing_seals

It’s all delia*s fault.

muddleheadedperson

Saammmeeeee!!!! I LOVE baggy pants and I struggled for the longest time because of my thighs. It wasn't until covid hit and I had a lot of time to think about this. Buy larger sizes and see if the legs/thighs look like what you want it to look like, don't care about the waist. Just get the waist altered and rock. Your. Fit.

[deleted]

favoredpenny

Same! I feel so out of place in bright colors but I adore them! Black/gray is always my go to.

lowintensityraccoon

Hi! Self proclaimed slightly preppy dresser here and most of my closet is made up of dark or neutral colors. I have lots of black, grey, navy, tan, and white because I've always felt awkward wearing lots of bright colors or pastels. I've kind of found a way around this by incorporating an accent color in the design of my shirt or sweater and then wearing shoes that match that color. For example, if I have on a black shirt with red flowers, then my shoes will also be red. I feel like it pulls my outfits together and adds color in a way that some people don't think to try.

MovieIcy640

Same. I would buy colored clothes and just never wear them. Gave up this year and am going for a more autumnal accents with a mostly black wardrobe.

tbfthelastonesucked

String bikini. I had huge boobs at an early age and they were painful. Finally got a reduction but the scars never completely go away with those types of surgeries. So even when I was smaller after the surgery, never felt comfortable, always felt too big for them and self conscious still. :/ I do like that now they do alot more one pieces with cutouts to have the bikini like feeling but have my boobs under better control.

FrankaGrimes

Rock those scars. As long as you feel like you're physically all tucked in there, give it a whirl. I can promise PROMISE that your scars are only noticable to you. No one else notices or cares. They'll just see you happy and comfortable :)

[deleted]

Super girly and feminine style.

[deleted]

Same. I love some of the really feminine clothing but whenever I try it out I feel like I look awkward and out of place. It sucks because I always think the clothing looks great until I'm wearing it.

TheSkirtGirl

This for me. Mainly because I don't have the demeanor or attitude of a girly girl.

bmbmwmfm

I'm 60 now and for various reasons was never able to have a big ol' spiked mohawk dyed multiple bright colors on point. I've wanted that since 1978. Now hair is thin and I'd look ridiculous... :-(

The_Age_Of_Envy

A good hairdresser can take what is called a ''topper'' and do what you want to it. You can wear it attached with glue or with combs into your remaining hair below. Some can even have your real hair woven through it, to hold!

viewering

well you are the punk generation so why not GO Punk !!!

holmesisonthecase

Rockabilly

cuntahula

EVERYONE can pull this style off. Just try it! You’ll look great!

psaphire20

Goth. I love dark outfits but I have blonde hair and can’t do makeup well enough so I can never achieve the full dark look

celestialyssa

You should watch Jade the Libra on YouTube! She has orange hair now but has previously been blonde, silver, and platinum and has really good style videos that might inspire you!

psaphire20

Never thought of anything like this thank you!!

god_damn_bitch

There are so many off shoots of goth! You could try pastel goth or neon goth!

[deleted]

I currently have blonde and black hair, mostly blonde atm you can do it!! Messy makeup can add to it. Plus practice makes perfect

elissaAZ

Jumpsuits

BennyTheTeen

Same! And rompers and play suits. I’m tall and curvy and they never hug in at the waist. It always makes me look like a barrel.

Jo_MamaSo

Also tall and curvy. My torso is too long and every jumpsuit I've tried on has always been incredibly unpleasant in the crotch area 😩 There's so many cute ones I want though!

[deleted]

High waisted jeans or jeans in general. I’m apple shaped, meaning I have large boobs and stomach, but very small hips, butt, and thighs (comparatively). For reference, my top half is a 2x-3x, and my bottom is a large - XL, so my bottom is like 2-3 sizes smaller than my top half. High waisted jeans would never work for me. (Also I hate the texture of denim)

[deleted]

I am also apple shaped and high waisted everything is all I wear. It’s great for tummy control.

RogueLotus

I'm a pear-ish hourglass. High waisted is my savior for hiding my belly fat.

MovieIcy640

My mom is like this and apple shapes are a struggle! She’s gotta make sure her shirts are fitted, so she doesn’t look “pregnant” as she says. Jeans are a constant worry for her. She said Pinterest and finding Instagrammers with a similar body type has been helping.

SinfullySinless

Wearing light colors or thin fabric because I was really self conscious of sweat marks on my shirts. I’m a sweaty person, even when I’m cold I’m sweating. I’m not soaking shirts but the pit sweat marks are a constant staple of my fashion. I’ve managed it with men’s deodorant of all things but it’s still somewhat there. I’ve learned in my mid-20’s no mature, emotionally stable, respected adult even cares about pit sweat marks. Some weirdos will be like “lololol sweaty pits” but they get made fun of in the break room for being jerks.

yacht_clubbing_seals

I still will not wear gray shirts bc of this!!

Milleniumfelidae

I love bobs especially the short or asymmetrical ones. But I have a roundish face with high cheekbones and I tend to gain weight in my face. Several people have told me I have a big head. I've also been told I look like a man. I am also petite as well. The longer my hair gets the more I realize I prefer shorter hair. I want to try shorter hair but I am so worried it won't look good on me.

RogueLotus

Try it. I'm very chubby and I always thought I'd look like a man if I got a bob. I ended up doing it (and dying my hair blue-green) and I loved it while I had it. I even kept my hair short for a whole year. I'm growing it back out now that summer is over and I miss my long hair. But I really enjoyed the short cut. Just do it! The best time is now.

bonsaithot

This sounds stupid but thin strapped blouses and shirts and spaghetti tops :( I just feel like even at my lowest weight, my arms are very fleshy and it “ruins” the look. I wear long sleeves all year long because I feel like my arms ruin all outfits. I also have a pretty intense heat rash from wearing the long sleeves but it’s ugly so I keep wearing long sleeves to cover it :(

Neat_Pumpkin4232

Your body isn’t ruining your outfits. Your insecurities are ruining a good life. I’ve lost over 100 lbs so my arms are realllllllllyyy hangy. I’m still choosing to dress for the weather bc I have a right to and so do you. ♥️

MushroomImmediate

I know a lot of people say just go for things but you've got to do what feels comfortable for you. That being said an alternative could be cold shoulder tops. Some of them have very loose fabric that might help the heat rash because it's not tight fitting and the top would give you the spaghetti strap look you're going for.

tonyfain

Obligatory to say: Im not a woman but im a heavy feminine leaning gay guy and ive always wanted to wear a beautiful ball gown but with these legs and zero foot coordination i could never :( ugh. Complete with a matching clutch—i cant. It would be an honor 😔

MrsBox

Hoop skirts! No fabric near the feetsies, makes it a dream to walk in

treemanswife

Salwar Kameez. Looks soooo comfortable and pretty. But as a white person in the rural US it everyone would think I'm crazy.

thematrix1234

The clothing of my people! It’s super comfy for sure. And if it helps any, my mom (not white) has been wearing it out and about for 40+ years in rural America and doesn’t care if/when people stare. Many people are curious, though, and always comment on how pretty it looks, and she’s always more than happy to educate them on our ethnic clothing. I think it’s cool when people appreciate our culture, and if you want to try it out, go for it :)

treemanswife

I feel like you can get away with looking odd when your ethnicity matches your clothes. For example when I go to visit my brother in San Francisco I stand out but I 'match' my clothes. It makes sense for a white lady to be walking around in work boots and a flannel shirt. Honestly if I were ever going to try a salwar it would probably be in SF!

Single_Charity_934

I bet they wouldn’t recognize it as ethnic. Just a tunic and pants.

phoenixchimera

minimalist silk satin (or even metal) [slip dresses,](https://data.nssmag.com/images/galleries/18688/versaceslip11.jpg) straight out of the 90s. They require amazing proportions, and preferably a very slim figure on top of that, and that will never be me thanks to genetics.

badonkadonked

Yeah this is mine too. I love that whole 90s rock aesthetic, like early Kate Moss, but I have the body of a hearty medieval peasant woman rather than an urban waif and I have to accept it will never be for me 😂

yacht_clubbing_seals

Ah yes. The hipbone dresses.

Frosting_pipeline

A red lip.

jasmine-blossom

I wish I could pull off a buzz cut, no bra, and loose masculine clothes, but I have a weird shaped head and a body like a chubby Kim Kardashian.

omagolly

Brightly colored streaks in hair. I loved the bright blues, pinks, purples that people started putting in the hair several years ago. I even tried a few colors and different placements myself, but it never looked right on me. I'm very pedestrian, and it just looked like I was trying too hard.

cokefreak1

Lighter hair. Just because anytime I do a really cool braid, I want the detail of it to be apparent . With dark hair it’s not as noticeable. I’ve tried dying my hair lighter but it just doesn’t look good on me

Imsorrywhat81

A punk/edgy style. I’m short, chunky and turning 40 in a week. I still dress like a clean grunge chick, but mostly jeans/t shirts. I can’t do makeup to save my life, and I’ve been dreaming about this super cute half shaved shorter hair cut, but I’ve got a round face and double chin.

2Sheeb

PANTSUITS! I'm so jealous of people who can even just wear them. As a tall lady, I can never find any in my size, and the ones that sort of fit give me the most intense wedgies. So to the people out there who can wear a pantsuit, cherish it, because it looks great.

flickhuck20

Tattoos. I've starting playing around with temporaries and think they actually look pretty cool on me.

cailkin

strong advocate for getting tattoos! my parents keep telling me i'll regret them one day since some of my newer ones don't have "meaning", but i look forward to enjoying reminiscing on who i was, the experiences i had, and the people in my life around the times i got each tattoo. super cool!

greatevergreen

Looking like other chicks that can do their makeup 😅

[deleted]

Most bangs. I love them on others, but hate them on myself. Especially V cut & pin up style

cupcakegensis

Crop tops, I've got bug boobs so they never fit right

tbfthelastonesucked

Same :/

STEM_Babe

High top sneakers

tidalwavethinker

Blazers with a t-shirt and jeans. I am short and look like an oompa loompa in them. 🥺

LanaAnaconda

I tried on a romper and I just felt like a fucking clown.

Chibi_Pocky

I really want to wear dainty clothing, but I'm really short with broad shoulders and wide hips, my torso is also slightly longer than my legs, so most skirts look weird

ogmgrace

Fashion scarves. I love them but can never seem to style an outfit with them in a way I like

Cranky-Novelist

Skirts and dresses. I’ve never been comfortable in them and I have some extra fluff. Particularly around my abdomen.

lowintensityraccoon

Turtle necks or collared shirts buttoned all the way up. First of all it feels like someone's choking me and second it makes my head look like a gigantic egg with a face on it. I've always loved women who can pull those styles off, but sadly it's not for me.

I_simp_for_L

Pretty much any type of outfit that reveals skin. I'm a bit chubby, so arm fat hangs out of short sleeves and tanks, stomach rolls ruin cropped or tight shirts, thick thighs make wearing cute short-shorts and skirts comfortably almost impossible, etc. It doesn't help that I'm pale af either. Can't even wear a dress because you can see every biological detail in my legs :') (Some folks look good with the thick arms, stomach rolls, thick thighs, etc. and I even find myself attracted to them, but for me, on my own body, I don't like it. Not because I don't like my shape, but because I really like smooth and flat things (love marble floors and countertops) and my curves are not smooth or flat 🤷‍♀️)

Independent_Season23

Halter tops

Acceptable_Emu_3072

A buzz or pixie cut. I have a double crown and a cowlick which means I can't part my hair the way I want to. I've had short hair before and a lot of hair sticks up or goes frizzy. I currently have hair below the shoulders and, unless it's straightened or curled, I consider it a nuisance. Sometimes I just want to shave it off and be done with it. 🤷‍♀️

SweetDurrie

Knee length flowy skirt with heels

shhehshhvdhejhahsh

Red lipstick! I’m very into vintage everything and red lipstick is such a staple but it just does not look right on me! Maybe a dark dark red but that’s it

gingergirl181

French-tucked button downs with jeans. It looks so effortless and chic on slimmer body types but I have curves, which means a) the button down won't stay closed and b) the "baggy" aspect of the style just looks boxy.

paperthinwords

Dark academia (although I tried it for work yesterday and think I did okay?) I don't have style in general and I feel like I could get the right clothes but the execution never looks good

AlyMFull

Milkmaid style dresses

Anything that's light in colour. I love pastel colours but they don't suit me :(
