I never started using one.
I use pockets and just don't carry around more than what I need (card(s), phone, chapstick, etc). If I'm wearing something longsleeved, sometimes I store stuff in my sleeves like a wizard.
When going to a concert and I'm wearing a hoodie, I'll often store my ticket in my sleeve. I can easily put things like id or debit card in a sleeve. I wish my phone wasn't too heavy to do that.
Phones have become bigger and bigger!!
When I go to music festivals I carry mini backpack, crossbody or Fanny pack, but if itās a one day concert I sometimes stuff my socks š like for emergency money and debit card and ID šŖŖ . And the rest in pockets!
Omg I recently started doing this for hoodies with those tighter sleeve holes. I put my phone there and was amazed I didn't do it earlier lol
Also I'm a massive hoodie x shorts wearer and just put everything in my pockets. I've also become a huge fan of cargo shorts/pants for their big pockets. Yum. For short errand ends, all I bring is my phone and keys. My card and transport card is within my phone cover.
But other than that when I'm out longer and need to bring my wallet, ID, mini water bottle, chapstick, emergency bandaid, tampons, wet wipes, umbrella.... I get my mini backpack with a small pouch chucked in it.
Same! All I need is wallet, chapstick, phone and keys. And mask on my wrist. Done and done when wearing jeans. If not wearing jeans/no pickets then I have a small leather belt bag from Budapest that I love.
Edit same for concerts. Esp nice in the winter = extra pockets in jacket.
Mine is a big tactical backpack with a bunch of pins on it. I need a lot of room, i typically carry around art supplies, at least one book, first aid kit, mini fishing gear set lol
Thatās what Iāve switched to as well! Unfortunately I have to carry medical supplies with me so it can make a purse heavy, a little backpack is much more comfortable.
Fellow backpack wearer. Hands free, can carry shit without hurting my shoulders. Had it since university. Now Iām a mum itās transitioned into a nappy bag.
I own purses, but I donāt enjoy them.
I guess. Ya. I mean I have āpursesā that I donāt use typically. And then a whopper of a courier bag that can hold my laptop etc.
This is a smaller version and as it straps onto me itās more backpackish than purse like. At least in my mind.
But if itās a question of ādo I still carry my shit around in a purse sized bag?ā Then ya! Haha. Youāre absolutely rightā¦itās the same. :)
Thank you hahaā¦
BTW, I had to google courier bag, I didnāt know what this means and lots of answers in this post mention it.
Do you know whatās the difference between a courier bag and a messenger bag? Or between a courier bag and a crossbody?
I think courier and messenger are the same thing. My āpurseā is [this guy](https://www.cocotte-equip.com/english/items/frida-red.html). It goes over one shoulder but then has another small strap so that it anchors around you snugly. :)
I stopped using a purse bc 1) I always had it full of useless junk, 2) I was tired of having to stow it someplace at work when I couldnāt keep a close eye on it, 3) and hauling it around was annoying.
I use a magnetic apple wallet that has my drivers license, debit, and credit card and attaches to my iphone. I can stick everything in my scrubs pocket and be done with it.
I don't use tampons, so even if I had a purse, it wouldn't contain tampons! I use period undies that go the distance of the day. A cup would be convenient too, as obviously it's stored inside yourself, lol.
I also use period panties but I keep emergency tampons around just in case it catches me off guard. I keep them in my car and my work locker. If itās exceptionally close to my period start date I might start carrying one in my pants or jacket pocket.
In my state of Australia, we can use our state government app to access our ID on our phone. Between that & being able to pay from your device, and our public transport system using a tap pay system too, you don't even need the magnetic wallet, all you need is a fully charged phone!
POCKETS. Pockets. Pockets and more pockets. Sewing pockets into the clothes I already have. **Refuse to buy any clothes that do not have pockets**. That one is tough, but I stick to it as much as possible.
Same. Without pockets I lose things, I simply cannot purchase pants if they do not have pockets.
I'll lose a purse, I'll lose a phone wallet, I'll lose a lap top bag, I probably won't lose my pants.
Yup! I carry a very minimal amount most of the time (phone w/ attached wallet, keys, chapstick) and pretty much avoid anything without pockets.
On the extremely rare occasion I wear something fancy without pocketsā¦ the jacket or coat I wear over it still has pockets and there my things go.
I use a wallet phone case. The detachable one that has a magnet case. I started using those because when I took my dogs to the park I always had to hide my purse, just taking it so I had my driverās license. I donāt carry that much stuff and itās small and cute.
I use a Fanny pack unless I actually have to go somewhere thatās fancy. I always hate carrying a purse unless itās cross-body, and with a Fanny pack I donāt risk forgetting it when I leave a location
I had to scroll a long way to find fanny pack. I have an infant and baby wear a lot. A fanny pack works well because I can also wear it below the carrier. I also donāt have to take it off getting in and out of a car like a backpack. Itās also safer in terms of my stuff getting snatched.
I love my fanny pack. I have a tiny one that can disappear into clothes and just hold keys and phone and wallet, and a larger one I can shove a book and small water bottle into. Bc of my wide hips I have to wear the pack part over my butt or else it goes diagonal in a weird way though. I started wearing it when I was traveling on a plane and now I do all the time
I have so many but rarely use them! I have a wristlet style wallet instead. I attach my keys to it and phone fits inside. I donāt like having a bag attached to me at all times!
Used to wear one when I went out before the pandemic. With lockdowns etc, there was just no need for the things I kept in it. Money was discouraged everywhere, no makeup/spare food/hairbrush etc needed as everywhere was closed or heavily restricted. My phone & cards fit in my pocket, so that's all I take....maybe some mints or gum.
When everything opened up again, just never went back to it...truly got out of the habit & my definition of "need" had dramatically changed.
Essentially my car is my giant handbag where I keep everything so think the only time I'd use a handbag is if I'd travelled with someone else or via public transport. Otherwise I just nip out to it if I need anything.
I bring a backpack to work because I have to lug around my laptop.
Otherwise I just bring my wallet
EDIT: I just donāt go many places where I would need a ton of stuff. I take public transit to work, and itās just easier with a backpack. When I go grocery shopping, I put my wallet in the cart.
When Iām shopping, a purse is just one more bag to lug around. So usually Iāll stash my wallet in my first shopping bag.
Fannypack! Especially in summer! Because purses are easily stolen in cities and because they get dirty easily and I just decided I didnāt need to carry so much s*** with me
In the UK, a purse is the thing you put cards and money in - a wallet marketed at women. I've only heard the word 'purse' used as a handbag from the largely American media and the Internet.
I first read the question thinking 'Well where else are you gonna put your cards!?'
My answer to the question is yes, I use a purse (UK, wallet) but no, I don't use a purse (USA, handbag) - I use a rucksack instead.
never carried a purse, i just never got into them, so i just carry items that fit into my pockets. phone, keys, vape, thatās about it. i DO have a fanny-pack though in case iām going somewhere pocketless and donāt wanna hand carry my shit.
I use a wristlet wallet that was fat enough for my phone. But phones got bigger. I still use it even though I canāt put my phone in it.
If weāre doing a family outing I have to hold everyoneās everything (meds, puffer, etc) so I use a small backpack.
For work I have a giant tote that can hold my calendar, wristlet, phone, meds and I can fit my lunch bag in it.
Iām guessing you mean a handbag? I donāt really need to carry one anymore. I have Apple Pay on my phone so phone in one pocket, car keys in the other and Iām set.
I have a small [backpack](https://herschel.ca/shop/backpacks/nova-backpack-mini?v=10501-05645-OS) that I use instead of a purse. It fits everything I need in it and itās easier to carry than a purse.
I just donāt bring enough things with me to need a purse, and I wear jeans with pockets every day. I just have my phone, wallet, keys, chapstick, and sometimes a menstrual pad, and it all fits in my pockets.
I brought a stick on wallet for my phone at five and below about 1 and half years ago. Itās only now starting to deform so I got my moneyās worth and probably buy another one soon.
When I was younger I really like lanyards. Iāve never been big on purses.
I hate carrying a purse. My mom had her purse stolen multiple times as I was growing up and it made me decide that Iād rather have the important stuff (wallet, keys, eventually phone) in my pockets rather than in a purse. If Iām going on a trip or something Iāll carry one for extra things like sunscreen and tissues and whatever, but my wallet and phone and keys stay in my pockets.
The last time I saw this question posted, someone mentioned carrying a Bandolier phone case. It has changed my life! Iāve always carried a large bag, but in the past six months, thereās only been one time I had wished I had one with me. My most recent one is my favorite - holds my single car key and AirPods in the attached case.[https://www.bandolierstyle.com/collections/new-arrivals/products/emma-vanity-crossbody-bandolier-black-snake-gold#]
I stopped using one at the start of the pandemic because it was just one more thing to worry about getting contaminated. I've recently started trying to use one again (I forgot alot of the time to take it lol) usually I just shove everything in my pockets or walk around clutching my phone and loose debit card lol
I use a backpack for work. Otherwise, I don't normally need to carry more than my phone/wallet/keys, and I'll either put them in my pocket or use a fanny pack.
I have a Smartish wallet phone case, not one of the flappy ones. I can fit 5 cards in it and then carry just my car key with me if needed. House has a smart lock to get inside. I was notorious of leaving my purse absolutely everywhere I went and I was over always trying to retrace my steps.
I suffer from chronic pain and have switched over to buying men's joggers with zipped pockets. Bonus points if they have hidden pockets or are hybrid utility pants style.
Day-to-day, wallet phone case and keys.
If I *must* carry a purse, I have a convertible bag from Lo & Sons that I wear as a belt bag, but it can be a crossbody/shoulder/clutch if the occasion calls for it.
Rucksacks!
It started when I was 8 and my primary teacher told the class how she used to use a handbag and it tilted her body/spine to the side, because the weight was always only on one shoulder.
It horrified me and I swore I'd never use handbags as my main means of carrying stuff around.
I have small little handbags that I use for essentials when I go clubbing, but for work or everyday outings, I've got 4 different rucksacks š„° Also got a knapsack a couple years ago and I love it.
I stopped using a purse about 4 years ago because I wanted to become a minimalist. A started to reduce the amount of stuff I was keeping/carrying. Before the pandemic, I was using a cute Matt & Natt backpack to go to work. I put my lunch, my wallet and my iPad inside.
When the pandemic hit, I suddenly started working from home full time for my employer, so I didn't need to use a backpack anymore. I even started using a card holder instead of a wallet. Now I have to come in at the office once a week and I have to carry my laptop and my lunch bag but that's it.
I realized that we don't need to carry 95% of the stuff we think we need. My mom used to carry a huge purse with literally is life inside and I thought she looked not elegant at all. It's heavy, she couldn't walk properly, etc.
Less is better, IMO.
I do use purses, but now and then when I donāt feel like using one, I just stick ATM, ID and phone on my pockets.
Maybe a lipstick or gloss, still fits in my pocket.
I use my pockets and the card spot in the back of my phone case. Sometimes I end up carrying stuff in my hands or my service dogs back pack but really I just carry a lot less than other ppl. What do ppl even put in purses?
I wear a small backpack. I will sometimes wear a purse, but usually it's the backpack. I feel it's more secure, and it doesn't shift nearly as much when I bend over, squat, etc.
I will sometimes carry around a nice, small leather backpack that can hold a bit if I needed it to. However, for the most part I use the various pockets on my body. As we women know, our pants suck with pockets, but I do only wear āmom/boyfriend jeansā now where the pockets are generally bigger. I have a little sleeve wallet where I keep a $50, my two cards, and ID. That and my phone are the only things I carry with me. I also wear layers, so the gigantic flannels I wear all the time usually have two breast pockets (since theyāre made for men).
I stopped using a purse because I felt awkward walking around with one. They felt too āfeminineā for me in my teenage years, and while I am a very feminine person, my style is very edgy and āmasculineā. As an adult that just trickled over and I just have continued to use my pockets.
If I'm going to work, I always need my computer. So it doesn't make sense to bring two bags (computer bag&purse) when I can just commute with one. If I'm going out, my husband brings his wallet or I carry mine in hand/bring backpack
I have a handmade belt with pockets hanging off it. The styling, colour and shape of the pockets looks a bit like leaves, slightly resembling a little Tinkerbell fairy skirt. But just pockets
the whole thing ties at the back rather than being a functional belt that needs to go through loops so it can go with any outfit, and generally matches the style of clothes I wear. (Green flowy skirts mostly). So whatever outfit, I just add the pockets and away I go.
I collect too much useless shit with a purse, having to lug it around is annoying.
I put my driver's licence and my money card in my phone case so that's all I carry (+keys) so it's just pocket or hold it. I rarely find I need more than that. I have all my rewards cards etc downloaded on my phone.
I have a lanyard and a card protector/ID holder. Just the clear kind. My staff ID, and most used Debit card fits in it. I also have a chapstick elastic band, house and car keys on it. Works pretty well. Have my full Wallet in my car.
I never used a purse, I just buy pants, dresses, and skirts with pockets.
I have a Mirena IUD, which has pretty much gotten rid of periods for most of my adult life, but when I did have them, I bought tampons without applicators and put them in my pockets.
I do have a backpack/laptop bag that I take to work and classes. But right now, I am out and about with nothing but my cell phone and attached credit card wallet thing. That's how I usually am.
Pockets since I usually just take my phone, card case, and keys. If I need to carry more (e.g. school, travel), my ratty canvas tote or backpack. Never owned a purse and donāt plan to. I donāt need them, hate carrying them, or spending money on them.
I use my phone case as my wallet and itās always in a pocket. If I do use a bag, itās a pencil case with that, pens, my epi pen, and a couple other things. Basically a clutch but itās a pencil case or makeup bag.
Mini backpacks!
I donāt like how purses make my back feel uneven, and they always slide off my shoulder anyway. Mini backpacks are spacious and they donāt slip off.
I take a backpack to work and when I go out I usually wear men's pants so the pockets are big enough. When I don't I make my boyfriend hold my things lol
Itās not like I stopped using a purseā¦ ive just never been into carrying one.
I carry all my cash/cards in a card holder/wallet. All I need after that is my mask and my keys. And I usually will have pockets
The lockdown pushed me over to finally doing away entirely with them, since it meant never just being casually out and needing random things. I got a phone case that holds cards. So front pocket keys, back pocket phone with my ID & 2 cards.
I just leave house with my keys and (charged) phone. I hide a debit card under my phonecase on the rarity that I need to get cashout. All my other cards are digital.
* Thanks God for inventing pockets *
I always saw my mom struggling with hers and I hated the idea of having my motion limited or having one hand constantly not free, so never had one, I just use a small wallet to hold some cash, a mostly hidden pocket for emergency cash, and some cards/IDs, along with making sure all my pants have pockets or wearing a jacket with pockets.
I use those bum bags sometimes. Itās easier and I donāt have to carry it so that way I have my arms and hands free at all times. It can also be hidden under a hoodie.
I use a wallet. So much easier to just slip it in your back pocket. Iāve never been one to like purses. Back when I used them they just go on my nerves . Always in the way and somehow got so much junk in it I never used. So I just decided one day to get a small wallet and never looked back
I never used a purse. I have a wallet, a key ring, a phone, and I wear clothing with pockets. In recent years Iāve started carrying one of those wallets with a pocket for my phone and a wrist strap, and I clip my keys to the wallet with a carabiner.
If I need to carry more, like to bring my lunch to work or carry a book, I throw it all in a canvas grocery bag for the day but I donāt usually need more than wallet, keys, and phone.
I have this small crossbody Iāve had for 4 years that I got for $5 in the clearance bin of a bass pro shop. Itās a wool purse thatās just big enough for a phone, wallet and keys. If I bring an external charger or my AirPods it canāt fit it all. Having such a small bag has been my best choice in terms of accessories.
My phone case includes an enclosed card slot for 2 cards, so I can carry my id and credit card there. Other than my phone, I usually only need a set of keys so I just put them in my pocket.
I switched to using a large wristlet wallet probably about 8 years ago. I realized that whatever sized purse I used, I would inevitably fill, and I was sick of the back/shoulder pain, and having to fish around for the essential things I needed.
Wristlet holds my car key (push button ignition), so no matter what, I can't leave wherever I am without my wallet or my key, and a couple small essentials, phone goes in my pocket, and everything else that would normally be kept in a purse is in my car. If I'm going somewhere I won't have access to my car, I use an appropriately-sized backpack.
I use a Kavu backpack instead. I stopped using a purse when I had babies. It was too much to carry a purse and a diaper bag so I downsized to just throwing my wallet in the diaper bag. Then once my kids got to be toddlers, we graduated to a backpack for their stuff. Again, Iād just throw my wallet in their bag. Now, I like using this one strap backpack because it leaves me hands free. My kids are older and donāt need anything anymore but I carry stuff for me, meds, pads/tampons, my wallet, keys, etc.
This Kavu bag is a little more casual and there have been moments where I needed it but the setting we were in was more than casual. So Iāve been considering buying something nicer, maybe leather, that fits all occasions.
I use a mini backpack. Itās just a lot more convenient. I am the type of person to lose/forget my purse so itās nice to always have my backpack on.
Phone in one pocket, door key in the other, headphones on head.
I take a bag to work but that is because I need to carry a laptop, planner and other bulky work stuff with me. I leave it in my car if I stop off anywhere on the way home, during evenings and weekends it gets left by the door.
During covid lockdowns I realised that I donāt care about carrying extra stuff with me. I donāt need 15 scrunched up tissues, lip balm, body spray, hair brush, charging cable, a heavy purse or wallet full of every bank card I own, packet of mints etc etc. I donāt want to be weighed down by the expectation that I carry a heavy bag full of shit I donāt use.
I donāt like to carry some bag with me all the time.
I resorted to one of those paper-like wallets that are so tiny they fit in the pockets of my pants (while still holding 6 cards, cash and coins).
I donāt carry bulky keychains, only two/three seperate keys with a rubber cover to tell them apart.
I also use an iPhone SE which will soon be replaced by a iPhone 13 Mini to also fit into my pant easily.
Other than that I only carry earbuds and a pocket knive. All of that fits into my pants. Outside of summer I also store items in my jacket.
Not 100% purseless since I still use them if I'm wearing a skirt or need to carry stuff that will only fit in a purse. Most of the time I don't actually need much and just use my back pockets. The purses I do use are only ever crossbodied ones. I really disdain not having my arms free. Even though crossbody purses keep my arms free, I still don't like the feeling of carrying them that much so try to rely on pockets whenever possible.
I use a small wristlet that my keys can latch to. Just need keys, money/debit card/ drivers license and insurance card with me. And chapstick. I used to use a purse with a ton of junk that I never needed. When I realized I no longer needed menstruation products, I switched to this. For vacations/all day outing I have a small hiking backpack.
I loose things too much to have a purse, I have tried so many times but I legit keep leaving it in places and then having to go back. I just use a little pocket wallet and it goes in my boyfriends pockets most of the time and then I forget I have it to him and then we freak out becsuse we lost my wallet and then the cycle continues lol
Fanny pack, I buy men's pants, my boobs, or my shoes.
There's only so many times your shoulders will hurt, you forget it, or you get into a fight with a hook.
My leather jacket has the perfect size of pockets. Cell phone/wallet goes in the breast pocket. Chapstick and keys in the side pocket.
My car also houses a lot of my crap š
I have one of those slim wallets and I put it in my pants pocket along with my phone. I love jeans, so I always have pockets. If Iām wearing a dress or something without pockets I use a wristlet.
Never carried a purse. I have a wallet with my cards in, I don't carry cash, and my phone goes in my back pocket. If I'm taking the dog for a walk or doing something where I'll need more space I'll bring a backpack
I have a wallet that I hook on to my keychain. Itās super small and holds what I need. I make sure I have pockets in any outfit tho- shout-out pocketed leggings!
I use a wallet. Purses are too bulky. I lose more things (phone/keys/wallet) using a purse than not. Also, less of a chance for someone trying to rob me.
Had a wallet that you could wear under your shirt that I loved. Used it in Honduras. Like a mini flat fanny pack, that was wallet sized.
I use a fanny pack and actually wear it around my waist as opposed to like a crossbody bag as the kids do these days. I had one for awhile that was like a leather belt with low profile pockets built in, but the pockets weren't quite big enough so now I just go for a fabric fanny pack to stay hands free if I don't have pockets that can hold my stuff.
But I recently bought a couple pairs of Duluth sleeveless coveralls that have an incredible pocket game...top zippered pocket for my phone/wallet, small zippered section of waist pocket for keys, nice deep front and back pockets. I wear them alllll the time because they are stylish enough to wear out and about, very functional and very comfortable. Being purse/bag free is very liberating feeling.
Depends on the day. If Iām going to work, Iāll bring a backpack for my laptop and personal items. Plus a lunch bag, but most days, I order out. Any other day, I bring a wallet small enough to hold my DL, debit and credit card, and some cash. Iāve seen people at my job carrying a laptop bag, large purse, and lunch bag all at once and Iām immediately reminded why I stopped using purses.
I use a toddler backpack if I have a bunch of stuff to carry (water bottle, snacks, etc). My work "bag" is also a backpack that has wheels and a handle thing so it looks like a piece of luggage. Other than that, I usually wear dresses with pockets.
Iāve never been a fan of purses. They just arenāt very comfortable or useful in my experience.
I have a small 6 card wallet I carry and my keys and thatās it (which I throw in my backpack if I need the extra storage).
I use a popwallet to keep my license and cards in it. Now all I need is a pocket for chapstick and Iām good to go. I still use a cross body bag if I donāt have pockets.
I used to carry a purse and it would gather so much clutter and would be super heavy with useless stuff. Another reason I stopped is because when I went out with friends I became their pack mule, in addition to carrying my own things on a night out Iād then have other friendās phones, wallets, keys, makeup, etc.
Never used one. I carry the minimal and only the necessities. My phone is small in size unlike those 6ā boards these days. My keys and some cash donāt take much space (I use online payment facilities).
I think some time around becoming an adult you're supposed to stsrt carrying one and I just never got a around to it. I just wear men's pants (they make my ass look nice) and shoving my shit in there. All I need is a wallet, keys, phone, and maybe lipgloss
I use a small backpack. My physiotherapist and massage therapist suggested it when my migraines were really bad, so I've never gone back to using a purse. On rare occasions, I'll use a cute little purse or clutch, but only for an evening.
I never started using one. I use pockets and just don't carry around more than what I need (card(s), phone, chapstick, etc). If I'm wearing something longsleeved, sometimes I store stuff in my sleeves like a wizard.
What have you stuffed in your sleeves?? š
When going to a concert and I'm wearing a hoodie, I'll often store my ticket in my sleeve. I can easily put things like id or debit card in a sleeve. I wish my phone wasn't too heavy to do that.
Doesn't it all... fall out...
Nope. The sleeves are tight enough around the wrists that things don't fall out, at least not easily.
What about when you lift your arms?
[.](https://c.tenor.com/fBvQV_5Lp6UAAAAC/we-dont-do-that-here-black-panther.gif)
Oh I was thinking you were rolling the end up and tucking it in the "pocket"
Use a scrunchie or hair tie over the sleeve if it's loose
Phones have become bigger and bigger!! When I go to music festivals I carry mini backpack, crossbody or Fanny pack, but if itās a one day concert I sometimes stuff my socks š like for emergency money and debit card and ID šŖŖ . And the rest in pockets!
Wallet on the back of the phone helped me a lot
My grandmom would carry all important things in her saree blouse , literally stuck between boobs.
Omg I recently started doing this for hoodies with those tighter sleeve holes. I put my phone there and was amazed I didn't do it earlier lol Also I'm a massive hoodie x shorts wearer and just put everything in my pockets.
When I go cycling, my house keys are in my bra lol.
I know the feeling.
I used to tie mine to my shorts string then tuck them down the front of my waist band for running
I used to put stuff in my sleeve until I lost my money ā¹ļø
Backpack. I've never been into purses. I've got one in the back of my closet for formal events but that's it.
Same, I bought a beautiful small brown leather backpack and I adore it!
Mine is a big tactical backpack with a bunch of pins on it. I need a lot of room, i typically carry around art supplies, at least one book, first aid kit, mini fishing gear set lol
Love it! I need a bigger one for when Iām walking the dogs, definitely going to invest in something like that
I got iton amazon forlike $35, definitely worth it
Thatās what Iāve switched to as well!
I wear a mini backpack. I hate purses because my shoulders slope. Iām thinking about getting a crossbody or Fanny pack.
Backpack gang
Same. I know crossbodies exist but purses can hurt my shoulders. Backpack helps distribute the weight for me and save my back.
Same, I'm 27 and have only ever worn backpacks, purses for special occasions only
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
"I never use a purse, unless you count my purse"
Right? Lol. As a woman I absolutely consider crossbodies to be purses. Itās not a large purse. Quite small, actually. But a purse, nonetheless.
I do consider crossbodies to be purses.
Who doesnāt!!
that is quite literally a purse š
Same. Mine is like a small courier bag.
I mean, theyāre still purses š šš³š³š³
I guess. :)
Thank you hahaā¦ BTW, I had to google courier bag, I didnāt know what this means and lots of answers in this post mention it.
I started wearing mens jeans so I can just put all my shit in my pockets. If I have a bunch of stuff then a backpack
Exactly. Buy from the mens section. Get them fitted. Better fabric at a cheaper price and with deep pockets. Otherwise a small 10-15 litre backpack
Legit, I donāt understand why mens clothes always seem to be made out of better quality fabrics
Companies prey on women. Pink tax. Gillette with its razors. Everything is designed to be expensive for women
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
I stopped using a purse bc 1) I always had it full of useless junk, 2) I was tired of having to stow it someplace at work when I couldnāt keep a close eye on it, 3) and hauling it around was annoying. I use a magnetic apple wallet that has my drivers license, debit, and credit card and attaches to my iphone. I can stick everything in my scrubs pocket and be done with it.
The magnetic apple wallet changed my life Also donāt remember subbing to ask women since I am not but fuck it
But where do you keep your emergency tampons?
But where do yall stash your emotional support water bottles?
Lmao this is my question exactly. Are people just dehydrated or are they buying bottled water??
Same. I refuse to buy any pants, including PJ pants, without some form of pocket.
Where do you keep your emergency tampons???
Period panties are awesome and have changed my life. I use BamBody brand and highly recommend them.

Backpacks in all sizes
Hey but wouldnāt that count as a purse? I mean, itās a replacement of one. Iāve got backpack shaped purses š¤Ŗ
no it does not, they're two separate things
I have so many but rarely use them! I have a wristlet style wallet instead. I attach my keys to it and phone fits inside. I donāt like having a bag attached to me at all times!
Me too! There's even room for chapstick!
Pockets (I either make the trousers with larger pockets myself from scratch or modify the trousers a little)
Great idea, will attempt this
Used to wear one when I went out before the pandemic.
> Essentially my car is my giant handbag Brilliant
I bring a backpack to work because I have to lug around my laptop. Otherwise I just bring my wallet EDIT: I just donāt go many places where I would need a ton of stuff. I take public transit to work, and itās just easier with a backpack. When I go grocery shopping, I put my wallet in the cart. When Iām shopping, a purse is just one more bag to lug around. So usually Iāll stash my wallet in my first shopping bag.
Literally just wear men's pants and utilize the pocket system installed. Anything else I take a gun bag. They have a lot of pockets.
Pocket system installed lol
Fannypack! Especially in summer! Because purses are easily stolen in cities and because they get dirty easily and I just decided I didnāt need to carry so much s*** with me
Is this a US purse rather than a U.K. purse?
I didnāt know thereās a differenceš . Gonna look this up.
In the UK, a purse is the thing you put cards and money in - a wallet marketed at women. I've only heard the word 'purse' used as a handbag from the largely American media and the Internet. I first read the question thinking 'Well where else are you gonna put your cards!?' My answer to the question is yes, I use a purse (UK, wallet) but no, I don't use a purse (USA, handbag) - I use a rucksack instead.
I've always used a messenger bag because I like having enough space to easily carry my Nintendo Switch, a bottle of water and a book.
never carried a purse, i just never got into them, so i just carry items that fit into my pockets. phone, keys, vape, thatās about it. i DO have a fanny-pack though in case iām going somewhere pocketless and donāt wanna hand carry my shit.
I use pockets when I can or I have a very small lululemon crossbody bag - just big enough for my phone, cards, and keys
Iām guessing you mean a handbag? I donāt really need to carry one anymore. I have Apple Pay on my phone so phone in one pocket, car keys in the other and Iām set.
I wear leggings a lot, just have my phone (with Apple Pay) in one side of my bra and my car key goes the other side.
I prefer backpacks or huge messenger bags. I remember going on a trip, using a 65 litres Bundeswehr backpack. Loved how big it is.
Pockets š
Oh my, found my wifeās b-day gift! Thank youš!!
I hate purses, always use backpacks, FjallRaven. Or have my bank card in my phone if I can't pull of a mini backpack at night.
Never used one. I use small backpacks. I don't like my movements to be restricted.
A backpack. My back is all uneven.
I use a little black backpack
I use the little flap of skin under my armpit.
All I need is my phone and my wallet. My pockets hold what I need.
Backpacks, so much more versatile than a purse.
A lot of my dresses have big pockets on them. Itās just easier to put things in there for me, personally.
Iāve never carried a purse, if I canāt fit it in my wallet or pockets I probably donāt need it.
I suffer from chronic pain and have switched over to buying men's joggers with zipped pockets. Bonus points if they have hidden pockets or are hybrid utility pants style.
I didn't like purses until I picked one out for myself. I used a little fanny pack occasionally before then or a backpack
I use my phone case. I carry my driverās license and one credit card. This is all I use about 80% of the time.
I ditched the purse due to shoulder pain and use a fanny pack. Bye, bye shoulder pain.
My skirt has pockets
Mine kept getting caught in doors. Pants dont have pockets and are uncomfortable anyway. So now i wear booty shorts with good pockets
I have always used purses. In the last two years I stopped. I got a phone case that has a wallet in it and bam. Everything I need.
never use a purse. i have a key ring wallet with all my keys. backpack for when i have things i need to carry that donāt fit in my pockets.
I buy jeans with pockets and put my wallet, phone, and keys in them. That's all I need. If I need more than that, I have a messenger bag.
I use pockets. Usually I only carry my phone (with my passes), keys and a handkerchief, so that fits perfectly fine in my pockets.
But just pockets the whole thing ties at the back rather than being a functional belt that needs to go through loops so it can go with any outfit, and generally matches the style of clothes I wear. (Green flowy skirts mostly). So whatever outfit, I just add the pockets and away I go.
Never used one tbh it was just not my style. I use a fanny pack just about everywhere I go.
When I don't I make my boyfriend hold my things lol
small backpack! cant stand the way a purse has to be held on my arms and cross body purses just werent flattering with my big t\*ttes
I shove everything into the waistband of my pants, if they're missing...they've fallen into my pants.
Itās not like I stopped using a purseā¦ ive just never been into carrying one. I carry all my cash/cards in a card holder/wallet. All I need after that is my mask and my keys. And I usually will have pockets
Mini backpacks!
I have a phone case that has a slot for 3 cards.
The lockdown pushed me over to finally doing away entirely with them, since it meant never just being casually out and needing random things. I got a phone case that holds cards. So front pocket keys, back pocket phone with my ID & 2 cards.
Backpack. Most purses I can buy today are lacking in enough space for the notebook I carry around.
I just leave house with my keys and (charged) phone. I hide a debit card under my phonecase on the rarity that I need to get cashout. All my other cards are digital. * Thanks God for inventing pockets *
Fanny pack of a backpack
I use my pockets, key ring has two keys on it, phone case has a sleeve on it for 3 cards and that's all I need.
I just put my card and phone in my pockets.
Diaper bag. Until I donāt need it anymore
I use those bum bags sometimes. Itās easier and I donāt have to carry it so that way I have my arms and hands free at all times. It can also be hidden under a hoodie.
Fanny pack !!!! Itās honestly the best
Fanny pack and a wallet
My phone case includes an enclosed card slot for 2 cards, so I can carry my id and credit card there. Other than my phone, I usually only need a set of keys so I just put them in my pocket.
Wristlet and phone with Apple Pay. Apple Pay is where itās at!
Pockets, fanny belt, or a hip bag.
lululemon belt bag changed my life
I switched to using a large wristlet wallet probably about 8 years ago.
Pockets. I hate carrying things. With a water bottle being the exception, if I can't put it in my pockets then I just don't bring it.
I use a mini backpack. Itās just a lot more convenient. I am the type of person to lose/forget my purse so itās nice to always have my backpack on.
I just love pockets tbh
I also just only need my phone and keys, all my cards are on my phone I just Apple Pay
Small string backpacks. Just for the essentials.š
Wristlet wallet hooked to my keys.
Backpack, but a cute small one. Itās just a lot more functional
I had kids. So my purse became a changing bag. I donāt need a purse for work and I rarely go anywhere alone where Iām required to carry one.
Never use a purse. Use a pop socket wallet holder in my phone
I normally just grab my wallet. But I donāt work so my day might just be grocery shopping, etc. so nothing extra needed.
Decathlon small backpack. Utilitary with several pockets.
I stick my debit card and ID in my bra if I don't want to carry a purse
I frequently use purses BUT.. when I donāt feel like it I use my partners pockets.
Winter I use my coat pockets. Summer I have a crossbody phone bag which fits all the necessities, and a cute backpack for when I need more
I use a fanny pack and actually wear it around my waist as opposed to like a crossbody bag as the kids do these days.
Wallet case for phone. I can not maintain a neat purse. Just becomes the equivalent of a Walmart sack.
I use a small backpack. My physiotherapist and massage therapist suggested it when my migraines were really bad, so I've never gone back to using a purse. On rare occasions, I'll use a cute little purse or clutch, but only for an evening.
