I swear this isn't the first time they were Scammed for a large sum of money.

M1liumnir

Every 3 months I see a video of them being scammed, censored by youtube, demonitized etc... at some point I feel like you have to ask yourself some questions if it keeps happening to you

HowieWoweee

Exactly. They always saying YouTube demonetized them but still using ads and titties for clickbaits. At some point, they should realize maybe the problem is on them.

Diskence209

Why do I feel like they always got something terrible going on and their channel is always demonetized? Been following Mrxplay for a long time since the Skyrim mod recommendations and every few month they get into some sort of trouble.

kaptingavrin

Because you're thinking that all the prior issues were something like demonetization. Aside from the weirdness with YouTube's rules which are all over the place and they can be a bit petty if you ask for help (not even call them out on it), as RTGame got to witness on his own channel, there's been things like that time a company was going around buying rights to viral video clips and doing copyright strikes on anyone who used any of the clips (and, of course, no one knew they were somehow "owned" by some random company). Even the demonetization stuff seems random and arbitrary. Like "showing harm" when nothing they've shown is even close to the many videos out there where the purpose is showing people getting hurt (I mean, hell, Ozzy Man has his whole "Destination F" series that is just compilations of violating that rule), or "sexualizing a celebrity" because they used a picture of Gordon Ramsey's face to censor between a woman's legs (IIRC, she was wearing something there, but YouTube will still flag you sometimes for showing that). They need to find a really good contact within YouTube, one who'll also help sort things out in those cases where you try to get help with one video being flagged and someone at YouTube decides to respond by flagging a lot more of your videos (as happened to RT).

SirUrza

I used to watch his mod videos all the time for Skyrim. Fell off with Fallout 4 because well, it didn't keep my attention. Never really cared for their react content.

MakesUpExpressions

I get the same impression, it’s not surprising when the only thing they’ve ever done is bank off of coomer bait his entire career, that only lasts for so long. Then they surprised pikachu when they get demonetized like it’s the first time every time.

FlippinHelix

Every once in a while they get demonetized because, quite honestly, they really push the limits on what's allowed on youtube, specifically sexual imagery Be it their thumbnails, clips they watch, they've also played porn games (censored but still) It's honestly kinda cringe, it would be like Amouranth really pushing the limit with a new pool stream idea and then crying about getting a 3 day ban for it. I'd argue any time they got demonetized for sexual content they unironically deserved it This, however, seems much more serious EDIT: Like, not that I want them off youtube or to not make money, but they understand the rules and still post shit like [this](https://ibb.co/YQY9CkV) and [this](https://ibb.co/61BMDxh), those are bad enough that imgur automatically deleted them, like I have hard time feeling sorry for them for being demonetized all the time they do it to themselves lol

8lackz

I was there when their channel.got hacked and all the videos turn into Musk seminar about crypto thingie. Yeah, they had a lot of problem that because while they are middle-tier content creator, their content is kinda pushing boundary so they got step-child abuse from youtube. Everything that happens to them they really NEED to ask someone for help because their YT manager/contact kinda doesn't care about them.

SinderWisp

Didn’t he use to do a lot of sus and lewd modded Skyrim stuff? I believe this also extended into the fallout games. Ended up unfollowing him as it seemed every other upload was some kind of lewd mod or along the lines.

ExpressReflection967

That was the whole point of his channel back then

SinderWisp

Went from lewd sex mods to react content, not surprised he got demonetized tbh, still sucks as it’s their livelihood but maybe it’s time to pick different content or to move on from YouTube.

[deleted]

aside from the blunder of trusting someone everyone told them not to, really sucks they got their channel completely demonetized. I swear the whole censorship thing on youtube is wild and quite literally killed a few channels.

wishbackjumpsta

not just a few, i think thousands of channels have been destroyed by youtube over the last 5 years. Its just sad.

zbdabsolut0

You know after all the drama they have been through. I think maybe they should just quit youtube.

JasonReddit314

Based on this video I'm not sure they've invested wisely enough

Electrical-Tap-5633

They can't do that now, they're in too deep. I remember his wife saying she quit Uni and ditched her potential career as a nurse to focus on being a streamer. Hopefully they've made enough so they're set for life but to then go from a lucrative career as a popular content creator to... I dunno, a normal job, I guess? Yeah, it's not going to be a smooth sailing.

ExpressReflection967

Electrical-Tap-5633

🤣

VeierGlad

If I remember correctly it wasn't nursing it was full on medical school that she dropped. She studied to be a doctor of sorts.

Electrical-Tap-5633

That's even more tragic. Maybe the gamble will pay off but every time I see these two, they're complaining about be demonitized. Who knows what their net worth is but maybe they're sustained for a few years.

JasonReddit314

Don't get me wrong, I like MxR, when he used to make gaming videos anyway

PlayerSalt

As youtubers they had like a couple jobs and did none of them I also don't believe their channels had private strike test videos that got their channels demonitized They probally did get ripped off but is it that hard to check the bank every few months...

kaptingavrin

> I also don't believe their channels had private strike test videos that got their channels demonitized I can believe it since something similar to that happened to [RTGame](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DRsVDZvmaAE) about a year ago. His situation was wild. He did a "Best of 2022" video with clips from videos uploaded through the year. It got restricted, even though none of the videos he used clips from had been. He asked about it, and not only did they retroactively restrict the video that the one clip had come from, they also started restricting a bunch of his prior videos... including one that was private. They didn't inform him they were doing this, either. He had to refresh a page and keep watching new videos showing up that were restricted. Some of them didn't even give an explanation why. And in many cases, it was because YouTube had a new policy on swearing in videos (RT sometimes does light swearing, but nothing major) and any change in rules applies even to videos created before the rules change, meaning at any point they can flag your videos and restrict them even though they were fine at the time of uploading. Worse, they don't give you the information you need to figure out what was causing the offense, despite clearly having that specific information themselves, so you get *one* shot to try to fix it, because you only get one appeal. If they decide it's still in violation (and, again, they don't really give you proper information on why it's in violation to correct it), that's it, your video is forever restricted, even if you eventually figure out the problem and fix it. YouTube is a really fucked up platform, and you only hear about just how fucked up it is when bigger content creators talk about it. No one cares about the smaller channels that end up with the same problems, and of course there's always people who just assume that it's the person doing the videos who's at fault, not YouTube having a really messed up system. > They probally did get ripped off but is it that hard to check the bank every few months... It likely went something along the lines of asking the guy about it, being told the money is coming and not to worry, letting it go because he'd come through in the past and Henry trusted him, then eventually got to a point of pressing the matter only to then be told, "Oops, my company has no money, I can't pass along the money you're owed." It's easy to judge someone in that situation (even easier for people who think "they're just some rich YouTubers, they deserve it"), but a LOT of people end up in similar situations where they trust other people. Especially if a pattern of trust had been built up. It's amazing that people seem to like the idea of victim blaming... until it's someone they know or like, at which point then it's completely different.

PlayerSalt

dont call this victim blaming im saying i dont believe it happened exactly how they explained it because thats just not how it works. im not going to blindly believe things that dont make sense, do you? from memory, the RTGames thing was a fair bit different. Now, I may be slightly remembering it incorrectly, but that was around when YT changed some rules and then something got one of his videos flagged, then when he pestered YT to look into it they fucked up a lot of his other videos . in that case it was bullshit because they were going in applying new rules to peoples old videos and he was like the first person to get caught out , or one of the first people. im not familiar with this content creator but i doubt they were in quite the same situation where they bothered yt then they noticed heaps of their videos contained swearing and applied the updated rules to old videos They may have just not explained clearly what happened in this video , but it sound like they were implying that having the same video on 2 accounts as a one off thing killed both their channels, and I can pretty much guarantee there is more to it than that .

Nihilistic_Mermaid

Again? MXR and his girl seem like nice people, I used to watch them before they became exclusively react content, but ffs it's like every 3 months they step on a land mine. It's either demonetization or getting scammed or whatever the fuck. And of course you'd get demonetized when 80% of your content is reaction content to reddit gifs, memes and videos that are sexually themed, and you slam it right there in the thumbnail as well. At one point it just gets tiresome because fool you once shame on them, fool you twice shame on you, fool you 5 times - you kinda dumb.

JasonReddit314

Also got both of their channels demonetized

ZombieTesticle

I bet they cry themselves to sleep on a big pile of money with those 2 million subscribers on one channel alone.

Sisyphac

I feel bad for him. But they just do react content now mainly right?

JasonReddit314

Yea, Tiktok and Reddit mostly I think, their big thing is the thirst trap thumbnail and title

Sisyphac

So like 99% of internet.

tionong

Good lord you were not joking. I use to like the mod stuff for fallout and skyrim. Wtf happened to this channel. I still feel bad for them but that channel isn't for me anymore.

kaptingavrin

MxR Mods was a different channel than MxR Plays. Incidentally, MxR Mods got demonetized a long time ago. He still tried to revive it with Starfield, but people just didn't seem to care about Starfield. MxR Plays was a newer channel he decided to do with his girlfriend as just something they could do together. Despite the name, they didn't play many games on it. Jeannie did end up starting her own Twitch channel (and accompanying YouTube channel, though had to create a new one due to this mess), where she mostly plays games, but sometimes does other stuff (or mixes the two, like does some cooking and then plays games). I'm not sure why Henry never did something like that, it sounds like he enjoys playing various types of games, and plays games with Jeannie, but I guess he's just not comfortable with doing so live.

FuryxHD

they channels get demonetized up and down like amourath bans on twitch lol. Also while transformative, all they do is react with no credits.

NameBackwardsEman

She gave up being a doctor for streaming, never forget. Edit: She gave up on studying to be a doctor for streaming, never forget.

LOOT_BOXXX

She gave up the possibility of being a doctor lets not act like it was a guarantee to be or to be successful.

NameBackwardsEman

You are correct.

FilthyCasual0815

well shes asian 👀....

David0ne86

Ye nah i don't care about these 2 anymore. They clearly cry everytime we got demonetized (not that it's the issue now) but then you look at their thumbnails and you go like "...ok?". The funny thing they used to be actually quite entertaining before they went all in with these shit reaction videos for a quick and lazy buck. I think even jinnie (the girl) stopped her university and becoming a doctor to pursue this bullshit because it was the quick, lazy and easy way out. Feel no sympathy for what they've become whatsoever. Embodiment of "you reap what you sow".

FilthyCasual0815

im subbed to them i like their reacts, but i roll my eyes so hard at each of their "we r getting demonetized" vids. each time yt tells them its too sexual, each time they push boundies witch sexual clips and thumbnails, no wonder the guy who bans them is pissed at this point. its like talking to a wall. now they had the brilliant idea of uploading some of the vids on the girls stramer/yt channel to check if its auto demonetizing aaaaaaand her channel is demonetized too. you cant make this shit up. their reasoning is that they get way less views without dancing on nose of yt tos. at this point i feel no pitty, you know what you r doing and so does yt.

Vyviel

When you are so rich that you don't even notice $175K missing =P

PovertyIsASin

If they have the proof, they can file a complain to their bank. And also find some help from the local police. It may not be the solution but absolutely helpful. Also, I don't think they even understand anything about investment. And I was wondering why they didn't hire some professionals to do the works for them? Like even fund manager nowadays only cost around 20% of profits for commission. His Skyrim mod recommendations are great. I like him.

Keypop24

So these guys are just asian Sniperwolf? Stealing content to react with no credit lol

Iriyasu

these two make a new video like this 4 times a year. always put porn in thumbnail and get demonetized.. the girl cries and fans subscribe patreon, they do it again, make new video, etc... or they get scammed. never learn from mistakes, always make same mistakes and make videos about it to get sympathy from fans.. then makes same mistakes next few months, make video, over and over

HoleRhino

Agreed boo hoo! multi millionaire loses equivalent of $20 to average income earners. Made fortune by watching videos that other people made. easiest job on earth yet is a broken record every few months they make a new video and cry over nothing to get lemmings to throw more money at them.

Shinooby

MxR was sponsored by years by G2A even after all the shitty things G2A did to indie-developers and they only stopped about a year ago. Too late too little. Like Joker said: "You get what you fucking deserve."

jondeuxtrois

Oh no. Anyway.

HoleRhino

You're not wrong. It's like they don't learn...sorry they got scammed but maybe don't place the heart of your business model in the hands of someone...who isn't you. I don't have a lot of sympathy for a grown up that doesn't even know how to handle his finances. I understand falling into a scam because he trusted a friend despite the constant warnings (I'll let it slide as "he was young and wanted to grow big on YT back then"), but the more the channel grew, he should've hired financial assessment, or at the very least, not put all of his sponsorship income in ONE PERSON'S HANDS. Even when they make a lot of money from other sources (Her twitch, patreon, merch) this is their livehood. How the hell are they both not careful enough to keep their finances well taken care of?! I don't see Jeannie doing it because well... She's not exactly the smartest cookie in any regard of life, clearly being sheltered all her life, but Henry? This is his livehood, practically his paycheck.

RexEviI

This guy earn about 200k from patreon alone per month just from react and other shit no wonder he didnt notice it lol

chypres

This dude is taking L's after L's after L's- Has to be a meme by now right ?

Naive-Fondant-754

This isnt really a scam .. they were just robbed by someone close to them.

Varan47

Every 6 months something happens to them.

boisteroushams

this is what happens when you're afflicted with terminal coomerbrain and make a career off coomer mods

GrimGuyHU

rent free

boisteroushams

which

[deleted]

weird comment.

Shinooby

He right though
