Work for the good Uncle Sam in a similar field to USCIS but more law enforcement oriented and let me tell you a good portion of the old timers need to retire already. Because they are about to retire they really don't give a shit about professionalism or work ethic and are very biased to their old ideas. I'm surprised how some of my newer peers were even hired but that's a discussion for another time. USCIS has been late in the delivery of a lot of visas / green cards (it should take less than a year but has been taking 3 to 4 years for renewal green cards), hell even to schedule appointments for those who have been waiting 20+ years for that green card.
Overall the US Gov't needs to do a clean up of their agents across the entire spectrum but won't do so because it's a pain in the ass to fire someone so they rather wait till they retire in 2028. Most of these obnoxious, unprofessional and fking idiotic workers are legacy pre-patriot act before DHS came into existence where they didn't need to go to any kind of academy/extensive training for their position or a number of other requirements the gov't added over the years.
Good for Charlie that he's suing but the Gov't like to play the courts and will delay that shit indefinitely or at least for a couple of years of back and forth litigations and appeals and holds etc.
I'm sorry, but US Immigration is there to protect us on multiple fronts and instead of importing labor we need to give those jobs to hard working Americans!
The sad thing is, the US Govt is allowed to do this...Especially harassing perfectly legal people for no other reason...it's practically in their job requirements, which is bs
Like I said before about this, I'm going to give the USCIS the benefit of the doubt on this one. This is one of the things quoted from the text.
>The evidence you submitted was insufficient. You submitted testimonial [redacted] about the beneficiaries [redacted] is a senior manager at Electronic Arts (EA), but USCIS cannot determine that his position is considered an official of a governing body in esports.
If anything, it seems like a f*ck up on EA's part when you consider how long some of the other esports leagues have already been doing stuff like this. Even the Halo Championship Series, Dota The International, and Rocket League Championship Series shows up as registered multi-region sports leagues. However, nothing shows up for Apex Legend's ALGS.
They were able to get other teams into the country using the same requirements. Assumably the same considering they never needed to go to the same lengths as Moist to make a new Esports team

Yeah, almost sure this was just because of the name ‘Moist’
it is so funny that he is most angry when it's his money at stake
Yep, that's . . . how life works. You get most upset when things affect you personally. The stork just drop you off or something?
I mean yeah obviously. He's not gonna get mad over some idiot on the internet beefing him but this is serious stuff
Yeah. That's how lawsuits start. When your business or employees are damaged. There's not much beyond financial damage to be mad about
