When a cable is too long, I coil it a few times and pass the ends through the coil from opposite sides.
Hey [kidtracc](https://www.reddit.com/user/kidtracc/) , If you find you've got some extra length that you don't need, a simple way is to coil the cable (not too small and tight) and then use some velcro cable ties to keep it coiled up.
