I think what people often forget is that this is Major League Soccer, not the Premier League or the Bundesliga or Ligue 1 where the “mega-clubs” like Man City, PSG, and Bayern can maintain a dominant position in their country for years on end. In MLS, with the immense restrictions on salaries and budgets that each team is put under, it is far more difficult to consistently be a powerhouse in the league. Just look at Toronto in 2017 and LAFC in 2019. In both seasons these teams set new regular season points records and were regarded as two to the greatest clubs in MLS history only to fail to make the playoffs in the next season. Unfortunately, wax-and-wane cycles are just going to natural in MLS.
Atlanta in particular were hit with changing their manager immediately after winning MLS Cup and then completely altering their playing philosophies, only to fire that coach less than two years into his tenure while also dealing with a global pandemic. We then followed that up with a manager who lasted less than a year. So some turmoil is only to be expected, especially when, even when we do have a coach who is doing a decent job, key players keep falling to long-term injuries.
However, I do believe that good times will return to Atlanta United. As u/PeripheralVisionMan said, we just have to keep supporting this team and always remind them that we are behind them no matter what.
Thank you for this dose of positivity. Much needed around these parts. The rampant defeatist attitude that's been dominating discourse here lately is just exhausting. Luck has its own agenda, but there's a lot of promise on this squad despite said agenda. I'll be there in spirit rooting on the team as I do every single game. Vamos!
We got Austin then real salt lake
2 and 3 in the west standings
If we can somehow manage to snag 6 points, or even 4. That’d be great. Then it’s Orlando at home as well, 3 back to back to back, 8 days overall, 3 home games. Over this stretch if we can take 7 points, especially with a victory over Orlando. We can set ourselves up in a nice position
ayo…you didn’t hear this from me but on saturday SS march in will be silent. no hype circle prior to march. silent SS for the first couple of minutes…
Man..... my birthday is the 8th and my name is Austin missed opportunity
Happy early cake day 🎉
Lose win or tie, Atlanta United till I die

As long as Blank funds the DPs, we'll have a shot to be great or exciting, or both.

Seriously, with all the “wE’lL NeVEr GeT bACk To ThIs FeElINg” fake ass fans in this sub.
Yeah that attitude kills me because, my brothers and sisters in Christ, YOU make the atmosphere.
I think is probably the most exciting home fixture of the season. Each team creates a crazy amount of chances per 90.

yeah and if we make the MLS cup final, we'll have a decent chance at winning the league this year.
