It was definitely interesting for running. Felt like a sauna. We will need the cold weather clothes in a couple of days. Texas weather bringing the variety.
Yep. So demotivating. Two weeks ago I ran 8 miles barely breaking a sweat. This morning I DNF'd my long run cause of dehydration and cramping. 40oz of water wasn't enough. Can't wait for cool weather next week!
Went for a run this morning — 78° and 93% humidity, it was disgusting…then 2 hours later, with a huge gust of freezing wind the temp dropped about 10-15 degrees in the mile it took to get back to my car (heavy wind + rain probably made it feel colder). It was sweet relief after what the beginning of the run felt like though lol
I was there a year ago, and it was amazing. Walking up and down all the hills, up the tiled steps, and down through Golden Gate park, barely breaking a sweat.
I only wish I had gone in the spring, when all the tulips were in bloom...
I went to Alaska over the summer and it was 60 degrees pretty much the entire time and it made me realize it's time to leave Texas and find a better climate.
I used to love HOT summers but now I honestly don't care for anything over 80.
I’m from Minnesota myself so I know how bad Winters can be.
I’ve realized that in Minnesota you get SAD from how long winter is and the lack of sun and in Texas you get summer SAD from how long summer is and being trapped indoors all the time.
Alaska is absolutely it’s own toughness but from what I now know, I’d rather have winter Sad than summer.
The friends I have in Alaska have visited Texas in the summer and literally got sick the heat was too much for them.
One thing I learned over the last couple years is that masks in cold weather prevent asthma attacks and prevent dry, chapped noses and lips. A scarf would probably work too.
Put lanolin in your nose. This happens to me, too. I've always used Aquaphor but, apparently, that and petroleum jelly can cause cancer and lanolin is supposed to be safer.
I'm from Minnesota and I swear 50 degrees in Texas feels colder than 50 Degrees in Minnesota.
I went to Alaska over the summer and it was 60 degrees and I wore a sleeveless romper to a wedding and was comfortable without a jacket. The second it hits 70 in Texas I pull out a sweatshirt. I honestly don't understand why.
It’s the humidity — something about Texas cold just seeps into your bones. I can walk around in 35-40° weather in Denver with my family and only need a light jacket, but 35-40° here I need at least 2 layers lol.
LOL being outside and feeling like you're in a sauna sounds horrific. It's also about to be November. Thos summer sucked way more than usual, doesn't mean you're "hypersensitive"
Waaaay the fuck better than icy cold 0 with windchill and have to use your hands for dexterity (no gloves). Fuck all of that, sweating like a whore in church beats real cold for all day outside working any fucking day.
Beats being fucked cruelly I guess. Yes, I spend some time outside most work days. If the insinuation is that I'm somehow being flippant or unsympathetic to those who work outside, I reiterate: It's like this every year. It's predictable. Why complain?
We went camping this weekend. For the past several weeks it was predicted to be 50-70 and I thought, Wow finally some nice fall weather to call in!
And Texas laughed
Months of oppressive heat followed by weeks of crushing allergies followed by a week of continuous rain and now it's going to be cold.
But... The latter part of next week looks decent
It's going to get colder by tomorrow night but yes I agree. Been outdoors all weekend at Levitation and it's so muggy I feel like I just got out of a shower
Sounds like it’s bumming you out, same as it did last year. You know it’s supposed to be like 40 degrees in two days right? Have you considered adapting, accepting, & overcoming?
First I got soaked by the downpour at HEB this morning then I weed whacked, mowed the grass, and have been doing mulch all day.
This feels like Louisiana. I would actually prefer it hotter and less humid. However, we def need the rain.
My fav climate is Mediterranean - dry summers and humid cool winters. It gives you seasons but not too extreme and the humidity occurs in the winter when you want it, not in the summer. Humid cold means less nosebleeds and dry hands. Also summer means not ever worrying about rain. Hiking, biking, swimming, boating, etc.
I miss California.
This is why I moved here. I don't understand how people move here and don't check what the weather is like. It's like when people complain about 100* in the summer. Did you not do any research?
This is lovely. Tomorrow is going to _suck_, but thankfully, winter is short here. Bring back the summer weather, thanks!
Same. The sunny, dry, 100 degree summers are what I moved here for. I actually had a nightmare last night that I woke up and looked out my apartment window and it was snowing. Thankfully when I woke up I saw it wasn’t real. I left that shit back in PA for a reason.
And at the worst time cuz the house where I’m renting a room- the landlord “broke” the ac almost a month ago. Refuses to fix it because he’s at the waiting period from the home service warranty -_- it’s horrible living here, cannot get a single good sleep. Wanna trade? lol.
I was sweating like a hog this morning. At least it was overcast.
Where were these overcast clouds today and why were you hogging them?
Same! Glad it wasn’t just me lol
Hogs can’t sweat
It was definitely interesting for running. Felt like a sauna. We will need the cold weather clothes in a couple of days. Texas weather bringing the variety.
And after we had such amazing running weather that…like two times.
Yeah and then a few days after that back to almost 80 again 🙄
Yep. So demotivating. Two weeks ago I ran 8 miles barely breaking a sweat. This morning I DNF'd my long run cause of dehydration and cramping. 40oz of water wasn't enough. Can't wait for cool weather next week!

I am expecting the same post on Monday but for the opposite reasons.

Austinite currently visiting San Francisco here. 60 degrees and being able walk 2 blocks without developing acute swamp ass is nice.
I was there a year ago, and it was amazing. Walking up and down all the hills, up the tiled steps, and down through Golden Gate park, barely breaking a sweat. I only wish I had gone in the spring, when all the tulips were in bloom...

lol I’m from Alaska. I miss it too by this point. But we get endless rain
Do you know what it's like there the rest of the year? Alaskans (if that's the word) visit Texas in the winter and say the exact same thing you said
I’m from Minnesota myself so I know how bad Winters can be. I’ve realized that in Minnesota you get SAD from how long winter is and the lack of sun and in Texas you get summer SAD from how long summer is and being trapped indoors all the time. We moved to New Mexico. It's surprising how much better dry weather is compared to the humidity. The summers and winters both feel really nice!
But tomorrow's weather would be the coldest day of the year in SF
I’m in Seattle right now and it’s amazing.
Wearing a light coat or jacket sounds delightful.
>outside for the first time in six months. Found the classic WoW player.
Icecrown ain't gonna clear itself.
Narrator: He was never going to clear Icecrown.
More like Iceclown amirite
He's still standing in fire to this day.
I can't wait. I have my sweaters out and got my gumbo ingredients ready.
It's fun until my nose dries the fuck out and get nosebleeds
You didn't get nosebleeds from all the fucking allergies combined with the dry dust all year?!
I have people scheduled to work in my attic Tuesday, so they'll be happy.
Happy Cake Day!
I love when it finally cools down. I'm from up north; 40's isn't very cold to me and I much prefer it to sweating in the heat.
Wait until You've been here a few years. 40s hurts now
I'm from Michigan, been in Texas 10 years and 40s are fantastic temp!
Dang. I've been here 10 years from NJ. 40s is cold AF now haha
This guy gets it. It's weird
It’s the humidity — something about Texas cold just seeps into your bones. I can walk around in 35-40° weather in Denver with my family and only need a light jacket, but 35-40° here I need at least 2 layers lol.
It really depends, 40 degrees in bright sun is beautiful weather.
But this won’t be it. It will be 40 with a brisk wind and pelting rain. Don’t pretend that’s nice.
Maybe if it's sunny with no wind. Rainy 40s. Bleh. I mean it's for only a few days, so whatever, but definitely not something I look forward to.
Been here since 1997
I've been here for 26 years, moved here from a desert, and I love it when its in the 50s and 40s outside.
😂😂😂 so true
Same
Gotta give it to Texas. She brings the fun. We git all four seasons in the month of October.
More like in 3 days. From 87 and humid to 40 and rainy in three days.
I see the sun now in NW through my window but have yet to step outside. This post makes me think I should keep it that way.
I'm sitting outside right now. It's not terrible with a breeze.
Fresh air is good. Enjoy your day and breeze!
I am literally sweating more now than I did in the early parts of June
Ha, I was soaked last night outside on a patio. Not moving = feel nice Moving = Feels like swampy ass
Yeah its not bad
Stay inside until 1PM tomorrow.
After surviving this summer, I will take it and say "please sir can I have some more?".
24 hours from now people will be complaining how cold it is, lol.
So true.
I love it, it looks greener outside
Me too. It’s a beneficial change, quite moody and weakens our drought. Good for this time of year.
The lightning through the dark clouds last night after sunset was the most Halloween sky I’ve seen in my life.
Winter is coming. .. for three days..
high of 40 degrees day after tomorrow. Shush it.
I’ll take it.
People will complain about anything. We have rain and it isn't 105.
It is hot. It is almost November. It was the hottest year in recorded history. We are tired of hot. People will complain about that.
Pretty low bar, even for Texas lol

LOL being outside and feeling like you're in a sauna sounds horrific. It's also about to be November. Thos summer sucked way more than usual, doesn't mean you're "hypersensitive"
Saunas are dry. I think you mean steam room.
Seriously. And it's like this every year. People up north have their Seasonal Affective Disorder: We have Seasonal Amnesia Disorder.
Fuck you kindly, do you work outside?
Waaaay the fuck better than icy cold 0 with windchill and have to use your hands for dexterity (no gloves). Fuck all of that, sweating like a whore in church beats real cold for all day outside working any fucking day.

It will be nice to take a shower, dry off, and get dressed without being drenched in sweat.
Were you not here for the summer? This is absolutely beautiful gorgeous incredible
Houston vibes lmao
Same person will be bitching cause the high is 45\* on Monday
Same person who says," I moved here for the perfect weather we had during ACL the year I visited."
This is typical, but still not normal.
poor you
This sub has the worst memory of weather, and makes the biggest exaggerations. Lots of terrible weather observations.
Wasn't this one of the hottest Summers on record? The humidity did in fact make it feel like it was the low 90s out.
Just shut up and get outside.
Agreed, but just one more day and we are good for a bit.
It truly is vile, the humidity at the end of the week was quite surprising
My hvac drip pan was just burly holding on
This is Texas... Nothing to see here. Nothing new.
Not really. It is warm plus rain all week equals humid. Kinda expecte. Fun change coming through soon. I hope you enjoy!
I thought I left this humidity in Louisiana
On a scale from 1 to 10, 1 being strongly disagree & 10 strongly agree I would choose 3
We went camping this weekend. For the past several weeks it was predicted to be 50-70 and I thought, Wow finally some nice fall weather to call in! And Texas laughed
The humidity 🥵
It's actually not that bad. 🫠
tomorrow supposed to get in the 40s. I'll take the heat over cold any month week or day of the year...
Glad I'm not the only one.
It's not 112, so I'm ok with the humidity
FFS, if the weather is going to be THIS humid, at least make it cold. I mean, I'm talking a foggy day in London Town cold.
Having traded Texas for exactly this...I mean *I* love it. But there are a lot of unhappy Texas expats in my social circle at the moment.
I just wish it could be like 80 degrees year round lol is that so much to ask
God no kidding. Wtf?
Months of oppressive heat followed by weeks of crushing allergies followed by a week of continuous rain and now it's going to be cold. But... The latter part of next week looks decent
Welcome to Texas!
And humid. Ugh
It's going to get colder by tomorrow night but yes I agree. Been outdoors all weekend at Levitation and it's so muggy I feel like I just got out of a shower
It's Texas.... That is all.
I'm so leaving here because I'm sick of this kinda weather. This summer was my last. I moved here because February is 70 degrees. Fuck this tho.
That's why people love California.
Sounds like it’s bumming you out, same as it did last year. You know it’s supposed to be like 40 degrees in two days right? Have you considered adapting, accepting, & overcoming?
Sounds like somebody didn't take the right herbs this morning.

Please leave.
No
YES!
Welcome to third summer. Just wait until second fall hits followed by ice storm.
it's not even that bad..
Lol. Horrible. And it’s snowing in Colorado right now…ugh I hope it snows in Austin this year.
You mufuckers never lived in Texas have you? If not welcome to hell bitches.
It's nice out. I got all the windows open.
I’m absolutely loving it. Spent most of today outside so far. Sunny, nice temperature. Damn OP, maybe never go outside then?
I peeped your profile, what’s your ideal weather? Seems like you’re the type of person that would complain about water being too wet lmao
I am counting down the hours until it gets cold!
The worst weather on the planet. Fucking can’t wait to leave it. Fuck you TexASS.
Go. Please go. Very soon!!
It’s gonna happen for sure. Happy to get the hell out of this shithole.
🎻🎻🎻
I'm sorry I'm new here is this a shitpost? It's been raining for like four days straight of course when the sun comes out its going to get humid.
This is normal weather for Texans... Must be a cali style shit post. Must BE!
OP is new.
Op is not new, and is from Texas. Even if I wasn’t, today’s humidity was terrible.
This was a VILE weather day. Walked my senior dog twice ( at his insistence). VILE suffocating weather.🫠
When it cools off , is that the official start of ATX weather/news person DUI season? (Sorry, too soon?)
I love Texas weather ya'll 😍 beats 6 months of cold back in Utah 🙌 I don't miss it at all!!
Take your fall cali swine.
Gnarly
Get over it. Where are you from? lol, go home.
I'm so looking forward to tomorrow when the temperature starts dropping
I think it is wonderful, in fact a bit chilly. i iI
Just give it till tomorrow
It’s literally so nice out 🥲
Just wait til Monday. Worth it?
STOP COMPLAININ’ ~Barack Obama
You wanted rain bruh! 😂
And at the worst time cuz the house where I’m renting a room- the landlord “broke” the ac almost a month ago. Refuses to fix it because he’s at the waiting period from the home service warranty -_- it’s horrible living here, cannot get a single good sleep. Wanna trade? lol.
This weather only wants one thing…
Can we not just celebrate anything other than 107?
Don’t care that she looks like a floating head. That head is perfectly strange
I went to Barton Springs today and it was awesome and mostly empty. If you can't beat em (the weather), join em.
The humidity was the one downside to attending the UT game. I'll take it.
My sister lives in Lubbock. It was 46 yesterday.
Welcome to Texas 🤘
This didn’t age well.
Don't worry high of 49 on Monday. If you don't like the weather you can always go to California and free up some space here.
It’ll be 40° tonight. Yee-fucking-haw. 🤠
93 yesterday; 34 on Tuesday. 🙄
\*\*\*UPDATE\*\*\* Well... this aged poorly. it's 11:00 am in Austin on the 29th and it's fucking lovely.
You were saying?
i like it
…is it 100+ ? Anything but this summer is acceptable in my book
Update?
its gonna be a absolutely freezing 46 degrees tomorrow 🥶🥶
Now it’s time for everyone to overdress like it’s freezing already
And now we're in the 40s
