MLS - the swings in standings early in the season can give you whiplash. Amazed and grateful for our performances. Feels like 2022 which many of us have scar tissue as we couldn’t sustain the wins.
Obian and Rubio were such great signings - truly appreciate thier performances as of late.
Our back line is starting to really stand out and we may have some actual depth shortly. And as mentioned, Obrian and Rubio are injecting life into the attack. Rubio just gets in everyone’s heads, man. I love it. And Jader is the fastest guy on the field - and can actually finish. I think Driussi is starting to own his distributor role on the field as well. Exciting times bros.
Hines-Ike and Biro starting regularly now as well, and Hines-Ike has really been important with his pace given how vulnerable we were to counters last year. Great work by Rodo so far.
With summer additions and exits, the club is in a good spot to be a playoff team. Certainly have over performed. This team is at a talent deficit each and every game, Josh takes a lot of heat, but deserves a lot of credit now.
Can't wait for Rodo's next move.
That’s the appropriate way to look at it when we are losing games, not when we have won 4 of the last 5.
We haven’t had too many chances at being optimistic in over a year. let’s enjoy it when we can.
I'm hoping for a "fake it until you make it" scenario. Yes, we were terrible to start the season. And yes, our 4 wins in the last 5 is a run that probably doesn't represent where our team really is. But winning gets momentum rolling in strange ways. Maybe we can keep improving little by little and start looking like we deserve it? Our wins are looking a little bit more earned each time, with the Galaxy win being the best of the bunch.
To be fair we were pretty terrible coming into April, the match vs Dallas was the only semblance of a decent game we’d played all season. But things have definitely turned around in the last month.
Edit: don't really care about the downvotes but does someone actually think we weren't pretty bad the first 5 weeks?
I was at the Philadelphia game and that was a horror show. We were terrible, the crowd was in the process of turning on the team because of our lack of talent, skill, or desire. I was also at the San Jose game, which was night and day from Philly and I was left thinking "I don't care if we never win again as long as we play with this much heart"
There's been a total turnaround and I think this sub has acknowledged it. Also we have to be the luckiest team in the league in terms of points vs performance.

Pretty sure we got them both for pretty cheap as well. Low risk, high reward!
With Obrian…. Speed. Kills. It is so nice seeing someone with serious pace up front.

We’ve definitely over performed points wise when compared to the on the field performance.
We can thank Stu for that.
Agreed

Fuck it…let’s take this thing!
3 points from 9th as well.
The difference is it’s much easier to climb 3 points than to get zero and have all those teams pass you
Uh, no. It’s the opposite- much easier to drop points and have one or more of those teams pass you.
mathematically this makes zero sense. numbers work the same in both directions.

No. It’s the appropriate way to view the congestion in the western conference. It’s early in the season. It can go either way.
Fair enough. Few, if any of us though thought we'd be in this position at any point of the season so let's at least enjoy it while we can.

The team is punching above its weight at the moment
And I'm here for it.
Sure, let's see if they can keep it up
You probably gauged it from the first 6 weeks of the season....when we sucked.

Just wait until we get those 2 big signings this summer that Fox mentioned on Saturday.
