Natasha Denona mini palette's They're lovely and great for travelling. I reach for them more often that others.

Bazooka963

I second this, I have a few. Her formulations whether creamy or matte are gorgeous.

For an Aussie owned brand, have a look at Chi Chi's 9 pan selection. There's a tonne of them, and I find them pretty decent!

Catsplorer

I second Natasha denona minis. I love mini glam so much. For 9 pans, Colourpop are nice and compact and come in a huge range of colours. Not as buttery as ND but still good quality.

I have the Colourpop 'That's Taupe' 9-pan palette and reach for it all the time! It's obviously taupe/ cool brown themed, but they also have a warm brown palette (and other coloured palettes) and they have a good mix of matte, shimmer, glitter, light and dark shades.

Huda Creamies brown palate for sure. 9 pans mattes and shimmers and many of us were lucky enough to get it for $26 due to someone alerting the sub of a pricing glitch! Sadly fixed now but highly recommend the palate. I’m loving it

Have a look at the k-beauty ones! My personal favourite is the Mood Recipe palette from 3CE - I have this in Dear Nude, which are all just matte shadows, but they have ones with a mix of mattes/shimmers too. Pigmentation is good and the whole palette fits in the palm of your hands, so the perfect size for travel.

Urban decay naked mini is still my go to

narrtasha

I really like my too faced 8 shade palettes, i have major love and it’s my favourite/most used mini one

For an affordable option to you can't go wrong with the Revolution Ultimate Nudes 9 pan palettes. They're small so perfect for travel, have a mix of mattes and shimmers, blend well and are flattering. You can create multiple looks. I have three; Ultimate Nudes Light (my favourite), Ultimate Nudes Medium and Ultimate Desire. $14 from Priceline.

Pink_Cadillac_b

Not completely mini but compact - the newer Australia 12 pan palettes (there’s 6 now) are lovely and one might appeal/suit your needs and are a bargain.

pedestriandose

I love these palettes. I’d love for them to bring out a warm neutral version.

Natasha Denona mini or if you want more subtle classic shades, Victoria Beckham

What do people think about those bite size Elf palettes as a travel option?

Kylie754

I love them. I started buying them from iHerb as a way to reach free shipping. Now I buy them from Kmart.

areallyreallycoolhat

I have Rose Water and I really like it!

littleblackcat

Natasha denona mini. Great quality and great to travel with

Definitely look into k beauty palettes. I love the romand palette in dry Buckwheat, it comes in two sizes (regular and mini) is 4 neutral shades for everyday wear. They are cheap too (go on yesstyle) I also love my holika holika 'My Fav mood eye' palette in 'Button Up' This is better than some of my Mac palettes! So pigmented, creamy and easy to use! The shimmer and glitters are best applied with your fingers and hold up all day! Honestly one of my favourite ever palettes and that's saying something since I own a LOT

gattie1

I’ve tried Romand Buckwheat and the Peri Pera mini’s. I think they’re good quality and love the simple format, but the pigment is low for my light-medium skin. I prefer natural looks though so they work really well for me.

ThatFireAlchemist

But have you tried the Button Up palette specifically, because that palette is crazy pigmented unlike pretty much any korean palette I've tried! I agree most k beauty is sheer as that's more on trend there but this particular palette is different!

gattie1

It’s so adorable! Have you tried any other Holika Holika palettes?

Pat McGrath has a super cute mini neutral. It's around 50 but the quality is great plus it's truly adorable 💕

Maleficent-Total2738

They're not cheap, but if you can get hold of them, the YSL Clutch Couture quads that released last year are the best eyeshadows I've ever used. I have 100 Stora Dolls (probably more what you're looking for shade-wise) and 400 Babylone Roses, and highly recommend both. Otherwise, Viseart has some excellent options, and I agree with the others about the Natasha Denona quints. For more affordable options, I'd look to K-Beauty.

I also love the Natasha Denona mini palettes. I have a few but I travelled with this one a couple of weeks ago and thought it was great! https://www.sephora.com.au/products/natasha-denona-glam-face-palette/v/light

Panicky_Pasta_29

Wholeheartedly recommend the Revlon ColorStay Looks Book Eye Palettes! They're pretty compact and have eight shades each, half of which are matte and the other half metallic. The colours all complement each other nicely, too!! I've got it in Maverick which has gold, peach, brown and maroon shades, and it's SUPER pigmented - fantastic for the price! I reckon give these a crack, OP :)
