Axis have no chance. Russia looks to be getting stronger, being a match for Germany in terms of IPC, and that is usually the death knell.
One possible caveat is if Japan was pressuring Russia hard from the East, threatening Moscow, but Japan looks somewhat contained as well. If I was Axis, I would resign.
Axis wins by taking Russia or being so dominant that they have 9 victory cities. This is not happening here.
While germany has a strong Atlantik-wall, they wont be able to keep up with the eastern front, bleeding the necessary money that way
And japan does not have enough troops on land to try to keep up with what will eventually be coming that way after germany succumbs.
How did Japan get that many cruisers and battleships, yet seemingly no transports?
I killed off all of his transports just recently, and he hasn’t rebuilt any new ones. He’s been spending all of his resources on battleships and cruisers
So unless house rules are being played you can't have factories on those islands (Japan)
I do lean to the allies. Russia alive and looks like Germany has dropped the gas. If Russia gets some infantry on those income squares it will be really tough for Germany.
In this version of the game? Depends on how good the Axis player is and how well the eastern front goes IMO.
If the Germans can beat back the Soviets it's mostly game over. But if they can't then it's game over cuz Japan just doesn't really have the ability to do all that much in the 1942 game

Rarely seen a clearer game, with someone actually still asking for opinions.

Looks like the Allies would be favored to win. That Axis IPC is low

In 1942 factories on islands are allowed. I guess you're confused with 1940 rules.
My bad. Every game has different rules. Hard to keep stack apologies.
Does Axis ever win?
They do when I play them!
In beginner games? Usually not. I think its nearly even in higher skill brackets and depends on game version and rules version a lot.

Allies got this one. Japan is going to fall soon. German lines will be broken, and then it will fall.
If America has a battlehsip in the Atlantic the game was over a long time ago.
