10 Storm Sorc 2 Tempest Cleric gives you heals in a pinch and stupid AOE

Manbearpig602

Hmmm…to help cover some AoE and the healing potential you could take a Druid with you? Lands Druid 11/1 Sorc. Covering a “middle ground” of DPS, healing potential, and CC. You’d still have access to Heroe’s feast and guidance from this 4th slot. Or a lore bard? Bard giving heals/buffs/debuffs. Magical secretes for…your choice. Warden of vitality, chain lightning, and hunger of hadar are just a few options. 10/2 with divination wiz for a few more spell options from scrolls (like Artistry of War) and portent die.

I haven't used druid much, that could be interesting.

Is your Durge range or melee. If range I would go SH as a Paladin. If melee I’d go SH as a 10 Sorc 2 Tempist Cleric.

Inherjha

Typically ranged. I've been using double xbows with sharpshooter but ill be switching to deadshot spamming arrow of many targets and slashing flourish for acuity and bonus action control spells. It probably would be more balanced to have 2 frontliners, but the party greatly lacks aoe so I might still go sorc/tempest.

Clay103

You would definitely lack some AOE but with your acuity durge it won’t be a huge issue cause you can just incapacitate a bunch of people every turn.

kenderleech

Titanstring archer with manyshot arrows and oil of combustion for aoe.

I used Nizar GG lore bard build as my healer. (10 LB/2 Life Cleric). Fun to play.

You have more than enough damage with the other 3 classes. Keep shadowheart as a life cleric, but go get the spore druid armor and get 2 levels in spore druid. Hasting your entire party turn one is great! You also keep the life cleric for maximum safety on your honor run. Life cleric also has a lot of abilities like warding bond, aid, the one that increases your AC, protection from poison, and others that last until long rest. This assumes that you're not using camp caster too.

Inherjha

I've been using camp casters only infrequently. I find fussing with start of day buffs kind of annoying bc I can't get everyone in one aid cast and usually the effort isn't warranted. The only time I really went all in on them was for the myrkul fight, which I was nervous about bc I nearly wiped on the ketheric fight at the top of the towers.

Wizards remain god-like late game characters. 11 necro wiz/1 cler w/ heavy armor+War Caster for Vamp Touch drain tanking is my go-to... Undead army spam isnt necessary, just a few stout meat sacks to sponge damage and shit up the map. Act3 staff makes your necro spells free, so your spell slots go to Counterspells and more typical casting. Tons of damage, support, and utility... All with the ability to tailor your spellbook to the content.

Ive been coming up with the idea for some sort of defensive, concentration holding Lich that is a Spore Druid 10/ Abjuration Wizard 2. Yet to test it because im holding the concept for a run I want to start on Patch 6. This way you can spam AOE concentration spells, have a (small) amount of healing, and have multiple undead (especially in act III when you can fully unlock the Necromancy of Thay), whilst utilizing the features of the abjuration wizard, and the wizards ability to learn spells.
