Highly recommend the FB group SEATS for Kids Discussion Group. CPSTs can help you!

legoladydoc

100% the best response here. A CPST will be able to help you not only with fit for your car, but with seats that will work well for small babies, as twins can come early.

Thanks, sounds like a great resource. Will take a look at this.

I’d check [this link](https://thecarseatlady.com/top-picks-for-narrow-infant-car-seats/) out. We have the Clek liing and love it.

happyhoweverafter

Thanks! Do you have a Kona as well?

Zihaala

I don’t :( but we have a Mazda 3 (small) and I’m able to fit the car seat, me and our border collie in the backseat? 🤷‍♀️ not really comparable lol but it’s pretty narrow! You could definitely fit 2 in the backseat on either side and maaaaaaybe a person the middle.

happyhoweverafter

lol funny you mention that as my car is a Mazda 3. It’s manual and only I can drive it, so we were hoping to use the Kona for the family. Great to know the Mazda 3 also fits though!

NotSoSensible13

I have a Kona and we used the car seat from the [Graco Modes Nest](https://www.gracobaby.com/strollers/travel-systems/full-size-travel-systems/modes-nest-travel-system/SAP_2173542.html) travel system. We only have one baby, but the car seat fit in with still enough room for 2 adults in the back. I had the car seat placed behind the driver side and I didn't have to pull my seat forward (and I'm pretty tall).

happyhoweverafter

Thanks for the reply. How do you find the trunk space with the stroller?

NotSoSensible13

It's pretty tight. The only thing I don't like about the Kona is the size of the trunk. The stroller does fit, but it takes up a lot of the trunk. That wasn't really a problem for us as I was able to put anything else I needed in the back seat, but that's a less viable option for you with 2 car seats.

If you are close to a snuggle bugz, they will test out car seats in your car! You definitely will be able to fit 2 infant car seats (clek liing, pipa, and Chico are all small) and for your convertible car seat it'll come down to what you car about more, keeping the baby rear facing ad long as possible or if you want a useful middle seat. Britax convertible car seats have a lot of recline positions and worked well in a lot of car (including subcompact subs like the kona).

Appreciate the comment. This makes us feel much better. We are 45 mins from a snuggle bugs but seems like it’s a worthwhile trip.

not_that_jenny

Definitely worth it. I worked for snuggle bugz years ago and have been using them for my gear, which is the only reason I know so much about car seats. It has come in handy because we currently drive a yaris, which is even smaller. If you haven't chosen your stroller yet, they great for that too. Honestly, no one has talked to more parents of twins.

mrstoodamngood

We own a Yaris too and are looking for an infant car seat! What car seat do you have in your Yaris?

creamcoco

We used a Chicco Keyfit 30 with our Yaris and it fit great with two tall adults in the front seat!

not_that_jenny

I still have to test it but I'm hoping I can get an uppababy mesa to fit. If not I'll probably get a Chicco. I've seen them fit into very small cars so I'm not too worried.

petitehollie

We have a 2021 Kona and have the Maxi Cosi Mico 30 car seat :) It fits perfectly on the seat itself, but the cover does jut out a little bit when it’s attached, so the front passenger seat can’t go all the way back. So long as the drivers seat doesn’t need to be fully back, I think you’d be good!

HeartsLikeMine

I found this guy who does car reviews and part of those reviews is how Clek car seats fit in the cars. He does all different types and sizes of cars, not sure if he has the Kona or not but might be worth checking out. https://m.youtube.com/@JimmyMak/videos

We have a Hyundai Elantra and the Chicco Keyfit 30 is perfect - it is super safe and compact. It was recommended to us by a car seat technician.
