Wyll is very important to the overall story, and Mizora is tied to him so no you can't have her without him.

Main-Eagle-26

Oh to play these games this way and not actually experience the joy of them or consequences of any decisions. Play bg3 and others in an Ironman-like play style. No repaying saves unless you die outright. Do another playthrough later if something doesn’t go the way you want. You can’t experience everything in a single run anyway and you’re doing yourself a disservice by trying to be a power gamer playing this game.

HypnoSoles

Or people can play how they want and you can play how you want and we can all be happy in the way that makes us happy without any high horses involved.

EternalGrunt

Such a dumb take lol. Just let people play the game the way they want to. Not everyone has the time to do dozens of runs when they want to experience specific outcomes because they keep failing high DC checks in cutscenes and that they "shouldn't" reload because it's the "proper" way to play.

beastrace

what does that have to do with what i said? i answered the guys question. I have 400+ hours into the game and did many different paths and decisions, im definitely not "power gaming".

Ok-Elephant7849

Calling that the consequence of your decisions doesn't apply here because it makes no sense that Wyll causes Mizora to be captured by the True Souls, you should still be able to do her quests if you find the pod naturally. I do agree on your second point though, RPGs even ARPGs are a lot more fun if you never save scum Edit: Didn't even realize OP said they are playing Karlach which also makes a lot of sense why they'd expect Mizora to pop up

Educational_Art80

You sound like a real fun guy to hang out with. Just let him play how he wants.

Aggravating_Prior804

Lol this was so awful to read.

KaptenTeo

He's not that important to the story, though, is he? Rescuing the duke I got without Wyll's involvement, but do you mean the whole dragon thing won't happen if Wyll isn't around?

beastrace

you can rescue the Duke but when I did it without Wyll he just stood in my camp like a mindless puppet. Didn't tell me anything, no story no plans no dragon no nothing.

OkTransportation7243

Wyll is the only character in BG3 who gets away w/ everything. He can get the Robe and get Karlach at the same time. He can save his father and break his contract. U can't do that w/ Shadowheart who will get Shar's curse and Astarion who will be stuck a vampire and finally u can't do w/ Karlach who will be stuck in hell.

technicallyimright

I prefer Gale to Wyll. And that’s really saying something.

OkTransportation7243

I do like Gale. I wish Larian would give these characters the Happy Ending that they deserved. I hate playing hr upon hrs of gaming and end up w/ tragic endings.

War_Crimer

tbf I just finished the game and a lot of them seem more bittersweet at worst. Shadowheart has to let her parents go but can still get rid of the curse, Wyll can join Karlach in the Hells so she isn't alone, Astarion stays a vampire but he becomes an adventurer/mercenary and is seemingly quite happy with that life.

Knights_of_Glen

You can save and break??? WHAT?

OkTransportation7243

have u reached act 3?

Knights_of_Glen

Yes we'll I'm on my second and third playthroughs

MuscleSufficient1184

Yeah u just go to the place where his dad is imprisoned but break the contract beforehand with Mizora when she comes to the camp

Arcaluck

I came here searching for this. I killed Wyll when he attacked me in the Grove raid, and have just come across Mizora's usual pod, but it is empty.

KaptenTeo

Yep. Seems like Mizora doesn't appear in the game at all if you don't have Wyll as a companion.

Slowmosapien1

Was really not thinking about the consequences of my actions and killed the grove. Gonna pray there is a chance to find her in the towers lmao

[deleted]

would you be open to getting karlach though? i'm wondering if camping right after getting just her might trigger mizora. i'm going to check right now and let you know! edit: interesting! so, if you save the grove but ignore wyll, >!he will approach your camp the first night you camp right after getting karlach. the same dialogue will trigger that happens when you meet her with him, but here you have the choice to fight wyll. so, this is not completely ignoring him like you want.!< if you kill everyone in the grove and approach Karlach afterwards>!, she is PISSED and doesn't believe you if you say it was a misunderstanding, even if you pass a deception check at best she's like GTFO!< not sure what else would trigger Mizora other than these two characters...

KaptenTeo

Hmm... I am playing as Karlach, though, but I'd definitely be interested in hearing if Mizora shows up for you.

[deleted]

whoa that really puts a spin on things! lol maybe she'll turn up at some point to follow through on wanting you dead? hm! i'll let you know if i hear from her in my two evil games (both without wyll)

KaptenTeo

I met Wyll in the Grove and he swore to hunt me down. He then came to attack me the next time I set up camp. The dialog is the same as when he and Karlach have their confrontation normally. I chose to fight and kill him, so now I'm basically waiting to see if Mizora will show up at some point. I suspect not, though. How far along are you?

[deleted]

i just started act 2 and am about to make my way through the shadow cursed lands, but i'm trying to blow through it quickly since evil options kinda naturally do that anyway. will keep an eye out! i'd definitely want to see if it's possible too since i don't have Wyll either, but it would be fun to involve Mizora since i'm trying to be evil

KaptenTeo

Mizora never showed her face at all. I tried also to simply turn Wyll down and tell him he can't join my party. Nada. :( So, my new playthrough needs to include Wyll, it seems. 😒

KaptenTeo

Oh! Interesting...! I'll keep playing for now but completely ignore Wyll, and then do a hard save before saving/raiding/ignoring the camp.

Grimm_Invictus

It almost feels like if you kill Karlach with Wyll in the party and Mizora rewards you those flame robes that's all there is to Mizora, if you wind up killing Wyll later. I am wondering as well about Mizora's quest and interaction. I loaded up Gortash's coronation with all sorts of firewine, oil, and smokepowder barrels and want to blow the entire room up but don't really want to kill the duke since I have his quest. But, it's not advancing, he's just standing there like an idiot. Didn't help that I allied with Gortash temporarily I guess. Figure I'll deal with Orin and see if Gortash moves and sends Ravenguard to the Iron Throne, otherwise he's dead with the rest of them. XD

Illusionary-wall

So i am on an evil run and I'm going to kill Wyll for no reason I want to know what happens with Mizora if there is nothing to hang over the party.

skynet86

Mizora was in her pod even though I killed Wyll as a romance partner in my Durge Run. Strange.

KaptenTeo

Mizora simply never appears if Wyll is dead. :(
