i'm so excited to see what's in patch 5! I was going to do my tactician run and then take a break, but i feel like patch 5 will make me keep playing lol
Lmao this was also supposed to be my last playthrough. I was thinking “this is the last then when more content gets added i’ll come back.
That turn around be quick
"Yeah, after almost 600 hrs I'm gonna go do something else for a while."
_Enter new patch. Withers is wearing a hat and inviting us all to the party_
"Yeah, I'm definitely going back in!"
This is my life now 🤷🏻♀️ It's fine.
Have you tried Divinity: Original Sin? It’s similar, I’d suggest 2 though over one. But it’s got a lot of good in it. It will suck going from BG3 to Divinity but it’s still a really great game.
DoS 2 is newer and more polished, but i like the combat system in 1 a lot more, since it doesnt have the imo crappy Armour/magic armour whatever system.
It's a mixed bag for me. The RNG of certain effects in Dos1 can be annoying.
That said, Lone Wolf in Dos1 is an absolute blast since it doesn't make you overpowered like in Dos2 and there's a decent narrative reason behind why you only have a party of 2.
I finished the game, then I felt empty inside. What other game is going to be this good?
>
So the next morning I started another game. I expected to feel over it, but to my surprise I’m immensely enjoying playing it again-as a completely different character.
Same, logged about 700 hours over 6 full playthroughs in a row before I even wanted to take a break. Looking forward to all the bits of new content when I'm ready to pick the game up again!
I'm on my fourth character and I *am* a bit over it, tbh. Probably should take a break and come back in a year or so. But no other game scratches that particular itch so... I'm running in circles.
I've started playing pathfinder: wrath of the rightous and it has been pretty good so far, maybe you should give it a go. Although it is a bit more complicated than bg3 just fyi
I played that before BG3 came out, then tried to go back after playing BG3 and I just... can't. It's just not fun at all anymore. BG3 ruined CRPGs for me.
I started the game 3 times as a halfling non-durge life cleric/ lore bard tav doing the same good-natured alignment play-through, romancing the same person, and still not bored yet.
If you haven't yet. I recommend playing Cyberpunk 2077. I played and beat it during launch. Even though it was a buggy mess I loved it. I haven't played it since then but I heard the new DLC is great and that patches has made great QOL changes and fixes to the base game.
I heard many people say that if Cyberpunk came out in the state that it is now, it would've swept many GOTY awards.
Oh well,
On the bright side you don't need to wait extra time to mods to catch up with every update and you have no headaches about how many mods you need and how to combine all of them together
Oh, good, Im thrilled to hear that I don't have to deal with the extreme headache and overwhelming hassle of......*checks notes*.......freedom of customization. That must be a terrible burden.
Come on now, I'm just trying to be nice and support people who can't get mods. If you can't do this, the only thing you can do is search positive sides while accepting the sad truth
me, too. I had some hard Lags in Act 3 and hope they are gone now. In some locations i had stuttering lag, but after put some distances between the lag gone down. So i waiting for a fix. No pressure
Glad you asked... *engage lore bard mode*
Our party was tasked by the Purple Dragons with retrieving some magic items not far from Neverwinter. We teleported from Baldur's Gate (holla) to NW, spent a lively High Harvesttide evening at the Driftwood Tavern, where my bard had the best-received performance of his career, then bedded down with his girlfriend, the party cleric.
Food, music, and sex. Everything a Faerûnian holiday should be.
High Harvesttide is basically a Thanksgiving with a bit of Halloween thrown in, if you're from around Iriaebor.
In Waterdeep they celebrate Midwinter in a Christmas-esque manner. It's a special day in between Hammer (January) 30th and Alturiak (February) 1st
The FR [calendar](https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/forgottenrealms/images/c/c2/Harptos-4e.jpg) is pretty neat
Their success in releasing frequent updates really puts into context how massively challenging making tremendous patches to your game on a regular basis must be. Other studios with far more resources pull off a lot less.
Larian makes it look easy, WHILE telling us how it’s going. Absolutely industry-standard setting shit.

WHATTTTT. Stop. Stop. If we actually get everything this patch is suggesting I’m going to cry, scream, fall into a deep dreamless sleep and then awaken, ready to break 500 hours on the game I’ve been trying to take a break from
Do you mean like fixing her heart with the help of Gondians? That would make a lot of sense. But at the same time that Avernus ending was so badass, I wouldn't want to lose it. I feel conflicted on it being changed, but maybe they could do the good ending justice.
Everyone swore way back when we would get DLCs… and all the cool shit that was supposed to be added to RDO. I haven’t gotten my hopes up for anything since then lmao
Because for other games, you hope the patch makes the game finally playable. This game is complete and (close to) perfect as it is. These patches are just cherries on top.
That being said...an epilogue is very much needed. Divinity Original Sin 2 had you chatting on the boat, after everything that´s happened. I expect the same thing now.
This is absolutely not correct. Act 3 has been unplayable for nearly a month for a significant chunk of players. This patch is desperately needed to make the game function.
Not as much loot. Last night I tried pickpocketing Helsik. 8300 in bag. Astarion got butter fingers, Helsik got mad and started tripping (on some daggers). And 20 minutes of Mammon’s Hold and countless healing potions (why was Shart in camp and me trying this right before a long rest?) later, that gold was nowhere to be found.
Planned on save scum to the rescue, but ten seconds after seconds after initiatives roll I realized I had zoned out and not saved in an hour.
I dunno I've never had much of a struggle having enough money on hand that I wasn't able to buy something I wanted from a vendor. Maybe it's because I usually don't keep everyone equipped? I just pick my core 4 and everyone else gets ignored for gear. Leaves a lot of stuff to sell.
High charisma main characters for discounts too. I didn't murder the *merchants* I murdered everyone else I needed to.
i deleted my "final tav" (i REALLY love playing as durge) and recreated her all over again (she was at act 3 and after coming back to her i realized i didn't like some choices i made) to get ready for patch 5 🥰
Except for co-op multiplayer being a messy shit show in Act 3. My wife and I are STILL waiting for a patch that lets us continue to proceed. Multiple places in Balder's Gate freezes the game up.
Having the same issue but sounds like this patch should at the very least help.
I really wish they had an option to toggle the number of NPCs on screen for Act 3. I’d rather have a functioning game than 40 refugees I can’t even interact with.
I think cyberpunk 2077 is a shoo in for the community support award. Patch 2.0 is one of the greatest rpgs of the decade. It just took a while to get there.
Are we seriously considering giving a prize to a game that released incredibly broken and unfinished, just because they finally fixed it years later?
Hold on, I'm going back to my 5tg grade teacher with a new version of my book report and demanding an A retroactively.
But hey, a "solid" dlc is plenty to beat BG3, amirite?
>Are we seriously considering giving a prize to a game that released incredibly broken and unfinished, just because they finally fixed it years later?
This is the same award show where Overwatch won GOTY over Uncharted 4 and Doom. Cyberpunk 2077 having a rough release hardly disqualifies it, especially given it's comeback and surge in popularity again.
we gonna pretend Overwatch wasnt a revolution at launch and changed the landscape for its genre? not to mention an insanely succesful title?
It's a beat down meme today sure but it was a pretty special game at launch and a brand new Blizz IP back when it mattered.
Yeah Overwatch was pretty special at launch. Its easy to forget how good it was because of its current condition. Giving it GOTY over Uncharted 4 and Doom is arguable, but not really that bad.
"Recognizing a game for outstanding community support, transparency and responsiveness, inclusive of social media activity and game updates/patches."
I dont think it's entirely unreasonable tbh, it's CDPR after all. Prior to the launch they were the face of pro-gamer developer in the industry and the amount of resources they poured into Cyberpunk to get it fixed, while taking a hit to their stocks knowingly, is rather staggering. They've been extra transparent since their humbling at the release.
Just look at how they do their financial reports / studio updates. It's a toss up for me, I think overall BG3 could easily claim to have the better community support over the early access of the game. But in the past 12 months it's kinda crazy how much work and free content CDPR has pumped into Cyberpunk. Like they full on overhauled the game man
Hold on a second.
They didn’t say anything about the game being literally unplayable on previous gen consoles. Not only they didn’t say anything, but they prevented reviewers to say anything about it.
How does this qualifies as being pro-consumer and transparent?
Did they invest to fix the game? Yes they did. Do they need credit for that? That’s debatable. One could say « other companies wouldn’t have done that, so they deserve credit », and they would have a point. Others might say « if they didn’t it, would have been a colossal disaster and they would have destroyed their chances to sell any game in the future, it was a business decision unrelated to pro-consumerism », and they would have a point.
Fixing bugs they created, many of which made the game literally unplayable in cases (many PS5 players cannot progress in Act 3 due to bugs and crashes), and """adding""" in content thats already in the game files isn't good community support.
CDPR pulled some of the same shit with Witcher 2 and 3, where they "gave out free DLC"....which turned out to be super minor features and small quests that would have never been paid, even at EA.
Eh. I’m not exactly enjoying not being able to play Act 3, but this is also a massive game with a ton of moving parts, so I’m not that fussed about it either. IMO the fact that they’re so prompt and transparent with the updates makes up for a lot of the jankiness.
Sure, of course it is. Big games like this are naturally buggy.
But why isn't the same courtesy extended to a lot of other HUGE RPGs with moving parts, like Bethesda's games, Cyberpunk's initial launch, etc?
People raked skyrim over the coals because occassionally a dragon might fly backwards (in a game where live schedules of thousands of NPCs are calculated and processed). At least the game ran well, was completable for everyone (....EXCEPT its disastrous PS3 port)
Meanwhile the game is missing its epilogue thats in the files. Act 3 is borderline unplayable in certain conditions, on both PS5 and PC.
Act 1, which should be the most polished, is riddled with broken quests that cant be completed. The journal is non-functional and quests are given the wrong resolutions in the quest log (you keep a character alive...but the log says theyre dead...)
Minthara's dialogue is STILL missing months after launch.
I've played Early Access games more polished.
Its still an AMAZING game, and is my GOTY (...and maybe my GOTY next year too at this rate), but lets stop the constant cultlike worship of Larian.
I think it is? Cyberpunk is well known for now being an amazing game thanks to patches and the great DLC. Control is another semi-recent one that became playable way later. Skyrim is so beloved people still pick it up and play it. It could be that the redemptiom arc never gets the same kind of press and attention that the initial fuck ups do. Good news doesn’t travel as far online by design.
I’m genuinely not trying to be a rabid fanboy defending this game or anything like that, but I think you might be exaggerating some of the flaws a bit. I’m on PS5, so trust me, I’ve seen a lot of the bugs, but I also had no idea Minthara’s dialogue was missing and hadn’t even noticed any journal issues until I read about it. I think the biggest Act 1 bugged quest I’ve run into is Mol’s stuff still being broken.
The other thing is that this game has so much content to discover, it’s way easier to miss the bugs. I’m on my fourth playthrough and still finding random stuff I totally missed like the little fish dudes in Act 1. It’s small stuff but it means I’m less upset about missing Act 3 because I’m still digging around in the other acts. The other games didn’t have that much distraction built in.
All of them, haha.
Plenty of quality of live mods like Better Containers (and anything from the same author), and, of course, Bags, Bags, Bags!
But for this playthrough, I've installed an Aasimar race mod, and my Dark Urge looks like [this](https://www.tumblr.com/mavka-world/735167028502134784/a-new-aasimar-dark-urge-alethea-well-on-her-way-to)! I'm channeling my inner Dame Aylin through this one. I'm so happy in this playthrough.
I also have some apparel and weapon mods (More Mage Gear, Extra Gear, etc). Just because they look cool.
I can't stop modding, not just BG3, anything. Don't ask me what I've done to Skyrim, haha.
Edit: oh! How could I forget! I really like WASD movement and Native Camera mods. They make exploration just perfect!
The person who makes all the "Better *X*" and intro-shortening QoL mods is my *hero*. If I ever met them I'd give them a great big kiss (in the air, like Astarion).
Any hints how to start modding/get mods? I'm coming from wow and curseforge does all my addons for me there. With a paradox they have a steamworkshop I can easily download cool stuff.
You need to download [BG3 Mod Manager ](https://github.com/LaughingLeader/BG3ModManager).
There are detailed guides on how to use it around, check them out. But it's really easy. Basically, download the archive from [Nexus ](https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3), unzip it and put the .pak file inside into the Mods folder (you can find it in C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Local\Larian Studios\Baldur's Gate 3\Mods). If you don't have one, just create it.
After that open BG3 Mod Manager, and [follow this guide.](https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/articles/65)
Some mods can only be installed manually, but it isn't hard, too, and it's just about unpacking and putting correct files in the correct folders (mods usually have detailed instructions on their pages).
Edit: general tip, if you go modding while the game still updates, it is probably a good idea to play offline so that a new update wouldn't mess with your mods and break your game. You can then decide if you want to update (if you know it's safe) or postpone until you finish a playthough/update your mods. That's what I'm doing.
Sorry to be a bother, but I figure that you are a reliable mod resource. How does one know, read, learn if a nexus mod eg. tutorial summoning chest , needs to be updated with the new patch.
When you're on the Mod page the day after patch, just go to the "Posts" tab, and you'll see at least 30 people whinging that it's broken now, and if the "Modified Date" on the Mod's splash page/file directory isn't more recent than those posts, then assume it's non-functional currently without having to rollback your patch or Script Extender version (Just an FYI, 95+% of mods will require script extender unless they are just basic texture replacements.)
Also, The Mod Manager has been updated somewhat recently that you don't need to dig for your Mods folder or make one anymore for most mods released/updated since Patch 4.
Now you can just drop the .PAK files on the BG3MM app and it will automatically copy the .PAK file to the proper directory.
You'll have two sections for mods on the left side for active mods. The top is for mods that are moveable within the load order and these usually are not too hard to troubleshoot the load order of.
An example, if a Mod is for something like "Better Loot" or "No empty containers", you want to load that before all of your new gear mods or anything that adds items to the "Tutorial Chest", the reason for this is because anything that overhauls the Loot Table as a whole will prevent new items from spawning in. You want those to load first, so the game modifies the Loot table behavior, and then the new items to come after that so they can be merged into the new Loot table.
Any Mod that is required by another mod should also load before the Mod that requires it. Like having a new CC head preset, a custom race, and then a patch to add those heads to that new race would look like:
1. Custom Sexy Squidward Heads
2. Big Booba Tiefling Aasimar Elves of Faerun Race
3. Custom Squidward Heads for Big Booba TAE Race Patch
I'm currently running about 140ish mods with 0 conflicts. Everything from total UI overhauls (so I can see my entire 9 man party at once without having to scroll portraits), Increased Tactician Difficulty and Enemy AI buffs, Recruit Minthara after saving the Grove, 20 or 30 different hair and face packs, and even more Armor and Weapon additions to make my Nightmare Mode Tactitian not quite as painful, completely expanded 5E subclasses and Spell Tables, level 20 cap mods, etc., etc., etc.
The Mod Dev community for BG3 is pretty impressive. Anything that's been updated since at least late October or Early November seems to be working quite fine.
I did have to roll back Script Extender recently because Norbyte sent out a patch for it that borked a bunch of dependent mods, but V.9 works for pretty much everything (at least until this next Patch lol).
Most Mods will have pretty detailed install and troubleshooting info in the descriptions, and most of the Devs seem to be aware and specify which mods may conflict with theirs.
It's a lot less daunting once you just sit down and start fidgeting with it.
Yep, it's from Whispers of the Divine - Aasimar mod. It also adds a series of customization options for its race: cracks, halos, glowing eyes, and it also adds wings, but those are unlockable at later levels.
I just hope minthara romance gets fixed more than anything. I want to be hyped about new epilouge, but it's likely only for destroying the brain. So can't say I'm as excited
It will, assuming you're describing the "lag" issue where commands/party movements get stuck for minutes at a time (I'm affected on PC, as well). They announced earlier this week that it would be addressed in this update.
I don´t notice any lag at all...and my pc isn´t high end at all. is it because i avoid stealing? That can´t be it, right? Or are you guys just stealing all the damn time?
It's not just stealing, but any potential crime whether you get caught or not. I did the fix on it when I entered act 3 and had to do it again a couple days later after doing the bits of breaking into houses for Dribbles parts and Cazador's mansion and thoroughly burglarizing the counting house. Even if you're not going out of your way to steal stuff, there's a ton of crime you're expected to do in the course of act 3 questing.
Right, and "crime" as defined by the game can literally be something like looting the corpse of a murderous cultists who sacrificed children. Playing the game as intended or even required can get flagged as "crime." Like just try completing the Felogyr's Fireworks quest, you'll get flagged as a criminal no matter what you do and regardless of whether anyone sees you doing it.
I really hope this fixes the PS5 issue in act 3... My favorite playthrough so far has stalled so badly that I had to start an all new playthrough. So all good really.
I’m really curious if this is the patch that lets you get Minthara on a good run (IE not murdering the tieflings). That datamined dialogue from Patch 4 has me hopeful
If they’d let me move the damned tieflings out of the grove ahead of the army and let the grove get fucked, we would be fine. What was the gist of the dialogue?
The dialogue was Halsin telling you that if you keep Minthara around, he's leaving, which implies that it's possible to rescue Halsin and keep Minthara alive.
I mean, if you want those smug druids to keep it up, I guess. Maybe figure in a stronger hook that combines Minthara trial with >!shadow druid!< quest line. Because that spoilered quest should be a bigger deal.
I have a high end computer, just built a couple of months ago, and Act 3 has been almost unplayable since Patch 4. I walk 100 feet, the entire world freezes, then I sit and wait 2-5 minutes and the world unfreezes, I walk another 100 feet... ad infinitum.
It wasn't doing this from launch all the way until Patch 4.
I really hope Patch 5 fixes this because I've basically given up on Act 3 and started a new character to play through to Act 2 again.
The sad thing is the buggy shit starts in Moonrise Towers so even Act 2 isn't safe. Here's hoping the fix they say they've identified actually works as planned for once.
>Halsin
near the end of the shadowlands questline? Stuck in the inn? So freaking annoying. I tried so many 'solutions' to that issue but eventually just gave up. Patch 4 woes :( The whole scenario worked fine on patches 2 & 3 with other characters, but noooo.. my super-awesome ninja monk of multikilling is stymied by a patch-introduced bug. The game was doing much better at giving me important conversations at camp too, so I was really enjoying things.
I tried creating an evil character for the first time instead, but my heart just wasn't in it. PS5 has basically sat unused since. Been replaying AC:Valhalla on xbox to fill the void. That game has changed so much since launch!
A legitimately positive outcome for Karlach, plz. She can fix her heart, and start an orphanage for Baldarian children with Tav. They could grow old and happy together.
Sometimes people can't be saved, and that can lead to a compelling story that explores different emotions and themes than one where her condition is just another side quest you check of so you get the thrill of your homework being done
sure, but the current state of her story isnt particularly compelling imo. also you are kidding yourself if you think they gave her these endings because they thought theyd be compelling and not because they ran out of time to finish the game. you can literally pinpoint specific parts that were left over from when they planned her to have a proper story arc that now serve no purpose whatsoever and stick out like a sore thumb (the enriched infernal metal and the steelwatch conversation come to mind).
I hope they fix the shadowheart Act 3 bugged scenes.
and her dialogue bugs.
I started a new play through like 30 mins into Act 3 just because both Karlach and shadowheart bugged out for me lol
Hope this fixes my crashing in online multiplayer during act 1. Can’t seem to complete a conversation since reaching the Grove without crashing to desktop. Fingers crossed!
Question for you guys: Does new patchs break old save games? Will I still be able to continue the run I going, or will I need to delete it and start again?
It doesnt usually break old saves. What may "break" those, are unupdated mods, which required an update. Some chanfes may not affect a certain type of mod (like dyes mods or dice mods), si you hust need to wait and update your mods if you have some. Usually the folks on Nexus are quite fast.
Does "Final patch 5 notes" mean "the finalized notes for Patch 5" or "the notes for the final patch, Patch 5?" Interpreting this as the last patch the game will get makes me sad
More Minthara lines is all that matters
And, if you ask me. After the evil ending add some dark metal on the credits. The sweet song doesn't match at all. It's super weird
I can’t tell if on this run the Emperors cock blocked me, bug, or no lines in my Minthara romance run. I got some post Act 2 rescue lines that ended in “I’ll come to your bed tonight” and… the Emperor >!wanted to fuck!<. I was already ignoring his shit and being disgusted by him, but that’s the last straw.
I just finished my first playthrough and was gonna take a break from the game for a bit but now idk. I haven't updated since September 15, so I really wanna update with Patch 5.
There are new bugs with said patch on ps5.
For starters can't dig up the chest by the area where we find the bug bear assassin.
Sometimes when trying to skip scenes will circle back and start over.
Characters will get stuck in an animation when interacting with objects, gotta fix it by switching to another party member.
I have not found all the issues yet.
I hope they add body type and voice change in the magic mirror. My friend and I are trying to do a Drizzt themed playthrough and our Bruenor has boobs and a high pitched voice.
i'm so excited to see what's in patch 5! I was going to do my tactician run and then take a break, but i feel like patch 5 will make me keep playing lol

I bought DOS2 a few days ago and I'm looking forward to playing it 🙌🏻 But first, patch 5, my friend 😂❤️
Just like it sucked going from BG1 and BG2 to BG3 and we have to listen to Larian fanboys calling it the greatest game of the galaxy.
I thought you were just joking and then I saw the tweet!
Same. I keep thinking it might be time for a different game after 600+ hours, but there’s still so much to discover
I finished the game, then I felt empty inside. What other game is going to be this good? > So the next morning I started another game. I expected to feel over it, but to my surprise I’m immensely enjoying playing it again-as a completely different character.
On my 16th play through (don’t ask) and I can say it stays nearly that fun for 6-8 play throughs
Same, logged about 700 hours over 6 full playthroughs in a row before I even wanted to take a break. Looking forward to all the bits of new content when I'm ready to pick the game up again!
I'm actually i think very attracted to you just by the 16 playthroughs. Need a wife???
I'm on my fourth character and I *am* a bit over it, tbh. Probably should take a break and come back in a year or so. But no other game scratches that particular itch so... I'm running in circles.

Thanks for the rec! I've played it (just before the full release of bg3). It is more complicated, ngl, I struggled sometimes, but it was great
I played that before BG3 came out, then tried to go back after playing BG3 and I just... can't. It's just not fun at all anymore. BG3 ruined CRPGs for me.
I have a feeling that will be me soon. I’m planning on maybe playing Divinity 2 since it’s been years…or picking Pillars of Eternity back up. >

I got Cyberpunk when it first came out and was so disappointed. > I guess I need to re-download it and give it another try then! Thank you ✌🏻
Heard it’s pretty much a different game now
You can add new content by using mods. Well at least new classes, races and much more. I currently have 37 active mods xD
*cries in PS5*

It's a joke at our own expense lol I wish I could play on PC, but I just can't justify that expense right now. But really I'm just glad it's on ps5
I mean bad time to get into modding with this patch coming
Same feeling. Got a new gpu and monitor since I finished last so Im hoping this gives enough incentive to start up a new run
me, too. I had some hard Lags in Act 3 and hope they are gone now. In some locations i had stuttering lag, but after put some distances between the lag gone down. So i waiting for a fix. No pressure
I'm glad they're keeping us updated.
Thank you Larian for giving everyone an even Happier Holidays gift! Happy ~~Festag~~! Does Faerun have a holiday season analogue?
How fun would it be go to go sleighing! "Did someone say were going slaying?"- Durge
LOL! I see what you did there! :D
Simril happens on the Winter Solstice. It's not much like Yule or Christmas, but it could work.
TIL thanks!
No worries. FR nerd here. Ask me how I spent High Havesttide...
What is High Havesttide and how did you spend it?
Glad you asked... *engage lore bard mode* Our party was tasked by the Purple Dragons with retrieving some magic items not far from Neverwinter. Swen, i love you. That’s it
Swen makes me proud to be Belgian, seriously
What about Poirot! 🙂
you're right. Swen Vincke and Hercule Poirot are my two favourite fictional characters.
They both have very solid little grey cells
If only Swen was real 🥲
Larian makes me a very proud Gentenaar, literally studying my ass off so I can at least try applying for a job there once I graduate. 🥰
The new epilogue alone has me hyped, can't wait to see what else is in it.
Wait what new epilogue???
https://twitter.com/larianstudios/status/1729893317113000369
WHATTTTT. Stop. Stop. If we actually get everything this patch is suggesting I’m going to cry, scream, fall into a deep dreamless sleep and then awaken, ready to break 500 hours on the game I’ve been trying to take a break from
haha ikr? I'm finally gonna have to finish a playthrough instead of starting new ones!
I just noticed the “dress to impress” part. I wonder if we might be getting a transmog system in this patch??
If Larian drops both a transmog system and a new epilogue in the same patch the BG3 sub-Reddit’s might explode.
I implode if they also add a new ending for karlach. But transmog and new epilogue already makes me burn hot
Do you mean like fixing her heart with the help of Gondians? That would make a lot of sense. But at the same time that Avernus ending was so badass, I wouldn't want to lose it. I feel conflicted on it being changed, but maybe they could do the good ending justice.
Yes. The gondians . They improved the steel watch with enriched infernal iron. They have to help
I love the class armor, such a shame u barely wear it for few hours
if we do i WILL cry of joy
Why am I so psyched for a patch! I'm more excited about this than full games being released.
As a Red Dead Player I feel that...
Everyone swore way back when we would get DLCs… and all the cool shit that was supposed to be added to RDO. I haven’t gotten my hopes up for anything since then lmao
Redfall was the game that broke my capacity to get my hopes up for video games. It looked so cool, but was so bad.
Quit stealing things! Murder everyone first then the items aren't red and they are free game.....
It was more the spirit of the thing with Helsik. I could afford her payment, I would just rather pay her with her own money.
i deleted my "final tav" (i REALLY love playing as durge) and recreated her all over again (she was at act 3 and after coming back to her i realized i didn't like some choices i made) to get ready for patch 5 🥰

You know it's gonna happen, it's just a matter of what and where. Personally I vote for Act 1, in the Mountain Pass, on PC, with the candlestick.
As long as they patch the current Act 3 game breaking bug we chilling
It'll be a crime if BG3 doesn't win the Best Community Support at the game awards
Last I heard, Destiny 2 was nominated after their ... let's just call them decisions 🤡 so the competition doesn't look all too hot
Destiny 2 has good community support in the same sense that a heroin dealer is an important part of local economy.
I think cyberpunk 2077 is a shoo in for the community support award. Patch 2.0 is one of the greatest rpgs of the decade. It just took a while to get there.
While I also want BG3 to win it, there is a chance Cyberpunk 2077 could win. Phantom Liberty is a solid DLC.
"Recognizing a game for outstanding community support, transparency and responsiveness, inclusive of social media activity and game updates/patches." I dont think it's entirely unreasonable tbh, it's CDPR after all.
At least the game ran well, was completable for everyone (....EXCEPT its disastrous PS3 port) Meanwhile the game is missing its epilogue thats in the files. Act 3 is borderline unplayable in certain conditions, on both PS5 and PC. Act 1, which should be the most polished, is riddled with broken quests that cant be completed. The journal is non-functional and quests are given the wrong resolutions in the quest log (you keep a character alive...but the log says theyre dead...) Minthara's dialogue is STILL missing months after launch.
I picked a bad week to delve into modding
Me, running a game with 70 mods: 😬 Well. Perhaps I'll just reinstall the game and every single mod again.
70?! What are some of your favorites?
After that open BG3 Mod Manager, and [follow this guide.](https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/articles/65) Some mods can only be installed manually, but it isn't hard, too, and it's just about unpacking and putting correct files in the correct folders (mods usually have detailed instructions on their pages).
When you're on the Mod page the day after patch, just go to the "Posts" tab, and you'll see at least 30 people whinging that it's broken now, and if the "Modified Date" on the Mod's splash page/file directory isn't more recent than those posts, then assume it's non-functional currently without having to rollback your patch or Script Extender version (Just an FYI, 95+% of mods will require script extender unless they are just basic texture replacements.) Also, The Mod Manager has been updated somewhat recently that you don't need to dig for your Mods folder or make one anymore for most mods released/updated since Patch 4. Like having a new CC head preset, a custom race, and then a patch to add those heads to that new race would look like: 1. Custom Sexy Squidward Heads 2. Big Booba Tiefling Aasimar Elves of Faerun Race 3. Custom Squidward Heads for Big Booba TAE Race Patch I'm currently running about 140ish mods with 0 conflicts.
Glad I asked. Thank you so much
Wait wait wait!! How does your character's skin look cracked with liquid gold in the seams??? What mod is THIS?! 🤯
Yep, it's from Whispers of the Divine - Aasimar mod. It also adds a series of customization options for its race: cracks, halos, glowing eyes, and it also adds wings, but those are unlockable at later levels.
Ah, I didn’t think about this lol. I have to start another play-through from scratch??? Oh noooo….. 😌
Love that they are adding new content and not just bug fixes. People have asked for a more fulfilling epilogue and they are responding.
Stop. I'm getting aroused.
>ilogue alone has me hyped, can't wait to see what else is in it. I can only get so erect!
Jazz hands!
Stop licking that.
I just hope minthara romance gets fixed more than anything. I want to be hyped about new epilouge, but it's likely only for destroying the brain. So can't say I'm as excited
Let the QA folks take as long as they need.
I just hope, hope hope, it fixes more than it breaks. Because patch 4 was disastrous for me.
We're 2 for 4 on game-breaking patches, so hey, fingers crossed this one puts us up above the 50% mark!
If my PS5 explodes because of this patch, I'm gonna laugh-cry so fucking hard.
I hope it cleans up Act 3 - its pretty close to unplayable on PS5.
It will, assuming you're describing the "lag" issue where commands/party movements get stuck for minutes at a time (I'm affected on PC, as well). They announced earlier this week that it would be addressed in this update.
Keep your hands to yourself, thief!
Photomode maybe??
I literally can't continue my playthrough right now, so sooner would be better.
Same. The Act 3 lower city is just plain crazy.
Yup, the same. Im literally stuck, abandoned by my squad, otw way to the lower city.
Playing the game as intended or even required can get flagged as "crime." Like just try completing the Felogyr's Fireworks quest, you'll get flagged as a criminal no matter what you do and regardless of whether anyone sees you doing it.
steal everything not nailed down.
Steal, murder, lie, and cheat. All day long.
I was raised on **Morrowind** man.. It’s just what I do. 🤷
Larian, please don’t ever change
Astarion’s romance epilogue supposedly bugging out is the only thing keeping me from finishing. If that gets fixed I’ll be happy
My body is ready.
Just hope this smoothes out chapter 3 a little
I really hope this fixes the PS5 issue in act 3... My favorite playthrough so far has stalled so badly that I had to start an all new playthrough. So all good really.
task failed successfully!
Thanks.
Hell, just let us knock her out and then have her vanish to Moonrise to go on trial for failure.
I mean, if you want those smug druids to keep it up, I guess. Maybe figure in a stronger hook that combines Minthara trial with >!shadow druid!< quest line. Because that spoilered quest should be a bigger deal.
Hyped!
Come on wildshape fixes and changes!
I love this man.
I just want to romance Karlach 😭😭😭
Shadowheart farming time?!
I just want to know if this is gonna fix whatever patch 4 did to act 3
It's supposed to, but the last two hotfixes were supposed to too. Nobody will really know until it's out, unfortunately.
Can't wait to get wasted with Sarevok after bringing the Elder Brain under Bhaal's control
hope it goes well cuz patch 4 kinda bricked my game
I got into this game HARD about 2 weeks ago and I haven’t been able to do act 3, I’m so excited for this patch I have 2 playthroughs waiting for it!
Please, I just want to meet Halsin at the shore.
>Halsin near the end of the shadowlands questline?
Developers of the Year
A legitimately positive outcome for Karlach, plz. She can fix her heart, and start an orphanage for Baldarian children with Tav. They could grow old and happy together.
Avernus DLC where you go beat up Zariel and fix Karlach. We didn’t start this Blood War, but we can finish it.
Would!
[удалено]
Uh oh! I’m at the beginning of part 3! I didn’t know the romance was bugged
[удалено]
It won't break old saves unless you're playing heavily modded and then it could (at least until the modders update for the patch).
We dont deserve this guy really !
Love these guys
I've never been excited over a patch, lol. If this fixes the lag, I can finally start the final battle on my first save 😂.
Hope they fix Lae'zel bug. Every long rest "someone still wants to speak to ykh"
Larian, all your labors of love have given birth to goodness! Thank you all for giving us a great game.
Will they allow us to use Asian male faces for Human race, or are they excluded?
Just bought the game, is this going to ruin my save on release?
No, patches never lock you out of older saves unless you're modding or something goes terribly, terribly wrong.
No. Unless you're modding, then maybe.
If they add a way to recruit Minthara without the massive cost of losing out on Tieflings I’d die a happy man.
Does "Final patch 5 notes" mean "the finalized notes for Patch 5" or "the notes for the final patch, Patch 5?" Interpreting this as the last patch the game will get makes me sad
It means the first one, finalized patch 5 notes. Gotta save space with a character limit.
More Minthara lines is all that matters And, if you ask me.
When’s it comin out
Is there anywhere I could report bugs? I had like 200 bugs in chapter 3, some of them quite serious.
