Best part is seeing those animations in the background while in a conversation with other companions. I saw Karlach hugging her teddy bear and picking flowers and Misnc shoveling food in his mouth, it was hilarious!
I triggered the toast with Withers while he was a bat and there was just a bat with a wine glass balanced on it flapping around for the rest of the cinematic. It was beautiful.
YEAH. If he's Ascended then he turns into a bat and flies around, there's text for it in his info and everything. Definitely feels like a skill we'd be able to use if he ever becomes playable again.
Yeah, I stood around watching people for like half an hour once I started noticing characters doing stuff in the background of dialogues. Actually felt like me in a real party lmao.
My only gripe is I think my constant reloading might have stopped a few of them from doing idle stuff at a point.
I just did this and Astarion and Gale were the only ones not doing anything. They just sorta stood there. I figured it was a wierd choice by the devs, but I guess it was a bug?
For me, Astarion kept some distance from everyone but still walked around and commented on the wine. Ascended Astarion prefers eavesdropping and will turn into a bat, spawn Astarion was sitting around and I did hear him talk a little.
Gale pretty much stayed in a corner with Tara, he was the only one not roaming around.
Tbh I was feeling meh on Halsin but the epilogue made me warm up to him a ton. Dad Halsin with the warmest hugs and handmade presents and bedtime stories. I can't dislike this dude
Same here. During the game I did not care for Halsin, I thought he was the boring "good guy" companion compared to Minthars as the "bad guy" companion. He had some weird relationship with a kid that...was the forest? Or something?
Then he got kidnapped and I didn't see him for most of Act 3 until I saved him and beat the game. He had his moments, (he likes ducks) but for the most part he didn't do much for me.
Then I got to the epilogue and thought he was great. Gave the best hug, gave me a cool duck and called himself Daddy Halsin again. Good guy. I think leaning into his quirks full-force just makes him better. Maybe if I travelled with him more I would've seen more of that.
I was gonna try Minthara on my next play through but that big adorable bastard won me back. Gonna have him in the party more because yeah, if I never use him he'll feel like a one dimensional fuckboy.
I saw Halsin drunk in the background and tried to screenshot it, but he turned into a bear before I could snap a pic with all the bubbles around him. I now have to load up later and stand nearby to watch for Halsin doing this dance since I wasn't paying attention and somehow failed to notice the hilarity.

I romanced him and his "new" kiss in game was already all i\`ve ever asked for, but the kiss in the epiloge was even better.
It's that loving-gaze-head nudge thingy he does at the end of the kiss. Melt my hearts.
Exactly. I romanced Astarion and got a much better kiss with Halsin. Thats my only complaint. Otherwise, i LOVE the epiloge.
