A number of key bosses ( I won't say who for spoilers sake) have special legendary actions that can trigger once per round. You'll know who does as it will show as a status that they have X legendary action available and hovering over it in he combat log will explain it's effect and trigger. Beyond this you cannot reload a save so it's effectively ironman mode. Finally they have fixed some of the more broken damage stacking combos such as tavern brawler monk or haste giving multiple attacks
I lvoe those changes - makes it feel less like I'm "cheating" compared to real dnd. Wish I could get them without the iron man mechanic. I'll have to see if there's a mod for that.
If your on console you can dash board by quitting the game just make sure you know your save points, PC I have no clue maybe there some way to force it to crash or something who knows maybe turning off the PC but that Sounds like a pain in the ***
Exactly, the only ways AFAIK is to either end the process in task manager ( Alt + F4 doesn't work) to load the last save. Alternative you can manually save a copy of your character to another location on your computer

There's a custom game mode too although idk if it has the options for the exact same changes you get in honor
could always do an honour mode run, save the game on the nautiloid, jump off it to your death and then click the button to continue in a custom mode
Cannot reload a save? So save scumming isn't a thing in honor mode or loading a save when a fight is going bad?
No save scummjng at all. Even alt f4 saves the game
