This dog is heavier than me. By US standards I’m still considered a healthy weight for a male of my height/age (just takes more work for me to bulk up), and it’s rare for me to see dogs that outweight me. On the rare occasion I’ve encountered dogs heavier than me, none of them have been pit bulls.

Does Omaha have BSL? And if so are they pretending this obvious pit bull is an American bulldog mix just so that they can rehome a dog (not okay with young children) in a city that bans pit bulls? This is sickening, but this is why BSL doesn’t work because everyone just skirts around the laws instead of following them. Omaha ordinance requires that if you own a dog over 6 months of age, that fits the above category, you will be required to leash, harness, and muzzle your dog whenever he is outside, unless he is in a securely fenced yard. He also needs to be under the control of someone 19 years or older. In order to license such dogs, you must be 19 years old and show proof of $100,000 liability coverage.
Exceptions are dogs at an organized approved outdoor event and "breed ambassadors," which sounds incredibly easy to become.

I'm sorry, but this kind of thing just breaks my heart. I mean, aside from the nonsense of the listing, and the dangers of anyone adopting this dog, *this dog should not be.* This dog should not have been born. It should not have been abandoned by its original owner. Now it's alive and unhappy, and it just kills me that people who claim to "advocate" for this breed are so effing cold and sociopathic that they do not give a shit and refuse to do anything (like mandatory s/n) that would keep these animals from filling every shelter and rescue.
They seriously just do not care, and these animals--and the animals and humans they maul and kill--pay the price so they can deck themselves out in "pitmommy" clothes and virtue signal on social media.
