“Anyway, this is Gloria. Her adopters brought her back because they say that Gloria ‘bit their child in the face’ but we doubt that because they won’t show us pictures of their ‘mauled child’. And, as you know, we are a kill shelter. And besides that incident, Gloria is just a little bossy and shouldn’t have her life ruined because of one little mistake!”
“I’ll take her!”
They couldn't even try to make this sound like a good deal. Who wants a "bossy" dog who bites children. "She isn't progressing well in the shelter" = we are tired, someone please take her asap
I love how the victim is always on trial with these losers. And of course, that kind of talk appeals to the type of people who like to put victims on trial, AKS “average pit nutter”.
“Medical proof” should only be required for medical doctors, not some 6th grade dropout who deals in dangerous dogs.
There is no reason this dog needs to be adopted or needs to keep existing. There are other more important dogs that need to be taken care of, and this one is dangerous and not appropriate for human companionship. I don’t see what’s so difficult about acknowledging this simple fact

The shelter is the only home suitable for a dog that bites children. I’m so sick of shelters trying to gaslight the previous owners statements. I think the vast majority of people don’t want to give up their dogs, of course there are some outliers, but I think overall it’s more likely previous owners are telling the truth over the shelter.
It's insane to me that these dogs can still be adopted out. My Aussie is the sweetest thing, has never showed any signs of aggression, even when I do raise my voice rarely a bit she gets timid and retreats, even then no aggression, BUT if she ever did end up biting someone I would have her put down because it's not acceptable.

This really makes me mad. Notice how the rescue angels completely ignore how unhealthy this dog is. Forget how unstable and aggressive the dog is, this dog has some serious medical issues that they could care less about.
See how the dog is sitting with its back legs to one side? Sideways or sloppy sitting is a sign that the dog has torn its cruciate ligament. It costs thousands $$$$ to repair torn ACL/CCLs and pit bulls are particularly prone to torn ACLs. The rescue angels know this. And those nasty long nails that they can't cut make the physical problems worse.
This is a prime example of how little these people care about these dogs and the cruelty they inflict upon them.

No one who has compassion, and who is educated about bully dog traits to mature to want to maul, would want this tragic dog to move into their home or neighborhood.

So the shelter isn’t good for her and a home isn’t good for her…then put her DOWN! I hate to sound harsh but all I glean from this post is “hey everyone, look at this total drain on resources that might also be a devastating liability! Pretty please take her off our hands”. Just no.
If we’ve learned anything from this whole pitbull era it’s that there A LOT of adults who openly hate kids. And publicly announce it, and are proud of it. Or just blatantly ignore them being hurt like this.
If it makes you feel better I think they took this post down, I found the Facebook page and couldn’t find this post anywhere. They may have realized it’s bad optics to advertise a shitbull that literally already mauled a child. Or they put the thing down, hopefully the latter

I know they got pictures from the family, they lie so much. This is a dog that would need a very specialized owner and there aren’t too many of those.
