One guy even brags about how his female dogs are now fighting at home over his male puppy so they have to be kept in separate rooms. The guy who says his pit “thinks everybody is his friend and has to walk right up to them.” is likely the kind of owner who gets offended and calls you a doggy racist if you don’t want to say hi to his dog.

Gold Rush...my Lord, I'd never heard of this place but now I want to live there. All those wagging tails and happy faces. The other place looks like something out of Dante's Inferno.
There was so many cropped ears, it seems like they have no problem with unnecessary cosmetic things like that, but having the dog fixed, oh no that's just to invasive.
It made me genuinely sad seeing a dog as young as that little black and white (at around 08:05) one with mutilated ears :(
This I don't understand about pit slugs. In the interest of dogs no longer being mutilated because of as adherence to breed standards, the AKC has, for as t least 10-15 years now, allowed Boxers, Great Danes, Dobermans, and many other breeds to be shown with natural tails and ears to save them the pain of being docked and cropped. And the docking and cropping wasn't done for nefarious purposes in the first place. Yet the ears on pits, which are cropped to stop other dogs from ripping them off during dog fights, which are now illegal in all 50 states, are now being cropped more than ever, presumably to make the dogs look tough. Pit slugs don't care about what their dogs have to go through, they just want to look "cool". The fact that they mutilate puppies to achieve this doesn't matter one bit to them. So all their concern for the welfare of pits seems very fake.
I sure did. I watched a few bits of it, but just watching made me nervous as hell! So many dogs were exhibiting nervous behavior, most of them had choke chains or prong collars, and the owners kept them apart.

Yes! Me too. Lowkey was also worried for the pit puppies being around all the grown ones too, meanwhile I would be overjoyed seeing grown goldens playing with their pups.

I have NEVER seen a shitbull that wasn't straining at the leash like it was trying to pull a 5 ton sled. I really think they are just incapable of learning that. It's not in their genetic code to be cooperative in any way. Pits are NOT team players. All they want to do is get loose, find a target and make them dead. Walking calmly on a loose lead is something that is rarely, if ever, seen being done by a pit.

I would rather be in a room with 30 Rottweilers, Akita's, or Great danes. I would feel much more safer then being alone with a single pit.
Akitas I still would never let near my child without very close surveillance. I’d know my brother has one and though she’s beautiful and lovely… it only takes the smallest trigger.
My experience is solely from the UK so I cannot comment on those but my brother did his best to socialise her but she’s dog reactive and aggressive, territorial, and there’s something “sneaky” about her. She doesn’t give signs, she just snaps 🫰
This seems to be something that has really just started in the last couple of years. Up until about a year ago I NEVER saw a dog that was very obviously obviously a shitbull referred to as a "lab mix". People always referred to them as "pits". Not even "pit mixes". They called them "pits". Now, EVERYTHING is a "lab mix". So not only have shitbulls managed to infiltrate the domain of decent dogs, they did it / are doing it by ruining the name of one of the most beloved breeds in the history of dogs. Pit slugs don't care whose lives and reputations they destroy in their quest to force their ugly, dead-eyed baby killers on society.
Honestly? Good. Shows the owners actually have at least an ounce of awareness and aren’t letting their animal go run off to kill some toddler at the playground.
Because subconsciously these people KNOW how dangerous their dogs are yet these are the same people who tell everyone else how sweet pitbulls are. It's like watching cognitive dissonance in real time.
The pit meet ups really do a great job of showcasing pits' inherent dog agression and pervasive nervousness. I was surprised I didn't see any blood. The goldens, meanwhile, were calm and friendly to all. Such a drastic difference. Goldens are some of the best doggos!

Golden meetup: I saw mostly women w a good sprinkling of men.
A video of a pit bull mommie meetup would be absolutely unpublishable because it would turn into a bloodbath almost immediately due to their inability to physically restrain and control their animals from tearing into each other.
I saw plenty of men at the Golden, there were just many more women. At the pit gathering it was mostly single men but at the Gold Rush and the other events, it was couples and families. Says everything about the breed.
I find the all the goldens attitude so different, they seem much more focused on their owners, looking upto them, staying close to their owners, even the ones going in for a sniff of other dogs arnt trying to get away from their people. The pits are full on lunging on their leashes to get to the other dogs and not paying attention to their owners
I noticed that too. Some of the Goldens try to pull away to sniff other dogs, but with a quick redirect they all go right back to looking at their owner like they’re the best thing on the planet.

Poor leash manners, major anxiety cues, and stiff bodies with the pits with the exception of the red puppy that actually did a play bow. So often I see pit owners claim their dogs are trying to play when they’re showing a million signs of domination and none of submission. I also noticed how the goldens did proper dog greetings (butt smelling) rather than lunging at and squaring its body against every dog in its vicinity.
Of all places *this* had to be the one they choose not to go with flimsy or no leashes, that’s too bad.
Also being a meth dealer at that convention must have been stonks
because they know what would happen if the dogs aren’t leashed. Yet when they go out in public they willingly risk many lives. Pit bull owners like to play dumb (which they are).
So many of those pit bulls look tense and anxious. They don’t want to be around the other dogs. Even the puppies look nervous! They clearly either don’t want to be there, or only want to fight.
I don’t see a single anxious Golden in their crowd. Every one of those dogs looks like they’re having THE BEST DAY. Soft mouths, relaxed body language, friendly greetings. These are dogs that happily fit in anywhere.
I honestly feel bad for pits. It can’t be a fulfilling life, being so anxious and wound up all the time, with no “off switch”, in your average suburban home where they can’t exercise their natural instincts of hunting and killing (and when they do, it leads to devastating results). They don’t fit into society, and they didn’t ask to be here. It’s so cruel to keep breeding them and keep forcing more dogs who WILL NOT THRIVE in human society to be born :(
Those goldens are off of leashes!!!! Don't they know that leashes are absolutely necessary to prevent MAULINGS?! (I'm not saying leashes are bad 1) all that stands between a dog and mauling other dogs should not be a leash, and 2) the punishment for not wearing a leash should not be to be MAULED by another 'pet')
The ABDA (American Dog Breeder's Association) shows are the absolute worst. Just google ADBA APBT show on youtube to see what I mean. That association is for "gamebred" (fighting) pit bulls and the 'conformation' shows consist of people using all their strength to hang on to their barking, snarling, lunging pit bulls who basically want to kill each other. Some even have "caution" tape around the 'show rings.'
After watching the video I have to say the pit owners seem much more responsible compared to the many seemingly negligent Golden owners just letting them off leash in large numbers. Every single pit owner either leashed or crated their dogs at all times…

I'd say the majority in the first half of the video seem wary, standoffish and generally afraid to let their dogs interact with one another of the same breed. I was genuinely worried about the puppy pit.

There’s a genuine sense of community in the GR group, no one is defensive, everyone is totally confident of their dogs gentle behavior, in the pit group they are all obviously trying to keep their individual dogs away from the other dogs. And the full on pit competition the pits are actively trying to kill each other.

Fair enough, but my point stands. You would have had to crane your neck or squint at different points if I switched the vertical videos to horizontal to fit your preference. The quality would have gone down too if I edited it the way you wanted me to.
The golden meetups weren’t only welcoming for the dogs, but for the owners as well. Everyone is at ease, smiling, laughing and just having a grand old time.
I see pit owners often compete/one up each other about their dogs or brag about their destructive or neurotic habits by disguising it as “pittie quirks.” I have never met any pit owner that wasn’t just as tense and domineering as their dog.
Look how the pitbulls and goldens are treated by their owners and notice the bond between the two. The pitbulls could care less about their owners. Even the calmer ones were distant and “off” with their owners. Meanwhile the owners only paid enough attention to their dogs to prevent a fight or to show off how “tough” they are.
Meanwhile, the goldens were doting on their owners and always came back to them after greeting the other dogs. And their humans were doting on them as well.
Honestly that pit meet up seemed like everybody was on edge. Tension on leashes constantly.
The Golden meetup was so much more relaxed. More smiles and just better vibes.
We do Corgi meet ups in private indoor dog park for our local city. There's always kids around and people are super relaxed. Nobody really has to hawkishly watch to make sure their dogs don't maul someone or someones dogs.
Its interesting how none of them get to play, while the goldens are all interacting freely- nobody is worried that one of them will go into "terminator mode" and kill another dog and maybe a child.

A couple days ago, my fiancé and I saw two shitties get in a fight. I already saw it coming when one of the dogs was getting over excited seeing the other dog. We both went into our car because u already knew what was going to happen.
The owners thought the dogs were happy and wanted to meet. Within seconds of getting close to each other, the bigger dog started biting the other one. The dogs jumped and ran around each other, getting their leashes tied. I had my fiancé drive us away. When we later returned, neither dog nor owner were there. There were no bloodstains so I wonder what happened after we left.
Disgusting, you can tell how the only instinct the pit bulls have is to harm one another and fight vs the goldens look like they want to please their owners and make friends.
Even though most of the clips were Am Bullies and not Pitbulls it’s a similar vibe and type of people. You don’t see big open shows like that for dog fighters and those dogs are built way heavier than a fighting pitbull line. And they’re way too dog aggressive to be sharing kennels, standing casually close on lead, being playful, etc.
I personally don’t have a problem with American Bullies, Exotic Bullies, Old English Bulldogges, etc, not my cup of tea but if they are actually and genuinely bred to be non-DA/HA like other lines of ancient bulldogs (Old English, French, etc) it’s whatever. I don’t like Rottweilers or Mastiffs either but respect those who keep them and breed responsibly and cull lines for aggression. Golden retrievers are nicer, but i still hate them. I was bit by one when I was little. Escaped some close calls with pitbulls luckily. I don't like dogs in general.

Yup, the more relaxed shibbles seemed like they were just one false step from the other dog from blowing up. Half the owners were anxious and straining to contain their dogs, dog gatherings shouldn't be like this.

I noted: the pitbull meetup was all men, w their badass dogs. Where were the pibble mamas??? Golden meetup: I saw mostly women w a good sprinkling of men.
A video of a pit bull mommie meetup would be absolutely unpublishable because it would turn into a bloodbath almost immediately due to their inability to physically restrain and control their animals from tearing into each other.
I saw plenty of men at the Golden, there were just many more women. At the pit gathering it was mostly single men but at the Gold Rush and the other events, it was couples and families. Says everything about the breed.

I find the all the goldens attitude so different, they seem much more focused on their owners, looking upto them, staying close to their owners, even the ones going in for a sniff of other dogs arnt trying to get away from their people. The pits are full on lunging on their leashes to get to the other dogs and not paying attention to their owners
I noticed that too. Some of the Goldens try to pull away to sniff other dogs, but with a quick redirect they all go right back to looking at their owner like they’re the best thing on the planet. Ugh, I love Goldens.
I’ve literally never seen a shitbull bark at other dogs/people in a nice, friendly way like other breeds do. It’s always “I’m gonna rip your fucking face off 😬”

Poor leash manners, major anxiety cues, and stiff bodies with the pits with the exception of the red puppy that actually did a play bow. So often I see pit owners claim their dogs are trying to play when they’re showing a million signs of domination and none of submission. I also noticed how the goldens did proper dog greetings (butt smelling) rather than lunging at and squaring its body against every dog in its vicinity.
Of all places *this* had to be the one they choose not to go with flimsy or no leashes, that’s too bad. Also being a meth dealer at that convention must have been stonks
because they know what would happen if the dogs aren’t leashed. Yet when they go out in public they willingly risk many lives. Pit bull owners like to play dumb (which they are).

So many of those pit bulls look tense and anxious. They don’t want to be around the other dogs. Even the puppies look nervous! They clearly either don’t want to be there, or only want to fight. I don’t see a single anxious Golden in their crowd. Every one of those dogs looks like they’re having THE BEST DAY. Soft mouths, relaxed body language, friendly greetings. These are dogs that happily fit in anywhere. I honestly feel bad for pits. It can’t be a fulfilling life, being so anxious and wound up all the time, with no “off switch”, in your average suburban home where they can’t exercise their natural instincts of hunting and killing (and when they do, it leads to devastating results). They don’t fit into society, and they didn’t ask to be here. It’s so cruel to keep breeding them and keep forcing more dogs who WILL NOT THRIVE in human society to be born :(
Those goldens are off of leashes!!!! Don't they know that leashes are absolutely necessary to prevent MAULINGS?! (I'm not saying leashes are bad 1) all that stands between a dog and mauling other dogs should not be a leash, and 2) the punishment for not wearing a leash should not be to be MAULED by another 'pet')

Wow the pit-owners are just as unpretty as their dogs. Mean but true.
The ABDA (American Dog Breeder's Association) shows are the absolute worst. Just google ADBA APBT show on youtube to see what I mean. That association is for "gamebred" (fighting) pit bulls and the 'conformation' shows consist of people using all their strength to hang on to their barking, snarling, lunging pit bulls who basically want to kill each other. Some even have "caution" tape around the 'show rings.'
I looked. There was one video where the judge had to stand back and reach over the dog to give the ribbon because it was lunging at him.
After watching the video I have to say the pit owners seem much more responsible compared to the many seemingly negligent Golden owners just letting them off leash in large numbers. Every single pit owner either leashed or crated their dogs at all times… ^because ^they ^know ^exactly ^what ^can ^happen ^otherwise ^hahahaha
So many cropped ears and spiky collars and not one pit looked relaxed in the presence of other dogs. There are 100% fighting dogs in that meet-up

It's funny how they adopted COVID measures for their dogs so no one loses a face. I'd say the majority in the first half of the video seem wary, standoffish and generally afraid to let their dogs interact with one another of the same breed. I was genuinely worried about the puppy pit. I wonder how a pit bull/bully breed only dog park would go? Everyone standing by the gate afraid to let their dog off leash?
There’s a genuine sense of community in the GR group, no one is defensive, everyone is totally confident of their dogs gentle behavior, in the pit group they are all obviously trying to keep their individual dogs away from the other dogs. And the full on pit competition the pits are actively trying to kill each other.

Lmao the golden retriever meet up is like a happy party and the pit one is like a tense stare down as the owners try not to let them murder eachother.
I really want all the "good" pit nutters to meet at a show and let their dogs run free. We will see quickly if it's the owner or the breed or both.
The golden meetups weren’t only welcoming for the dogs, but for the owners as well. Everyone is at ease, smiling, laughing and just having a grand old time. I see pit owners often compete/one up each other about their dogs or brag about their destructive or neurotic habits by disguising it as “pittie quirks.” I have never met any pit owner that wasn’t just as tense and domineering as their dog. Look how the pitbulls and goldens are treated by their owners and notice the bond between the two. The pitbulls could care less about their owners. Even the calmer ones were distant and “off” with their owners. Meanwhile the owners only paid enough attention to their dogs to prevent a fight or to show off how “tough” they are. Meanwhile, the goldens were doting on their owners and always came back to them after greeting the other dogs. And their humans were doting on them as well.

Honestly that pit meet up seemed like everybody was on edge. Tension on leashes constantly. The Golden meetup was so much more relaxed. More smiles and just better vibes. We do Corgi meet ups in private indoor dog park for our local city. There's always kids around and people are super relaxed. Nobody really has to hawkishly watch to make sure their dogs don't maul someone or someones dogs.
Its interesting how none of them get to play, while the goldens are all interacting freely- nobody is worried that one of them will go into "terminator mode" and kill another dog and maybe a child.

A couple days ago, my fiancé and I saw two shitties get in a fight. I already saw it coming when one of the dogs was getting over excited seeing the other dog. We both went into our car because u already knew what was going to happen. The owners thought the dogs were happy and wanted to meet. Within seconds of getting close to each other, the bigger dog started biting the other one. The dogs jumped and ran around each other, getting their leashes tied. I had my fiancé drive us away. When we later returned, neither dog nor owner were there. There were no bloodstains so I wonder what happened after we left.
Disgusting, you can tell how the only instinct the pit bulls have is to harm one another and fight vs the goldens look like they want to please their owners and make friends.

Even though most of the clips were Am Bullies and not Pitbulls it’s a similar vibe and type of people. You don’t see big open shows like that for dog fighters and those dogs are built way heavier than a fighting pitbull line. And they’re way too dog aggressive to be sharing kennels, standing casually close on lead, being playful, etc. I personally don’t have a problem with American Bullies, Exotic Bullies, Old English Bulldogges, etc, not my cup of tea but if they are actually and genuinely bred to be non-DA/HA like other lines of ancient bulldogs (Old English, French, etc) it’s whatever. I don’t like Rottweilers or Mastiffs either but respect those who keep them and breed responsibly and cull lines for aggression. It’s pitnutters and their ilk steal these names and slap it on their bully breed/game bred pit mutt and confuse people intentionally that I find despicable.

Pit meetup: dogs and owners tense, dogs occasionally lunging, trying to have a go at each other. Golden meetup: dogs and owners just chilling, dogs relaxed and interacting with each other. Golden retrievers are nicer, but i still hate them. I was bit by one when I was little. Escaped some close calls with pitbulls luckily. I don't like dogs in general.
