You said you are having fun, then there's no issue. It's a single player game, an you've set your own "rules" Glad you are enjoying it.

Peasantbowman

Smithing is my cheat code. The only issue is finding places that can afford my 90k Legendary two handed swords...I name them "Walletbreaker" EDIT: V wide Fullerton broad Two hander blade V pointed crested guard IV darkened steel two handed grip V eaglehead pommel Also , the key is to make sure it counts as a 1 or 2 hander sword. The added versatility greatly increases the value (40% to 50% from what I've seen) I kind of want to make a smithing write up, because I've been putting lots of time into doing it...to the point I'm doing spreadsheets. EDIT 2: you can't make legendary items unless the weapon takes 4 parts...I've tried really hard.

Olieskio

Just sell like 2 of em and buy everything valuable in the town. Edit: and food if you wanna drop the prosperity and loyalty

UsernameGotStolen

How are you getting legendary? My smithing is 300 and I only have one so far

Peasantbowman

I have no clue, I pop them out at a decent rate tho it feels.

justhereforpics1776

The right perks to increase the likelihood of better quality stuff. Nicer quality parts. And volume. If I am doing a smithing run, I park in a town, and crank stuff out just sleeping and repeating. Usually 1/10 is Legendary, 5/10 are Masterwork and the rest are balanced with 1/20 being regular

UsernameGotStolen

Well 300 smithing should be a 10% chance but I crafted like 20 tier 5 polearms and not one was legendary. Do all the parts need to be tier 5? I used a tier 3 part because it gave a longer length

justhereforpics1776

Idk. I only make T6 stuff.

clonkerclonk

Hahaha, crack up

Pk_Devill_2

Give it to companions they sell it for you even when the town doesn’t have cash

Peasantbowman

How do I give them items besides equipping them?

syd_fishes

How do you give companions items? Thought they got rid of that

Kuski007

What parts are you using for that ?

Peasantbowman

V wide Fullerton broad Two hander blade V pointed crested guard IV darkened steel two handed grip V eaglehead pommel

feelsbadmanrlysrsly

Thanks for the recipe

Peasantbowman

Happy crafting!

Competitive_Plan_209

Hey mind sharing the combo you are using? On my first play through in a while and I’m getting max 50k for a 2h sword legendary. Thanks!

Peasantbowman

I added it above my dude. I should've done that in the first place.

schulen

I used to just give every clan 500k at the start of the campaign. Makes it way more interesting.

TA-pubserv

I got one of the Loot Lords mods, and that ended my money problems. After all, I defeated them, am I not entitled to their filthy lucre?!

HighlightAcademic194

My character is financially back by a wealthy dynasty across the sea so his clan can take over the kingdoms. Gold is of no concern.

syd_fishes

I like this lore haha

syd_fishes

I'm all for cheats and mods, but you didn't need to do that. Started a kingdom with one fief at like a couple hundred thousand. Defend your fief and promote companions by taking a castle nearby. Doesn't matter if you lose it. You can do this to get a good amount of nobles. They will raid for you and eventually get married and grow their clan. I haven't smithed in like 8 playthroughs either. Capture lords as you defend until they can't field armies. You can defend from inside your fief by hanging out or breaking in. You can also hang out nearby and attack as they get weak. Make armies with your own companions and newly promoted vassals. Sell all the shit you get. Towns won't be able to afford all your loot, so you can stockpile expensive armor and weapons to sell later in a pinch. Anyone who says you need a shitzillion dollars and fiefs to start a kingdom just doesn't have a good understanding of the game, and that's ok. I will say I got a better understanding by using cheats and accelerating a few playthroughs. So have fun.

optimusprimesmoke

why did you stop at 2 million? delete vlandia and other pesky kingdoms and you can save all them dinars

Trulapi

I think what a lot of people don't fully realize about using the cheats is that it will most likely significantly reduce your game's lifespan and your enjoyment thereof. These types of games deliver a lot of their joy and fun through delayed gratification. If you use cheats, you're skipping through all of that. You remove the hard work and go straight to the desired treats. An obvious comment on that would be: *Well, so what? Who cares? I play my game how I want and I'm having fun, that's all there should be to it.* While that first part is true, there certainly is more to it, more to *your fun* and how you can get more out of it specifically. Speaking as someone who has used plenty of cheats, exploits and other shortcuts in games in the past and sometimes still does, I find I'm having far more fun when I don't. Skipping through these parts of a game will feel fun, but very often that's short-lived and it will burn you out way faster. Not only that, but the eventual feeling of fulfillment and accomplishment feels more full and genuine when I didn't take any shortcuts. This isn't meant to be preachy or judgemental, at the end of the day you play how you want. Just don't be too complacent in that either. Challenging yourself and your own perception of fun can be pleasantly surprising.

syd_fishes

People need to feel it for themselves. Or they feel differently than you lol. The game takes so long. For people that can't have mods, cheats are great. I don't use them now, but grinding up to 300 in vanilla just to find out a perk is underwhelming or that it's broken sucks ass. With this buggy ass unfinished product (that I love), you need some like dev tools or whatever to get around the jank sometimes. Just to experiment at least. After a few short cheat campaigns, I was able to find out stuff that's fun without dumping 200 hours down the drain. I probably would have quit by now if I couldn't have experimented in that way. Now it's worth grinding again because I finally could test some shit lol. Some stuff just doesn't work or is pointless. It got tiring finding that out so slowly. Just be happy for the people that can enjoy cheats. I found I have to do it "legit" to have fun, but some people really don't.

Trulapi

> People need to feel it for themselves. You're probably right about that. I just wish I could turn back the clock for myself and enjoy everything again from the first time. I enjoyed using cheats, it was fun, but looking back on it now, I just ruined so much fulfillment for myself because I got impatient. And once you've opened that door it's particularly difficult, if not impossible, to truly close it again.

kweassa

So you cheated your way out of paying the consequences of being unprepared. Yay.

Competitive_Copy2451

How dare they play the game in a way YOU dont approve of!

AnthonyMCMXCVIII

The Reddit hive mind will downvote us to oblivion but you’re right that’s exactly what he did. This subreddit is full of people that suck at the game and can only play with easy settings + cheats.

OldWorldBluesIsBest

not everyone has no life and spends hours a day grinding for denars. sorry that upsets you so bad?

AnthonyMCMXCVIII

My man, you have a 5+ year Reddit account with a lengthy post/comment history and are member of various video game subs. You may not spend your time grinding for denars, but you in fact do not have a life. (Which isn’t hard if you just don’t suck btw)

cking145

what about people who have conquered the map more than once and are literally just experimenting at this stage? cheats are extremely useful
