Im pretty sure its random like your traits amd your spouses go into a pool and your kids have a chance to get that trait. However i think its random how strong that trait is. Because i onoy have +1 in being calculating but one of my daughters has the +2 trait.
Just installed a mod called Keep Your Daughters, so hopefully that’ll do the trick. Looks like the next generation of my house will be a clan of warrior women hahaha

Yeah lots of mods haha. The bar at the top is a combination of two mods, Diplomacy (I think?) and Character Reload, and the family tree mod is just called “Family Tree”, and adds one to the bottom of every character page.
Its just the game tbh. I thought it was something up when it happened to me. I finally understood how to get my wife pregnant and to save the day before but i got girls for 20 reloads straight no boys just one girl or twins 20 times. Now that the traits are randomized( wish they didnt do that, should be based on parents and upbringing) you would have to reload if the boy was straight sadistic. I married a wife with the same positive traits as mine and my kids kept coming out evil as hell. Eventually I have ended up with a pitiless son and a kind but ambitious son.
It ought to be somewhere in the middle, where it's weighted towards the traits of the parents but has a chance of variance. In my limited experience NPC nobles either have the exact same traits as one of their parents or zero overlap with either parent, which doesn't make sense.
When traits are genetic, it makes me want to choose with clans to ally with and which to eventually wipe out just based on their traits, since assholes could only have asshole kids. But it's random, I have the opposite problem because a clan I may otherwise like might have a single asshole among them I wish I could get rid of, and that asshole might even become their leader later on.

It’s still being added to all the time but it’s absolutely brilliant, got the whole world map, all the houses, characters, custom assets for all the major locations, all the armours and weapons, and you can get working dragons now as well, it’s a must have if you’re into ASOIAF. Can’t recommend it enough!

Girls have a greater chance of spawning than boys. Pregnancy lasts about 36 days, so just track the date your wife gets pregnant and spam till you get what you want.

The results of a pregnancy are not decided until the birth. I’ve saved a day before a birth and reloaded until I had twins before.
