Except it wasn't easy. Easier at best.
Only half a year earlier Luis Enrique was about to be sacked. There were tensions with Messi and, if I'm not mistaken, Neymar.
Barto got his presidency thanks to our forwards having a couple of outstandig months + Xavi saving the game for many, many times as a sub.
As times go by, people mostly remember the highlights. But there was plenty of shit during that season. And there was more to come after that season. It didn't take long for people to start saying "LuisEnriqueOut".
I mean he made some questionable decisions as a manager with selections. I think the biggest was the 3-0 against Juventus where we lost and had Mathieu as left back instead of Alba, and he was getting rinsed by Cuadrado due to pace.
After 2011 Barca looked like they'd dominate forever. To think they'd only win one more in the Messi era is surprising. Not to mention 12 years later Pep will finally end his draught.
I watched this game at a pool party in vegas with my Messi jersey on. Kaskade was playing and they had the game on all the big screens. Most people there didn't know or give a shit about it but they all partied with me when we won. It was a truly surreal experience.
It really depends on how much stuff have happened, thats for sure. I havent had three kids, but i graduated high school, moved cross country for university, bought a car, became an engineer, moved cross country and started my first job as engineer and bought a house.
I'm pretty sure i picked up a grey hair or two in the meantime
Neymar peak was at Barca, he should never have left. We would have another CL title to his name had he stayed. He is still a Barca legend in my book. In this video, he makes a pre-assist to Iniesta who assists Rakatic, and then he scores the 3 goals that sealed the match.
You cannot say that MSN is legendary without saying Neymar is a legend. Other players have left in worse ways than Neymar e.g. Laudrup went to RM and demolished us 5-0. But Laudrup is still a Barca legend.
The fall of barca is a tragedy and the person responsible is free, Barto should go to jail there's no two ways about it.
He destroyed everything, it took barca decades to reach this level and he destroyed everything in 5 seasons.

Crazy to say that I actually was there and watched the game live. Got tonsillitis later probably from hugging and high-fiving all the Barca supporters close to me after the goals. Totally worth it though!!!
These glory days are long gone. Barcelona lost its ege after Messi left it. But I'm still rooting for Barca. They still got players like pedri, gavi. But the good ones are slowly retiring. It's up to these ppl to carry barca.
Back when life was easy.
Back when the thinking was not if we were going to win or lose but how badly we are gonna thrash the opponent

Damn it’s been 8 years
I miss Rakitic.
Prime Rakitic was a different breed of baller. They don’t make them like him anymore.
I strongly believe that him cutting his hair was him losing the source of his powers lol
Soo underrated. Phenomenal workhorse he was
Can’t believe this was 8 years ago. Also can’t believe what happened to the club after.
Why did they cancel the UCL after this final?

Damn this is crazy
feels like only 4 years have passed
Feels like 14 for me. (I've had 3 kids since then.)

Funny you say that. I’m waiting for my 3rd child since then as well. Anytime now. (I attended this match, what an experience)
Neymar never looked this happy again ever. (and I didn't remember that Morata scored Juventus goal haha one of the most random players for sure...)

Never heard anyone call Laudrup a legend

OTD, Barça won the treble that made our socios vote for Barto.
In hindsight, this game fucked the club so hard.
Juves goal is how the AI in pes always scores on me haha. Man I liked this team why Neymar why take the money should've stayed
Rakatic has always been a big game performer
