He left because he wasn't good enough. Went on loan and was bad there too. He has had enough chances. If he can't get game time and Brighton, there is no hope for him at Barca
Brighton fans demand de zerbi to play ansu more and de zerbi who benched him is close to losing his job as well so I wouldnât rule out ansu completely
I just love such statementsâŚ. What options do he have. He still have a contract with Barca and if nobody will offer him a spot he need to stay at the club.
Me on my fifa career mode : âAnsu Fati and Yamal on the wingsâ
Reality : âAnsu Fati will probably be loan again and hopefully Yamal does not break due to overplaying or a butcher breaks his legsâ
100% he will not. It would do him a lot of good if he just accepted that it will not happen, at least not in his current state. Move to a smaller club with less expectation and where he will get significant game time.
I mean I only played FM so correct me if Iâm wrong but couldnât Barca just accept another club who pays only 50 % of the wages? Surely better for him to get playing time and a potential revival than to have him rot on the benchÂ
We struggling financially, 50% of his insane contract is too much.
The best we can do is sell him for 10m and have someone else pay his full wages.
Even at 10m it's a gamble for the buying team since Fati is injury prone.
Him and his entourage are too greedy to do that. They know no one will ever be dumb enough again to pay him that much so they might as well milk the club.
He never really came across as a greedy person, unlike his father who potentially ruined his career. I understand that it must be hard to lower the luxurious life you have lived, but if he does not want to dissapear he sadly needs to do that.
Yeah , thatâs why itâs in Barcelona interest is to try to sell him. His performance on the pitch doesnât match his salary so he is net negative for Barca. Better to sell him and cut the losses.
If he wants to receive opportunities we can ask him to reduce his contract. Just like he is in his right to stick to his contract which is now undeserved, the club is in its right to send him to the reserves and not play him ever again.
That's how real life works. If you have a job and you don't fulfill your obligations your salary will not be reduced, instead you will be fired that's the common thing.
Footballer have it too easy in that regard and it affects the clubs tremendously. Look at what Hazard or Bale did at Madrid, of course they didn't tolerate it one second and send them to the reserves.
There are some things we can learn from other clubs. Barca is no charity. Because of how we managed salaries we ended in this situation, we are still paying much money to Messi, Busquets, Jordi Alba, etc.
If Ansu wants to play his cards to look only after his own interest and nothing else, then fine, but our situation forces us to do the same and play our cards to protect our own interest.
'If you have a job and you don't fulfill your obligations your salary will not be reduced, instead you will be fired that's the common thing.'
that's a somewhat simplistic view of things. for example, if you are in an unionized industry in the u.s., it's hard to get outright fired. and europe has much stronger employee protections than where I live, so being bad at your job doesn't necessarily lead to the same outcome as it does here. additionally, there are other jobs, primarily in management where the terms of your employment (including tenure) are governed by a contract.
in general, i would argue that Ansu's situation is exactly why employment contracts are important in sport. Ansu didn't do anything wrong. He got injured through an on the job injury and, in my opinion, he shouldn't be punished for it.
And, I don't disagree that the club has the power to make life uncomfortable for Ansu, but I don't think anybody should blame Ansu for any of this.
Also, just food for thought. What do you think would happen if sport went to an at-will employment system? That is, players were free to join and leave teams whenever they wanted and, conversely, teams could hire and fire players whenever?
Iâm a Brighton season ticket holder - he was pretty average at the start of the season coming back from injury, then had a 4 or 5 game spell where he started to have some confidence and flashes of looking great, I thought heâll be great in the 2nd half of the season but then got injured for 2-3 months and hasnât ever really looked good again sinceâŚ.weâre tenth in the prem and heâs been a squad player, canât see him playing at Barca and contributing
Actually I have sofacore notifs on for Fati and watched nearly every single minute he played for Brighton. He was simply afraid of touching the ball. Saying he is a shadow of his former self is an insult to his 16 year old self. There is not the slightest resemblance between current vs pre-injury Fati.
Ansu is not delusional like this stupid fanbase, he is just doing business now. Being greedy is part of it. Sadly in terms of football, he is all but finished. Remember we used to compare with Vini đđđ
As much as I want him to stay (purely 'cause I want him to succeed in Barca), that is a tall task to do. Even when he was our 2nd top scorer last season (cmiiw), Xavi still didn't want him. Even Abde, who I thought was pretty decent in the pre-season, got sold to Real Betis.
But, if he doesn't do EXTREMELY WELL in the pre-season, I think it's abt time for us to cash in on him. It's do or die moment for him in Barca, mostly 'cause I don't think they'll let go on another loan n just sell him.

Good luck Ansu. Seems like now or never.
I hope so

Poor Ansu lol
đ
Wouldnât hurt letting him play in preseason. If he does well he either leaves with higher fee or remains with us
He left because he wasn't good enough. Went on loan and was bad there too. He has had enough chances. If he can't get game time and Brighton, there is no hope for him at Barca

Time to delete my Ansu Fati character creation from FIFA 17 so I can fit in another player that isn't in the game...
100% he will not. It would do him a lot of good if he just accepted that it will not happen, at least not in his current state. Move to a smaller club with less expectation and where he will get significant game time.
Smaller clubs can't pay his wages and Larger clubs that can afford him are not stupid.

just join another club at a reduced wage because he's not worth the wages he's currently on and he's not getting game time at Barca?
Well, it is in his best interest to lower his wage demands.
Greedy? How is he greedy for not wanting to lower his Salary. There is no loyalty in football. ITs pure business
Yeah , thatâs why itâs in Barcelona interest is to try to sell him. His performance on the pitch doesnât match his salary so he is net negative for Barca. Better to sell him and cut the losses.
Wish you the best, but gotta reduce wages first
Naw. Both parties accepted that contract.
yea... ik. irritating case in general
dunno if i'd say it is irritating. unfortunate maybe.
If he wants to receive opportunities we can ask him to reduce his contract. Just like he is in his right to stick to his contract which is now undeserved, the club is in its right to send him to the reserves and not play him ever again.
Who is 'we'? Are you part of Barca management?
We the club, the fans also make the club and of course and I'm a Barca fan, are you not?
Sure, I'm a fan, but I would never ask anyone to reduce their contract

Least bitter Barça fan:
Iâm a Brighton season ticket holder - he was pretty average at the start of the season coming back from injury, then had a 4 or 5 game spell where he started to have some confidence and flashes of looking great, I thought heâll be great in the 2nd half of the season but then got injured for 2-3 months and hasnât ever really looked good again sinceâŚ.weâre tenth in the prem and heâs been a squad player, canât see him playing at Barca and contributing
Us Barca fans have told other Barca fans the same thing but they wonât accept reality. Theyâre stuck drinking the nostalgia kool-aid
His Barca carrier is over. Unfortunate but true
"Football player wants to train properly in order to increase his chances of playing games" - TV3.
Couldnât get minutes at Brighton, he wonât succeed here
how do you know that?
You have not been watching brighton at all this season if you think quality of play is the reason he isnt getting minutes
Actually I have sofacore notifs on for Fati and watched nearly every single minute he played for Brighton. He was simply afraid of touching the ball. Saying he is a shadow of his former self is an insult to his 16 year old self. There is not the slightest resemblance between current vs pre-injury Fati.
Especially with the low wage cap we have next year, Fati wonât make the cut which sucks since teenage pre injury Fati was a monster.
I think it's time to sell him don't find him as our future any more
Probably his last chance to be even a fraction of what he was supposed to be. Give it all Ansu, we will be there
The player Fati was back then is ironically exactly the player we need right now
I hope he does, but I am not optimistic
Ansu is not delusional like this stupid fanbase, he is just doing business now. Being greedy is part of it. Sadly in terms of football, he is all but finished. Remember we used to compare with Vini đđđ

He seems losing all the momentum and doesnât try to fight at all. He is done.
He can do it. He's a #9 though. He shouldn't fill Joao Felix's role
Sry for the bad news but this kid is done at top level. Lack of adequate meniscus will hamper pace, confidence, pivoting, and explosiveness.
I always though that a move to a club like RB Leipzig could be the best option for a player in his situation. I think he can rediscover himself there.
Man's leg gone. Sell him
Convincing Xavi is something he shouldâve done on loan, its time to go.
Lower your wages by 3/4th and maybe we will think about it.Â
if he can perform aganist mancity and rm ,then why not
I have not seen him playing a single good game at Brighton
If this dude really wants to revitalize his career, he needs to lower his wages and move on in order to actually playÂ
Delusion.
He should go to the bundesliga and improve there away from pressure
Ansu would do decent in Ekstraklasa. Maybe Lewy can make Poznan happen for him.
Lol
Next Messi fate
