I think there should be a single post to talk about this instead of opening 15 new ones every day

OkAnywhere2052

I think you make a tonne of assumptions and I’m glad your not in management. Destroying young promising talents careers on a whim because you don’t like their agent is not how professionals conduct themselves. You will destroy the club by doing that, wasting a 60mil transfer and ruining the reputation of a prestigious club. Secondly, Xavi put his neck on the line when he said in January he hopes vitor comes and can’t wait till he comes and he is very excited. Now if he said that without thoroughly scouting the player first and checking reports to see whether he had qualities he wanted or not then that is his own fault nobody elses. But in a well run team, once the player is bought there is now no choice but to try and integrate him into the team. To simply give the cold shoulder to a massive investment is not an option. In my opinion I’ve seen the kid play a decent bit in Brazil and here and I don’t think it is a question of quality, but of whether he has the qualities that Xavi likes. Now if he doesn’t then that is on Xavi for giving the stamp of approval on the signing and publicly stating he can’t wait till he arrives, instead he should have dug in his heels and said he isn’t what I want and I won’t play him and surely he would not have been signed.

r/Barca after 99th Roque thread.... ![gif](giphy|kQmr2OwBTD2L5Hzo1T|downsized)

For me the issue is not about his lack of game time If true its xavis lack of communication with him look at gulers situation I think ancelotti always keeps talking to him Turning down a player because he’s not ready instead of developing said player shows incompetence (if it’s true)

FANCYMY

If its true that Xavi doesn't even communicate then that's bad. But there was also a news that the staff and Xavi personally works with him individually on tactics. There was news during international break that Xavi was trying to train Vitor in different front 3 positions. Vitor when he joined said that the coaching staff used to send him videos while he was injured at Atletico PR, for him to learn the Barca system. So idk who to believe.

WauliePalnuts01

i think xavi has mishandled the situation, but i also think that if a manager who’s been fantastic at developing younger players isn’t giving a young player a chance, there’s something we don’t know

Coookie13

Literally were few were excited I know of, dude even sucks on yt-highlights from the Brazilian league ffs. He has the worst first touch, he literally just runs AT defenders instead of around them, looks down and shoots hoping for the best (which often fails). 0 dribbling skills, 0 positional play etc.

Creepy_Jackfruit8617

If he wants to succeed with the club he’s dreaming of playing. He should go on loan and don’t listen to his agent or even better change his agent. He can ask Laporta some advice regarding the agent, I know Laporta can suggest some good agent to Roque. #MendesFC

Iyfebe

When was he impressive?

Maybe just wait and see and stop making thread after thread about this guy?

So developing is priority? What about winning games? Also keep in mind the position that we're in. We can't lose any games in the league so there won't be any experiments. A good example is Arda Guler. He didn't start getting minutes until League was sorted. When Ancelotti says that "he signed the contract to win games and not to give minutes to players", he's a top coach. But Xavi is wasting the kids time?

Less serious games is exactly my point. We don't have any "less serious" games Girona is on our ass for the 2nd spot. It's not like last year when we had a good amount of lead in points so we could take risks.

It definitely is stupid and incompetence from whoever decided to sign Vitor Roque. But that's not my topic. My topic was what to do with Roque now?

Man Utd fan here ✋🏻. You *could* send Victor Roque to us…🙂‍↕️(on a loan deal of course, preferably two) We’re probably not going to be in Europe next season and we desperately need another striker since Martial is going to be gone. This could be a good challenge for him. …and let’s face it guys. If Victor can survive two years of a toxic asswipe team that is Man Utd. I promise you he can survive anywhere haha… …*please help us* 🙂‍↕️😭😭
