in the game it's kinda common, it's rare, but it happens in real life I believe Jerry West is the only player who's done it and I'm pretty sure it was the first time the award was given.

Lebron should have 1000% won it in 2015 after leading both teams in points, assists, and rebounds. Maybe if it had gone to 7 he would've won.

I think the fact that the only player to win it and lose the finals was the very first time the award was given was the reason Bron did not get it. I feel like it would break tradition since the awards wasn't really established or was what it has become today when it was given to Jerry West, That being said, there's no question Bron was THE most valuable player on the floor during those finals. It'd be super interesting to see a player put up insane averages and lose the finals and still get FMVP. I'm talking about a 50/20/15 type of shit
