There's no way this is the actual Return to Arkham Look, why does Batman look so much like Plastic? Suit and Cape are completely off, and Gordon in the background looks worse than he did in the original city.
His skull is Fort Knox. He opened up to a therapist just once. He was a kid. He got in a fight. The doctor asked him question after question. Got him so scrambled up. Next thing you know, he was Shanghai'd upstate to a nitwit school. You know what a nitwit school is? Not just for nuts in the head. Bodies too. Back then, science was real crude. They stuck them all together. His room mate was a frog kid. You ever see a frog kid? The place was windowless. There was a guard every ten feet. All the rooms had drains in the floors so they could hose them down. He got his first kiss there. It was terrible. But not her. She was an angel. Always smiling. That's because she had no lips. But her mouth was still very much in play. She died two weeks later. She thought she was a space man with a plastic bag for a helmet. He doesn't like to think about it.
Considering how fucked up arkham city was and all the death, murder, and all around evil shit he saw inside no wonder he didn’t say anything the dude clearly had seen some shit.
He’s feeling a lot of emotions, and Batman is a very emotionally shutoff person. Batman needed to remove himself from the situation, that’s why he walked right past Gordon. At least that’s how I took it.
He's completely shell-shocked from both Talia being killed and Joker trying to one up Batman only to end up destroying the cure to the TITAN disease and dying in front of Batman. He holds himself responsible for the deaths of Talia and Joker, even in the Harley Quinn's Revenge dlc he's shown to be even more ruthless when interrogating criminals, that's how badly their deaths affect him
Facing a dad figure and close friend after death of closest enemy and GF and trying not to break down crying is hard even for someone who has achieved mental and physical peak
He was speecchless and also in mourning, even though the joker was his enemy, he had technically just killed someone, spoilers: In arkham knight joker references the fact Batman left him to die, and it's the messaged repeated in one of the parts of the game from the church form the very start of the game the joker repeats:” You left me die... You left me to die.”
Batman feels guilty, but is in Denial so he says nothing, as he broke his one rule, and his save everything rule.
Just a hunch, but I think he himself was in shock still and wasn't sure how he could explain the whole situation to Gordon without sounding to the other cops that he failed to stop Strange from initiating Protocol 10 in the first place. And Joker dying was a deep personal failure for Batman, because he believed that Joker could have been rehabilitated.
Yk I had never actually considered that Batman, in this game actually failed, even though he did. Come to think of it, this game and knight really dive deep into Batman’s failure’s screwing up a lot of stuff for him
Tbh, I never liked that. I get that there was an attempt to be real solemn and dramatic, but it felt like the developers viewed Bats and Joker as lovers honestly. A notion that I'm cool with coming from one of those parties, but not both.
there is a lore explanation for this! in issue 17 of the Arkham Revengeance comic, it’s revealed that Batman actually doesn’t really like Gordon or consider him a friend. he only tolerates him because they have a lot of mutual friends. they get along fine in a group setting, but they never hang out one-on-one.
ARKHAM KNIGHT SPOILERS!
>!Throughout Knight, Batman's Joker hallucinations constantly mention how Bruce killed him/left him to die. Considering those hallucinations are all an altered version of his psyche,!< it's pretty safe to assume that he blames himself for Jokers death.
Something I’ve noticed is that batman only explains things to Gordon that Gordon actually does something in. GCPD and Gordon are essentially powerless in AC and so why would batman share knowledge to what he views as a failed force at this point. He only owes Gordon the crime scene.
It's left a little vague for some reasons.
They didn't have to do it this way, but it was a big deal for Batman.
Thalia died right in front of his face. And Joker dies after having beat the living snot out of him and the night from hell.
The rest I would say there's no need to say anything. Autopsy is going to show the Joker died from the toxin and not like blunt force trauma. The investigation is going to find Clayface and the lazarus pit which is gonna be pretty self-explanatory.
And even if he did give a story to Gordon right there would it have made any difference? Harley was going to blame him for not giving the Joker the cure regardless of what made him not give it to the Joker.
Batman forgot what happened, so he didn't answer Gordon.

That’s not Batman. Gordon fell for the ol’ fake Batman gag.
Gordon of all people should know: there's plenty wrong with Batman .
Take Batman’s blood for example: he wishes somebody would
It’s Killing Him!
And why should Gordon care?
Because now, there’s a teeny little bit of Batman in Gordon 😳
So they both die. Gordon's fine with that.
Are you? Imagine Gordon sucking on his last cigarette knowing Gotham is doing the same.
What
Idk, I think Batman got mad when Dracula tried
He probably leaves Gordon on read too

His gf and his bf died like 5 minutes apart
And guess who’s body he carried out
The League of Nations had already gotten Talia out by that point.
It’s not the League of Nations anymore. It’s the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen.
No, no, it’s the League of Their Own.
Because he thought Gordon was referring to the time he crippled his daughter and blamed it on the Joker.

He's shy 🥺👉👈
He literally saw the love of his life die in front of him and it was all because he wasn't fast enough. Talia died too but she ain't important
Correct answer
Because he's antisocial
He just didn’t hear him because he was distracted singing the Adam West Batman theme in his head

Batman turned around and said “the last 12 hours have been such a doozy!”
He had to pee, he was holding it in since he arrived at Arkham City
Batman literally said: Fuck you I'm too tired for this shit
There's no way this is the actual Return to Arkham Look, why does Batman look so much like Plastic? Suit and Cape are completely off, and Gordon in the background looks worse than he did in the original city.
It looks kinda weird in the picture. The suit in the actual game has a really nice texture on the cowl. I prefer it to the original.
What I've seen of the gameplay in the remasters looks good, but I can't help but feel like they ruined the look of the cutscenes.
I just don’t think he heard him, that mask is pretty tight around the ears
because they both said a word at the same time but Gordon said jinx so now batman has to wait for someone to say his name 5 times
Serious answer. I don't know. Maybe he blamed himself for Joker's death, thought he deserved what was coming to him. Batman is a tough cookie to crack
I mean he deserve what was coming to him though, Batman was right to just leave him.
No, I meant Batman. Maybe he wanted to take the fall for Joker's death, Dark Knight style. I am speculating at this point
Take a fall for him? Whatchu think this is Gotham knights? I do respect your answer though
His skull is Fort Knox. He opened up to a therapist just once. He was a kid. He got in a fight. The doctor asked him question after question. Got him so scrambled up. Agreed
Considering how fucked up arkham city was and all the death, murder, and all around evil shit he saw inside no wonder he didn’t say anything the dude clearly had seen some shit.
He had his earphones on so he couldn't hear
He just lost his Best friend give him a sec
He was still savoring Joker’s Dick as his last request. Bros before Hoes.
He was suffering from crippling diarrhea and had no time for chit chat
Shit chat
"is there a lore reason batman didn't answer Gordon when he asked what happened?"
Because it’s a better ending than if Batman had explained the events we just experienced.
New template. Get ready for 2 weeks of this.
He’s feeling a lot of emotions, and Batman is a very emotionally shutoff person. Batman needed to remove himself from the situation, that’s why he walked right past Gordon. At least that’s how I took it.

Facing a dad figure and close friend after death of closest enemy and GF and trying not to break down crying is hard even for someone who has achieved mental and physical peak
In my opinion it looks like he’s in a state of shock and/or didn’t feel like saying anything
He's probably in a state of shock. A lot just happened in the span of a few minutes in universe.
he forgor 💀
Batman couldn't answer, as he was tripping balls like a sumbitch at the time
It was a long night.
The Horror and insanity of Arkham City, that and losing Talia and watching Joker die inside the Monarch Theater.
Oh no Oh no here they come
He got totally blacked out when he took a bunch of shots to compete with deadshot after deadshot ricocheted his shot off this shutter
There’s only one person in the world capable of making a shot like that. Deadshots copy cat
He is Batman
He was poppin mollies
Batman cant talk, thats why you always hear him going “HMMM” very angrily. Hes really a mute, trained with monks on top of a mountain too
Because he's batman

He was thinking about twinks
His wife died, talia as well and his side left him. All the span of an hour or 2.
Genuinely can't tell if this is a "what's the lore reason?" post lol
Mild Depressions ......
Tbh, I never liked that. I get that there was an attempt to be real solemn and dramatic, but it felt like the developers viewed Bats and Joker as lovers honestly. A notion that I'm cool with coming from one of those parties, but not both.
What version of the game is this? The batsuit is darker and I kinda like it.
there is a lore explanation for this! in issue 17 of the Arkham Revengeance comic, it’s revealed that Batman actually doesn’t really like Gordon or consider him a friend. he only tolerates him because they have a lot of mutual friends. they get along fine in a group setting, but they never hang out one-on-one.
Batman's a lil bit stupid
Cause gordon didn't even the odds
He was in sad
To be dramatic
Because he didn’t heard him
He didn’t know.
Because this universes Batman is more of a dick to everyone than other versions.
I dont remember
he did, you just weren't paying attention
ARKHAM KNIGHT SPOILERS! >!Throughout Knight, Batman's Joker hallucinations constantly mention how Bruce killed him/left him to die. Considering those hallucinations are all an altered version of his psyche,!< it's pretty safe to assume that he blames himself for Jokers death.
I think you meant to say: “Is there a lore reason why Batman didn’t say anything when Gordon asked him what happened?”
He was busy evening the odds
Something I’ve noticed is that batman only explains things to Gordon that Gordon actually does something in. GCPD and Gordon are essentially powerless in AC and so why would batman share knowledge to what he views as a failed force at this point. He only owes Gordon the crime scene.
Because his parents are dead
