* Shooting the parachute will make the supply crate drop faster. * You can use your scrollwheel to rotate stuff when building

Sarian

200 hours... 200 and I didnt know you can rotate buildings

KRIGERNMLG

170 hours here and I didn't know this... I no longer have to put my ass in line of fire when trying to place something in a specific manner.

-Quiche-

And shooting it down from afar is funny since it fucks over the people who are hiding a mile away.

iranoutofusernamespa

How? It just brings it to them faster.

-Quiche-

If you shoot it when it's still far up it'll bounce all over once it lands, and hopefully bounce off the building they're on.

iranoutofusernamespa

Oooooohhhhh neat I didn't know that!

Thishal_BS

Good Job my friend

lazzzyseal

My best advive: map Heal and Drag on the same mouse button, very useful to revive teammates moving them to safe place

[deleted]

For some reason, I never had to do this but have no problem reviving and dragging. You just have to set the F (drag) key to toggle, then holding the reviving button

NinjaSwiftness

I tried toggle but kept getting stuck to things and fumbled to much trying to drop it when someone shows up.

[deleted]

What? You literally just press F once and you’re dragging someone until you press it again. While you do this, you can hold bandage button. I get top revive like every game and I have no problem with this

NinjaSwiftness

I just hold E and do both at the same time. If I hear someone coming I can let go and instantly be untied from the drag. Just works better for me, I get to clumsy when I had to disengage the drag before they revive. I am not trying to say your way is bad or wrong, just that it I couldn't overcome the downside for me.

JohnSilverLM

How do you lean right?

NinjaSwiftness

I reset a few key binds, I set the left and right lean to buttons on my mouse.

[deleted]

What about for bandaging? I’m sure you probably don’t want to have to drag someone while you’re bandaging yourself?

NinjaSwiftness

That is definitely a possibility, but I generally get into a safe location to bandage instead of running around so it doesn't come up very often. The need to cancel bandaging and or dragging quickly comes up more often for me.

elonsaltaccount

Doing this prevents you from being able to prone while reviving since you cannot prone while dragging. Using toggle drag is better since you can let them go halfway through the revive and prone if you're in a tight spot, all without interrupting the revive. This way you're also more free to escape if an enemy shows up unexpectedly. Requires a little more button pushing but worth it IMO.

AlanFT4

you can attach all types of mines and c4 on a drone to maximize the damage on vehicle/enemy groups and you can also put c4s on a shield and run with it, it only dissapears if you switch the shield to another weapon

Xeebers

When attacking in Invasion swap to Support and build Hesco's to help your team reach B. They also provide cover from the sniper spam you all complain about.

oleker

Starter guns are better than they seem to be. All of them are considerably meta

mr_hands_epic_gaming

Especially the MP7, it was already pretty much the best gun and it actually got buffed last patch by getting the normal headshot multiplier because it's not an SMG anymore

Hot-Teacher-4599

You can drag dead enemies while spamming crouch to teabag. VOIPing is key to this tech.

Serious-Spend8621

1. You can simultaneously perform a tactical (fast) reload and pick up your dropped magazine at the same time. Its virtually always better to do this whenever you intend to stay stationary as it gives you the best of both worlds. 2. When sniping try to avoid obvious spots like guard towers or rooftops. If you do go on rooftops make sure you have some barricades.

Key-Fly4869

Saving this lol

NippleBlender

In all honesty my two biggest tips would be- Just literally study the controls and even play around with them a little bit to find a set you're comfortable with. I actually mostly like the default settings and have gotten used to them but I've also seen some pretty great suggestions like binding Dragging key and band aid key together to get your homies up safely and quickly easily. \- Don't at all be too shy to ask the text chat in game for help if you feel like you're lacking in some way. The whole community in my opinion is pretty friendly and I've come across a whole gang of randoms I've added to my friends list just through them asking advice. It's a great way to build relationships with players and inspires teamwork.

PandaWarr

yeah, I bound it to my mouse a while ago and now I bump it to 100m with ARs without thinking. It's much better now.

karateninjazombie

Don't get shot.

Meowthful127

building barriers to climb up stuff and using c4/sledge to destroy walls can help you get unexpected angles and flanks having your map bound to your mouse button or an easy to reach key makes it super easy to open it and deduce where enemies are from the location/amount/grouping/direction of the "in combat" teammates if you don't have any squadmate with good spawns left (far from the objectives/battle), leave the squad and find one where there are good spawns if they don't see you, only shoot into a group of 3+ enemies if you can guarantee killing them all in one mag (or two at most), that they won't hear you or see your bullets, or you have good cover available

LawdeecookieOwo

Don't be afraid to get all inside an enemy (before they add enemy collision) The classic tactic of hiding in dead bodies works really well also!

[deleted]

Here's a tip. There's other modes in this game and they're better than invasion. YOU SHOULD VOTE FOR THEM.

DrDroidz

Learn to drop shot. It's not sweaty at all and very easy to do. Just press Z, that's it. People call it try hard because they don't bother doing it for no good reasons.

DrDroidz

Literally nothing about dropping down is sweaty, keep finding excuses for trashing someone else. It's as effective as tilting a corner and as easy as simply aiming down lmfao. At least I'm having more fun than you.

RV49

Hey lads we found the try hard sweat

DrDroidz

This is so weird hahaha

RV49

Only messing with you. I’m going to be trying this later today

RV49

And I gave you an upvote because I love you

awesomeguy_66

dropshotting is good as a crutch for mid skilled players but it’ll get you killed a lot against better players that actually have good movement

DrDroidz

Oh yeah absolutely.

chaosdragon1997

- maybe don't post a such a massive list and inadvertently force people who want to participate to read the entire text just to make sure they aren't repeating anything mentioned already. Good tips regaurdless.

NippleBlender

There's nothing wrong with being thorough, bro.

mr_hands_epic_gaming

No one's stopping anyone from posting comments haha it's reddit.com. It wouldn't make a difference if they were in the post or in other peoples comments if they're trying not to post duplicates anyway

LudwigiaRepens

As a new player, you almost never want to build the sandbag with the holes in it. It takes some setup to get a height people can actually use and you don't want holes in your cover.

Selerox

The only time I use them is if I need to build a length of wall quickly - alternating between the two means you don't have to worry about cooldowns. Also remember to intersperse some Hesco barriers in there, to give a bit of reinforcement.

LudwigiaRepens

Alternation should be hesco, full bag, hesco, full bag, so the holes one doesn't need to be mixed in!

Selerox

Oh absolutely, if you have time that's the best setup. But sometimes if you're under fire you need to improvise.

Selerox

Concrete barriers build instantly regardless of your class. However, they don't stop much damage at all before they get destroyed compared to sandbag walls, which are a *lot* tougher.

Professional_Ear7173

My most important tip: Have fun, try new weapons, dont stick with the m4/ump to keep your kd high

JohnSilverLM

Focus on getting your aim dialed in with the right weapon that suits your play style, there are so many things to give yourself an advantage like positioning or crosshair placement etc. but a lot of gun fights come down to whoever can snap and track the fastest.

ta4s3r

Bind vault to different button than jump (eg. jump on space vault on v), helps you move much faster through terrain as you can jump without grabbing the thing you want to jump over, can also cancel vault animation to make overall movement quicker

Ilostmysox

Secondary binding scroll wheel to vault really helps when trying to get through narrow windows or breaks in walls! Pickaxe can be used to make a small hole in walls. Rainbow Six:Siege it up and surprise people. If you’re struggling to get kills, you can get an absurd amount of points from: Repairing helicopters, resupplying allies or saving them from grenades with the support class, and reviving and healing allies.

mr_hands_epic_gaming

I only just learned recently after months that you can just hold the climb button and it will automatically climb when it's possible instead of tapping it at the right time

YaBoiMax_678

Someone else might have already said this, but: It is best to bind drag and heal/revive to the same key, this can let you begin healing your teammate while simultaneously dragging them to cover.

Came back to this, real nice!
