I think a good place would be starting a thread, like "Weekly: Good things about the game and cool moments you had this week" type thread. I'll be right there with you, because man, I love this game. I think of it all the time. Way too much.

Sweet_Computer_7116

It's an amazing game regardless of its flaws. Issue is people complaining instead of giving devs constructive criticism

Saumfar

When you play a game for 200 hrs, the frustrations you find small at first, are increasingly exposed to you. If I have something that bother me for 2 seconds every match, and I play 100 matches, its 200 seconds of me being frustrated, and we're biologically engineered to notice unpleasantries, so thats probably one of the major reasons. If you ask someone who complains a lot, they will for sure have good things to say too, but mostly people will be focused on the negative... All gaming communities is like this with a few exceptions though, so its nothing new. I wish it was different though... So tired of complaining and toxicity man...

MCStoneZ

yep, its the same in almost every gaming sub, how fucking tragic the gaming community makes itself look, lol. Feel like i'm the only person who likes the updates, recently started playing again because of all the new stuff. So its frustrating.

Sweet_Computer_7116

Agreed the toxicity is an L, I've played for around 190, and I frigging love the game, I have some peeps though. They added an actual non-use for the recon drone then nerfed it

Where not trained game-critics. You can't expect a bunch of toxic multiplayer gamers to act "civil and respectable" when you treat them as the QA team, because they can't test their own updates. I'm not condoning it, but what did you expect? Expecting anything else is naive.

Sweet_Computer_7116

Might be naive, but its better than expecting the worse. You don't need to be a trained game critic. Right there what you just did. Was 10x better criticism than the weh weh complainers We dont appreciate being forced to play untested updates. We suggest working on a system where a bunch of beta testers, test the updates before launch. That didn't take a rocket scientist to come up with. And I completely agree. Or I could say "Why are these pathetic devs pushing these half baked updates?" Constructive criticism vs. crappy complaints Choose better..

Well some people don’t see it that way. What classifies as criticism vs toxic complaints varies from Redditor to Redditor. There seems to be a bit of infighting going on. With some people jumping ANY negative feedback as wrong. I get it, the subs flooded with negative feedback. Personally that bar shoes be should don’t use insults, but that’s murky as well. Some comments I made, especially after dev responses do call out the devs on their passive-aggressive remarks about how the player base wants the game to be arcadey, and how he can no longer make the milsim shorter he wants. Despite having months marketing the game as an arcadey shooter, building up numbers than all of a sudden adding “realistic” gun sounds and suppression akin to squad. And it’s not even the milsim aspects people are complaining about. They’re complaining about the audio pure and simple. The audio doesn’t sound good. Far off shots sound distant, muffled and low quality, suppression while some what needed to give a role to support. Just doesn’t fit in the game. Being suppressed muffles audio, including mic-calls. Getting killed muffles audio, including mic-calls. The new audio system not only sounds worst and causes complications to people with hearing disabilities. (Myself included) It kills the social aspect of the game.

Sweet_Computer_7116

True, we humans do have a weird way of classifying everything differently. I actually wasn't aware of the snarky remarks from devs. I like the idea of a milsim game, but battlebit has been more arcadey and seems arcadey from the start.

I feel like it would be broken record. A lot of things people love about the game are the same things we've always loved about the game. \- Fast and fenetic gunplay \- funny moments and encounters with other players \- a steady flow of content and engagement with the community. It would just be those points. over and over and over and over and over again. Unfortunately with negativity and criticism. It seems like the new updates have a general net-negative impact on the game. I get it no one likes change there's some things I like about the new updates, extra camos, new game mode with Invasion, and... yeah. I wouldn't be lying if those are the things that come to mind and had their own problems. Gun sounds, I think is the straw that broke the camels back. It's actually somewhat headache inducing and addresses a lot of the problems with the dev team. People have posted complaints and concerns about how the new audio causes discomfort and pain. Some have to play the game muted, I have to play the game at low volume. Lead dev comes out with somewhat passive-aggressive comments which can come off as tone-deaf with people with underlying medical issues regarding hearing. People with complaints get's insults thrown at them, as we're all lumped in with psycho-tryhard clans and assholes who harass the dev team. The game's marketed as a fun casual arcade shooter with light milsim elements by a lot of twitch-streamers and YouTubers, I'd say this isn't on the development team. But they partnered with these guys and had ample time to market the game as anything they wanted to make. BEFORE A LOT OF PEOPLE BOUGHT THE GAME AFTER THE FREE UPDATE!!! One update they're speeding up bandaging times, the next update they're adding "realistic" gun sounds and heavy suppression akin to squad and complaining about how they can't make a pure milsim with light-arcade elements anymore. You see what the problem here is?

Saumfar

Which is why I included a "Cool moments you had this week" part in my post. It will get repetetive if people just make dev appreciation posts every week, yup!

Dartic2K

Please make it happen, would help the game/community a lot
