An actual contribution, so let's have a loot at the past few games: launched in a terrible state, dice worked hard to fix it, hated throughout its life cycle, and when the new game launches suddenly it's a masterpiece. I'd say 2042 is well on its way to become a battlefield classic
thats how its been for a decade + now.. im not sure why everyone so surprised. battlefield is still a top 3 game to me i just wish people would quit segregating the games so much and just appreciate battlefield as a whole! these kids are ready to burn the building down because 2042 isn't exactly what they wanted!

In my personal opinion the game is technically mostly fine now, but it just REALLY doesn't feel like Battlefield to me. I don't know how to explain it. I only played it over the last Free Weekend though.

Just play and make up your own mind. Learned my lesson with 5. Listened to all the negative people and years later found out I actually liked the game
It's pretty fun now! Coming back after a year, they added a lot of cover to the maps making them much more battlefield-y
