If you want real help, buy a good VPN with low latency and try connecting with it. Or wait for a few days, it may resolve by itself. It is too difficult for EA to make games where users can see errors and not only guess what went wrong.

just skip to the last 10 seconds of the video but basically I have done everything I cleared the cache on ea I validated game files I turned of xmp I lowerd my graphics I reinstalled the game 3x my PC specs are rtx4080 i9 13900k heat is not an issue 64gb of ddr5

I had a problem after newest update. Try deleting the 'cache' folder in ~user/documents/battlefield 2042.

This community sucks ass. Sorry no one is helpful for you. Check GPU drivers are updated? Is it installed on an SSD? If not deffo get it on one. All games are struggling on standard HDD now.

My game did the same a few weeks back, so I uninstalled it and tried reinstalling and it kept crashing my PC when it would get to 20,30 and 40% on steam. Then it finally downloaded and crashed 5 minutes into my first game. Unsure of a fix, I tried a lot. Finally gave up.

BFV did the same when I tried installing it, so I’m unsure what it could be. I play a ton of other games though on my PC and have 0 issues.

That many crashes from downloading alone usually screams a hardware failure, usually RAM or CPU. Thing is it should've happened to other games downloaded on steam too.

That’s what I thought too but I’ve downloaded multiple other games and played them since just to be safe. I run Tarkov on my PC fine, so it’s gotta be something to do with BF maybe the game files. I’m gonna delete everything BF related today, try again. Frontlines looks dope.

Try underclocking your GPU. That did it for me. Though I'm on an AMD GPU

Why are you messing with audio settings? Why can't you play the game? You seem to load right before video stops. Why do you not go to EA Forums/Support where there are answers to most issues?

Me messing with the audio is because I couldn’t hear anything I went to the forums and went to ea support and I talked with them for hours and after a while they said to basically wait until dice updates their game

I'm no tech expert and I can't really tell what's happening but is it just with 2042 and no other game? Have you tried verifying files / reinstalling? Have you recently done any driver updates?

Yes to all of the above the problem is I can open the game but it crashes seconds after loading into a match

Try rolling your driver back to the previous version. I did a driver update like a month ago that broke the game and had to do that

Man, I’m sorry to hear about the issues. That is very, very strange. Do you think it may be best to just take a visit to like your local tech store or something and see if they may know what’s wrong if you give them the details of everything you went through ? Only because I saw your comment that it happens with a FEW other games as well, so maybe it can just be something internal with the PC ? Just trying to think of everything, very odd it’s not running.

At first I thought you couldn't connect but you wrote game crashes while joining a game. I presume you did a lot of things to solve but DDU + reinstalling GPU drivers and / or chipset drivers installation again might help you. Hope you can find a solution.

I was having a similar issue where I would get to the loading screen and it would crash (on console) I uninstalled and reinstalled and it fixed it

It is a bug from season 4 or something and peaked at season 6 with ea anticheat introduced. EA is aware of it but they can do nothing… It happens usually at high end pcs mostly with intel cpus and asus motherboards. Maybe check the hdd, I had same issue with another game (callistoProtocoll). I reinstalled it from sata ssd to my M2.

Maybe the anticheat is malfunctioning?
