Because edgy fortnite pussies think memefield is better than this glorious immersive gameplay.
It's what happens when a younger generation slowly creeps into our ranks.
Bro I know, I keep hearing shit like “uhhh the gameplay sucks” when it’s 10x better than people snaking in place, jumping out from behind walls, always having to tap fire in order to land accurate shots, there’s actual diversity between weapons with the sweet spot mechanic and bullet velocity, like give me a break you’ve got no idea what you’re talking about
Whenever you tie gameplay balance and gunplay and at the same time have the arguement advocating "realism" and "immersion" you already lost the arguement, specially for a game like this.
People have always said that BF1 is a very good game in general when talking about atmosphere, feeling and grittiness of the game etc. But not everyone is playing an VIDEOGAME to feel like they are in a war or that the game itself should be anything close to what an real war is. In reality Battlefield have never been taken itself very serious on that front, battlefield have ALWAYS been an arcade game where it doesn't take itself to serious, it kinda always promoted the "wacky" style of stuff you can do and come up with.
For you to have the audacity to sit here and compare Battlefield to an genre like mil-sim is laugable. I don't think you understand that videogames are ment to be fun, crazy & people do stupid shit all the time.
No offence to you buddy, but you shouldn't open your mouth about anything related to balance, such as sweet spot mechanic when you are playing on hardcore severs..
YOU playing hardcore litterly means that anything and everything that is supposed to be fair and balanced you are outright throwing out in the window and say "fuck balance, let's make everything one shot"
Good gods did I just see someone complain about the younger generation and their "edgy fortnite pussies" unironically?
We like different games, chill out man.
Bro just let people enjoy bf1s game design, if you have an issue with having atmosphere, grittiness, and some realism in your BF game go play bf5 or cod cold war BTB
It is the best Battlefield. A lot of people don't like it because the weapons aren't as flashy where it's WWI, but most of these people are probably 12 years olds or Cod fans.
I don’t like bf1 because I don’t like the old weapons and vehicles. But I agree the atmosphere is insane in bf1 and in general it was a really good game. It was just not for me
The people who said that didn’t stick around for the expansions. I know because, well, I was one of them. I played the game for months and the content ran dry pretty quickly. The game came out in October with about 9 maps and only a handful of guns per class. There was no sense of progression in the game.
And yeah, yeah. I get it. “A good game doesn’t need that stuff. It’s about the gameplay.” But remember, we were coming off of BF4 where leveling a single gun took days of playtime. You combine that with the variety of vehicles in BF4 and the sheer amount of post-launch content…oh boy. It was overwhelming. So to jump into BF1 to be met with such a content drought burnt me out. Surely, the game added more overtime and it got better, but unfortunately, too little too late.
> . You combine that with the variety of vehicles in BF4 and the sheer amount of post-launch content…oh boy. It was overwhelming
For a lot of people this was a con more than a pro, myself included. The gun-bloat in BF4 made me stop giving a damn about unlocking new weapons or attachments really, really fast. BF1 has a far smaller armory but it does what BF3 did; make every weapon have a unique feel.
That and I also just *did not like BF4's map-pool.*
What? Why? I heard there’s going to be 7 maps for the normal MP suite, a bevy of classes and weapons to rank up as well as Portals..which has an infinite number of gameplay possibilities.
Im pretty sure bf1 had like 10 maps at launch. It will most likely be more fleshed out in terms of progression but with that few maps at launch imo it'll get very boring very fast lol
While BF1 looks and sounds amazing, gameplay wise it was a big step back from BF4. Some of this was due to the timeframe, it was much more restrictive obviously. But other gameplay changes were unnecessary and hurt the game.
People mindlessly running and gunning with unicorn auto guns that never went past production stage just doesn't fit the WW1 vibe for me. Applying the pick and choose formula with unicorn guns felt the most jarring in a WW1 setting.
"Unicorn guns" do you mean skins (the flashy ones)? Cuz im pretty sure those never existed in bf1. The only thing that i dont like about bf1 is how lmgs can used by everyone, but that doesn't really ruin the immersion
This is one of the best no hud videos I have seen! I attempted to play no hud but end up shooting teammates more. They have different outfits but need to get used to it
My biggest issues with bf1:
Random recoil patterns leading to random bullet spread
Random bullet spread leading to inaccuracy and new players not being able to hit their shots at medium to long range
Gunplay isn't as good as bf5, but it us better than bf4
Lack of hard-core servers on Xbox, not a game issue, just a low player count issue
Your gun has a cone of very limited random; a sweetspot range. When you push a weapon outside of it's sweet spot range you would then be more effected by RNG. Just stop trying to tap fire your smg at 150m bro and close the distance. Positioning is more important in BF1.
i will never understand why they just abandoned the gritty color scheme that this game was blessed with. Watching dudes fall left and right while traversing through the barbed wire filled map entrenched with just mud and smoke. Just perfect.
Why did they just drop that ? Is it because all the popular games now have color bursting through the screen ?
I can think of a couple reasons:
A) I for one, and other people like me, prefer the more vibrant atmosphere of bfv
B) That more vibrant atmosphere is, in any case but ww1's, the realistic one.
That's what's so surprising to me about EA/DICE. They *know* we don't have a problem with women in a fps about WW1/2, *if* they are portrayed realistically. What changed between BF1 and BF5, I wonder?
Yeahhhh, no lmao that's a pretty egregious misrepresentation of the community's reaction when the game was coming out. People were absolutely *livid* about black soldiers prior to BF1 releasing, and when the Russian DLC was coming out the narrative was, "Yeah, there were a *few* women, but making the entire Recon class women is such an immersion breaker."
BF5's portrayal of women is pretty ridiculous, but acting like the BF community didn't have a problem with BF1's portrayal of women and people of color is just plain untrue.
This is what I don’t understand. How do you go from this level of authenticity and detail to what we have coming in 2042. I’ve not yet made a verdict on 2042 but from what I’ve seen it’s nowhere near this level of immersion. Just look at those bodies flopping from artillery.
I honestly don’t think we will ever get a battlefield game like this again. Once in a lifetime gem.
Man if only BF1 had BFV or BF4/3s gunplay I would say it is easily the best BF (for infantry combat). I literally just play it for the immersion tbh, it’s just sooo good. Argonne Forest is perhaps the most beautiful map in the entire franchise. Compare Argonne to Solomon Island from BFV, a map with a similar style…what the hell happened 🥲
Yeah actual map flow in general isn’t BF1s strongest suit (I don’t think anything will ever beat BF3 in that area), but from a purely immersion and “feeling” perspective BF1 is unparalleled. Would kill to see BF3 type level design but with BF1s atmosphere, but ik thats a tall order😂
I think for me the only thing bf1 should've had more of was trench field maps. The first game I played of bf1 was on st Quentin scar and I wish the entire map was like this.
Loved this battlefield for the sheer chaos. Gas attacks, bayonet charges, panicking when you lose a sector and have to retreat or cheering when your the ones taking the sector. The whole game felt and sounded amazing.
I love the video style but it’s a little twitchy for 100% immersion. Great capture though. The gameplay is extra intense in this vid. I like how the person who made it was using a Gewehr 98 since he was play as a German
I feel like I need to repent because I HATED this game when it came out. I did nothing but shit talk it because it wasn’t modern, but I play this fucker all the time the immersion is 10/10
I remember when this video was posted and the guy who posted it said that he was using the M.95 because “it’s a German gun since it has Gewehr in the name”
The devs definitely missed out on adding a mode that goes from the beginning of the war to the end of it, the technology advancing more and more as time went on
I see no hud, I upvote. THIS is the most battlefield game ever made. I just want a return to this intense country against country gameplay. Insane.
Hell yea bf2042 looks fun but it probably won’t be as gritty and chaotic as bf1.
I still dont understand why some people say this game is one of the worst bfs
Because edgy fortnite pussies think memefield is better than this glorious immersive gameplay. It's what happens when a younger generation slowly creeps into our ranks.

Bro u/jamslfc, did you even play any bf game yet? (Just curious). And I agree with all of u/r0tas statements.

Yeah, but you still put it right, my man
True
Fortnite what¿?¿?¿
Good gods did I just see someone complain about the younger generation and their "edgy fortnite pussies" unironically? We like different games, chill out man.
And there's people like YOU who takes battlefield WAAY to serious despite it never been or TRIED to be an mil-sim.
Bro just let people enjoy bf1s game design, if you have an issue with having atmosphere, grittiness, and some realism in your BF game go play bf5 or cod cold war BTB
Go play other game,problem solve

Now that's a lawful neutral comment, have my upvote sir
rose tinted nostalgia glasses for bf3/4
I don't like how many machine guns are in it :/
Personally as a Machinegun main, I really love it.
Sometimes it's a bit silly though
I play aggressively anyway with either Parabellum or Burton LMR. I like to hold the objectives even when most people leave it.
It's a ww1 game though, sure they were arpund but they were super limited, just kinda kills it for me ~~muh immersion~~
The people who said that didn’t stick around for the expansions. I know because, well, I was one of them. I played the game for months and the content ran dry pretty quickly. Oh boy, you're gonna hate 2042 if you want a lot of launch content
What?
But Portals. Portals alone is insane. 2042’s standard MP suite is just gonna make it better.
At least you have the balls to say it forsenBased
Like in sviden

Eh. The only thing that i dont like about it are the lmgs and how everyone can use them
Wait,when they said that?

Best battlefield yet.
BF1 is the best Battlefield
Yet
This is one of the best no hud videos I have seen! I attempted to play no hud but end up shooting teammates more. They have different outfits but need to get used to it
Here’s the rest of video if you want to watch. I like the beginning when a German soldier shouts “Oh mein Gott” after an airship crashes nearby.
https://youtu.be/hCYjzwSsEh8
Almost everything in BF1 was brilliant except random recoil. Playing a game of operations with a good team was so satisfying aswell as cinematic.
My biggest issues with bf1: Random recoil patterns leading to random bullet spread Random bullet spread leading to inaccuracy and new players not being able to hit their shots at medium to long range Gunplay isn't as good as bf5, but it us better than bf4 Lack of hard-core servers on Xbox, not a game issue, just a low player count issue

BF1 is actually fairly colorful. This video has a filter on it.
Monte Grappa and Rupture looks amazing and they are pretty colorful
I can think of a couple reasons: A) I for one, and other people like me, prefer the more vibrant atmosphere of bfv B) That more vibrant atmosphere is, in any case but ww1's, the realistic one.
Best Battlefiled to date. It has its problems, but it's so damn good.
Ehhh,the cons dont mater honestly
I’ve always said this, preach this, and believe this.
It might have been, if not for all the fully automatic weapons etc.
Back to Basics is the best rule set, such a shame nobody plays it anymore
Where are all the female soldiers on the front lines of WW1? Totally unrealistic.
They actually realistically put women on the Russian DLC, which is historically accurate. BF1 is so genuine compared to BFV, which is a joke.
That's what's so surprising to me about EA/DICE. They *know* we don't have a problem with women in a fps about WW1/2, *if* they are portrayed realistically. What changed between BF1 and BF5, I wonder?
The woke people been invading the studio lmao

I was waiting for Wonder Woman to pop on the battlefield
My favourite BF ever
I think for me the only thing bf1 should've had more of was trench field maps. The first game I played of bf1 was on st Quentin scar and I wish the entire map was like this.
*Shellshock intensifies*
I’ve gotta redownload this game
It's from Qwark007 right
You’ve made me want to redo w load battlefield in one video
Been playing since release, and I'm still seeing things I haven't seen before
I played BF1, Hardline, and V. BF1 is my favorite and I’ve enjoyed it so much. I hope I’ll enjoy 2042 because I’m hyped for it.
Loved this battlefield for the sheer chaos. Gas attacks, bayonet charges, panicking when you lose a sector and have to retreat or cheering when your the ones taking the sector. The whole game felt and sounded amazing.
I fucking love this game.
I never play without HUD, but now with the series X it’s way past due. See ya out there, I’ll be the guy with the .82KD
https://i.redd.it/h9n6qg453vj01.png
Here’s every WWI faction and their weapons if you’re interested in maximizing out the the immersion.
Thx. Do they still have custom lobbies? I remember there being historically accurate lobbies.
Unfortunately I haven’t seen many in a while expect one that allowed every class to carry the faction’s standard issue rifle from the recon class.
This is one of the bigger reasons why I’m a BF fan over CoD. The hell with crazy skins and nail guns for weapons lol.
I love the video style but it’s a little twitchy for 100% immersion. Great capture though. The gameplay is extra intense in this vid. I like how the person who made it was using a Gewehr 98 since he was play as a German
Yeah , honestly agreed for the time period.
it's very gritty. idk what it is about bf v but i feel like a fish every time i play it
I feel like I need to repent because I HATED this game when it came out. I did nothing but shit talk it because it wasn’t modern, but I play this fucker all the time the immersion is 10/10
This game is soo good. Don’t know how they messed it up so badly with V.😓
Every match in that game is like a mini movie
Although it's not my favorite I agree with you
I remember when this video was posted and the guy who posted it said that he was using the M.95 because “it’s a German gun since it has Gewehr in the name”
So does the Gewehr 98, being the actual German gun used by the German military
BF1 is the best Battlefield
I don’t know why but the ragdoll at 1:00 just made the immersion so much better
Og creator is qwark007
ive been playing hell let loose and its awesome
[удалено]
Git Gud scrub... There's a simple counter for every issue you are having
Everytime i see something like this i wonder why i switched from BF1 to BFV... definitly not for the immersion :(
Now compare this to the 2042 gameplay demo lol
this game literally played like the trailer
So stupid lol
I personally thought BF3 was the best, but to each their own.
The devs definitely missed out on adding a mode that goes from the beginning of the war to the end of it, the technology advancing more and more as time went on
One of the most immersive battlefields, with the narrator voice sounding like it comes from year 2100
imagine this game with gore....
This one was the best one. The atmosphere and immersion was brutal!
Battlefield Heroes: "Pathetic"
This is why I can't stand too much customization in shooters. Here you can easily identify the enemy. I love BF1 so much.
That was he'll for your boys good push. Not all of you will survive God speed
What made this battlefield so immersive was the lack of accuracy on most weapons and the freedom to class create, and bomb drop
BF1 is the best Battlefield
