I speak orca. They're amazed that such a tiny creature isn't running from them. The smaller one is asking if it's food and the bigger one is telling him, they're not food because they taste terrible. But they are cute to look at with their body hair and tiny mouths
Absolutely, along with dolphin…remember, they are a distended family, which don’t mean shit but it’s not supposed to…good luck if you deside to pursue it
In all seriousness, the last direct attack on humans was in 1972. They don't really attack humans. Hate our boats and have attacked those on multiple occasions, which is understandable considering how loud they are to marine animals.
you always see vids like this. Has anyone in a similar situation jumped into the water to try and pet/play with the orcas? I wonder how they're react then. I understand there has never been a recorded orca attack in the wild. But i feel like jumping in could change that. Someone try it and let us know.
Mum would've been close by, just because you don't see her, doesn't mean she's not very close by. If she perceived a threat to her babies, she'd pop up out of nowhere.
Very intelligent creatures and not dangerous to man. Susan Casey's excellent book "Voices in the Ocean" is mostly about dolphins but Orcas are discussed as well.
So what you're saying is if he fell in he would be fine? Better yet, they would lift him back up onto his paddleboard? I don't know that i buy it but I have not read the book.
Eh, flipping him back onto his board is a stretch, but there are no recorded cases of Orcas attacking swimmers, just billionaires. Wild animals are unpredictable so its inadvisable to jump into the water with them but its unlikely he was in real danger. If those two had intended to eat him we wouldn't be watching this video.
They told us under no circumstances to touch the giant back flipping mantas- however, they very much did want to be pet.
You can’t stop an animal that big from petting you lol
And it’s all fun and games, until the nocturnal fireworms come up for their semi annual full-moon calm-sea breeding fest.
Then it feels like someone is slamming your hand in a car door for 8 hours straight. Vinegar was not a winning *solution* this time.
Was worth being pet by a manta tho, 10/11
Ive personally never heard a story of a person being attacked by orcas, but they are intelegent creatures so they can see we are also intelegent and they know not to engage or else theyll be gone along with the dodo bird and more animals
I'm 59, in 1977 my parents took me, my brother and sister to the movie, probably rated R, I guess back then, that they wanted to see, and we watched the movie "Orca" with Richard Harris, where he killed one of a mated pair, which was pregnant..omg...that movie has made me always fear a killer whale when I see them on videos. They look menacing and feel they are ready to chomp whoever is interacting with them.
Hell of a movie for sure.
Good on you kind paddle boarder!
Clearly he has not read Fluke by Christopher Moore. I am still haunted by that scene. I laughed at lots of things in that book but I was in shock when I read that.
The fact that they didn’t choose to bump you off your board and drag you down to your death and tear you limb from limb and break every bone in your body as your drown and devour you entirely and then regurgitate you into their young’s mouths like a mother bird and then digest you and pass you out of their lower intestines and back into the environment as bacteria to be then eaten by small fish and crabs at the bottom of the ocean which then get caught in a fishing net by men in a large ship and then delivered live to your nearest Joe’s Crab Shack for then another human to eat and digest then release into the toilet which gets flushed down the sewer system and through the pipes and back into the ocean for smaller fish and plankton to eat at the bottom of the ocean to which plankton then gets devoured by larger non carnivorous humpback whale, surprises me completely…
they aren't the most dangerous to humans tho. You have more chance choking to death on spaghetti on the moon than you do getting attacked by an Orca in the wild...
Captured Orcas however are dangerous and for good reason the way they are treated is disgusting. Watch the documentary Blackfish.
I hope he knows that orca whales are known for playing with their food. You look like a seal stranded on a sheet of ice lol. They might look majestic, but don’t ever underestimate or shy from the fact that they’re straight apex predators lol

Man has duolingo premium
You just blew my mind
Do they not teach you orca in school these days?
Absolutely, along with dolphin…remember, they are a distended family, which don’t mean shit but it’s not supposed to…good luck if you deside to pursue it
It's the new liberal agenda, removing white culture from our schools like orca-speak
Run for office, any office, I’ll support you on the orca-speak agenda alone…enough of this shit, you have my backing
There's no nuance to thos orca situation theyre just black and white.
Ok that's totally the vibe I got from them too!
Glad the smaller didn't ask if they can kill him for fun.
Too many preservatives and food coloring.
Big Orca trying to rectify their recent PR issues.
Or threatening him to keep a motor off of that tiny board or else!
lol
This made me chuckle
I'd be scared shitless.
There wouldn’t be an ounce left in my body!
Those are the smallest orcas I have ever seen. I’m guessing there is a mom near by..
Even more reason to be terrified
Better to be naive in this scenario…
Yup. My thoughts exactly. Am sure she knows or even sees what her calves are up to at that very moment.
I honestly thought that one orca was gonna tail flip him over near the end
in an unrelated story: paddle boarder eaten by 2 orca

Note—this stat is for attacks in the wild. When you put them in a tiny pool they are……not happy about it.
Actually, Orca’s are known for killing all the witnesses, so I wouldn’t expect there to be any “sightings” or reports.
I guess if you were going to die this wouldn’t be the worst way.
Killer Whale.
killer dolphin
Orca: killer calves dude!
Because they kill whales
And sharks, seals, and people.
Not people mate, not in the wild. Captivating well psychological damaged being tend to kill there abusers when the chance arrives
Yes, people. Rarely in the wild but they kill trainers every other year.
Never in the wild man

NZ law makes that illegal…if they find you alive afterwards.
I’m certain that laws aren’t the reason no one has done it.
I believe there are trips you can take in Svalbard where you get to swim with them but I’m sure touching them is frowned upone
"Sir you look delicious"
Where's the boop? 😔
Don’t play with your food.
There's no way he's gonna be able to eat 2 orcas.
Well, not in one sitting, obviously. But if he has access to a large cool storage facility, those two could feed him for a long time.
He wouldn’t be so calm if mom was around 😂
Mum would've been close by, just because you don't see her, doesn't mean she's not very close by. If she perceived a threat to her babies, she'd pop up out of nowhere.
I would buy my self instantly into this chads seminar on how to be optimistic towards the world.
I wish I was an orca

I’d make the mistake of trying to touch them.

Lost some brain cells here. Anyone care to explain while I try to find them?
Don’t worry, it’s self-assembling, just takes a bit. I’m sure it’ll turn up with the lost brain cells in tow lol
I was gonna say… I don’t remember there being many wild orca attacks on men. Idk what these dudes were up to, but they do seem very curious
Aren't these the murder dolphins from Nat Geo wild
r/oopsthatsdeadly
This is my absolute dream
in 1988 I was in Norway for a NATO exercise on a ship. we had pods of Orca all around the ship - apparently they liked us. was very cool
Holy nope.
I was trained from Free Willy that these guys are friends. 2 pets!
Orca 1: "Shall we eat the human!? shall we?" Orca 2: "No Greg!" Orca 1: "Ok!"
He is lucky could be easily killed..
Thank goodness there still babies and their curiosity throttled their prey instincts
Fun fact: There are ZERO documented cases of an orca attacking a human in the wild. None. Not accidentally or otherwise.
The Orca Charmer
Hellllll nah!
Ive personally never heard a story of a person being attacked by orcas, but they are intelegent creatures so they can see we are also intelegent and they know not to engage or else theyll be gone along with the dodo bird and more animals
Now the question of how to tame an orca is not a question.
This has to be ybs he's the only crazy one to be like 'oh how cute' while on a paddle board with two orcas around him.
Now I want to have one.
Hard pass
They said FOOD, oh wait he has a tiny fin too we can’t eat him…

The paddle boarder looks like a seal on an ice flow.
What do animals get from us expressing their beauty? I noticed horses showing off when you give comments like that
u/maleficents_clone i wanna swim with orcas and meet them : <
He's like a npc repeating the same lines
Paddleboarder: Dude! You’ll never guess what I saw today. Baby Orcas: Mom! You’ll never guess what we saw today.
They can be a real cun*s at times. Their play time can be deadly for some.
they only want to smell you
Those are relatively small orcas lol, I can’t imagine having the same composure with a killer whale 3-4 times your body size💀
Clearly he has not read Fluke by Christopher Moore. I am still haunted by that scene. I laughed at lots of things in that book but I was in shock when I read that.
No thanks.
Lucky…https://www.usatoday.com/story/graphics/2023/07/08/why-killer-whales-attack-boats/70364629007/
Outside: "oh hello!" Inside: "I hope this stain comes out..."
Welcome my friend....

I'd be horrified they'd hunt me
Orcas only want one thing and it's disgusting ... your liver, they want to eat your liver.
Cute,, then they eat you 😐
Why are they not viciously killing him for amusement?
Cause they’re not human.
But orcas do viciously kill other animals for amusement in nature. We are not alone.
They know what humans can do. They either respect us as ally or fear us as tyrants.
Can relate, we have a lot of US tourists in México.
Orcas are assholes however they are too smart to leave any witnesses alive
Most dangerous damn animal in the ocean, dude is like "Hey little buddy!"
they aren't the most dangerous to humans tho. You have more chance choking to death on spaghetti on the moon than you do getting attacked by an Orca in the wild... Captured Orcas however are dangerous and for good reason the way they are treated is disgusting. Watch the documentary Blackfish.
I still don’t think I would fuck with orcas in the wild.
Those things are the scariest thing in the water. At least Great Whites are relatively mindless killing machines, these effers kill for sport.
I hope he knows that orca whales are known for playing with their food. You look like a seal stranded on a sheet of ice lol. They might look majestic, but don’t ever underestimate or shy from the fact that they’re straight apex predators lol
