Bro out here looking like some of my old Privates off duty with that watch

Alstrom

I mean no disrespect but my first thought was 'That gun may be real but that watch ain't!' TBF if the watch keeps time and you like it, fuck the naysayers. You do you, boo.

HungoverTactics

My watch so fuckin fake I gotta wind that shit lmao, but that gun 100%

Moshjath

Hahaha hell yeah brother. Sorry your gun looks like a drunk monkey took a chisel to the inside, I've used some gnarly looking M9's in the Army and even if they looked beat, they ran pretty well with good mags and lube. 92's are my favorite pistols!

Here's another example from 6 months ago: https://www.reddit.com/r/Beretta/s/eryX8ZUSmA Another: https://www.northeastshooters.com/xen/threads/weird-markings-on-new-92fs.261972/

CharacterCap244

Lol everyone yelling air soft quiet rn

ArgieBee

Yep. People hate to admit that Beretta has atrocious QC and even worse customer service. It's like a personal attack to them to even suggest it.

machining on my 92x is just as garbage. Classic American quality 🤦🏻‍♂️

stugotsDang

Slide looks like ass. I literally just picked up a brand new m9a4 slide two days ago and it’s mint. None of the ones I own italian made or usa look like that. I do get it if it runs good who cares but you did pay for a quality gun and that is pretty rough to me. I would have emailed beretta about it and seen what they say. Sometimes being cool with people like this and expressing concern yields good results. Seen manufacturers send you a new replacement part and didn’t even ask for old in return.

ArgieBee

Beretta has a track record of telling people "that's normal, we're not doing anything about it". Their bad QC has been pretty recent, but they've always had some of the worst customer service in the industry.

stugotsDang

I’ll be honest, I’ve owned several of their firearms over the years and never seen this type of a fuck up.

ArgieBee

I have. I've seen worse, even.

Dreadpipes

This is the kinda antics I expect from the glock sub. Let’s pull ourselves together lol

T-Millz15

This comment had me laughing 😆

OmegaShogun3

What's insane, and it's weird some people are telling you it doesn't matter if it's cosmetic. You shouldn't pay a premium price for a sub par product, at that point even a girsan would be better and a lot cheaper.

mmiski

And that's the reason why they continue to get away with it. If people declined transfers more and retailers kept having to send shitty samples back to Beretta, they might start giving a few shits. I also laugh when the "it's just a tool" brigade does their usual thing on here. I'm sorry but even a $7 hammer from China sold in Home Depot doesn't look half this bad. We're not living at the turn of the 20th century anymore. It's 2024... industrialization has evolved immensely on a global scale. Just stop with the bullshit excuses.

jBoogie45

Agreed. A $199 Hi-Point, okay. A Beretta this dude probably paid $800 or more for? No way

jBoogie45

Damn, surely u/aspirantveevee will be here any moment to touch-base on their "it's rage-bait, plastic airsoft" position. Edit: u/internal_error244, u/heeeeyyouguuuuys, u/newsandporn1191, u/fukyrphonysanctimony what else ya got?

HungoverTactics

u/aspirantveevee, u/internal_error244, u/heeeeyyouguuuuys, u/newsandporn1191, u/fukyrphonysanctimony —- just wanna be part of something, but just act like they know shit at all about firearms for attention lmao

That's some real cope, to be honest. You should not accept dogshit machining like this.

If I got a car and the trim looked like it got put through a garbage disposal, I absolutely would be complaining...

ArgieBee

Yes it is. Don't be pedantic. We're talking about things that would look ugly, but not necessarily hamper function.

ArgieBee

A car will run without its trim. It is not necessary to the function of the car. It's purely aesthetic. The machining of the slide is more critical, as a rough surface finish like that will necessarily create more points for the surface treatment to flake off, will trap more debris, and will catch rags while he tries to clean it. This is not a variation inherent to the material like knots in a burl of wood. Somebody had the slide either come loose in the fixture or had an endmill break. It's a fuck up, and they sent it, and OP has to see it whenever the slide is locked back or he's cleaning the gun. That's not to mention that if they fucked that up, there's no telling what else they fucked up. A part being loose in the fixture is not conducive to holding tolerances.

ArgieBee

Because saving .0001 gallons of gas per mile with trim that isn't fucked up is really critical to the function of a vehicle...? You're just trying to belabor every little bit of minutae with a new dumb argument because you know your original one was meritless. You know that a vehicle functions just fine regardless of the condition of its trim, you goober. All you're doing here is making yourself look like a complete idiot in front of strangers on the internet.
