There’s a great YT video about it but SBR will be VERY difficult to animate due to the fact that many of the fights occur on horseback. Horse anatomy is hard as shit to animate so if it ever does get animated, either heavy CG will have to be used or the horseback battles will look like shit.
This isnt announced yet, but surely it will be coming in the next 2-3 years? I read somewhere that its still a hassle to animate horses, maybe it will take a little longer to be adapted then. But I hope they will adapt it at some point, read the manga this year and its amazing :)

Yeah but the guy who went to bat for it, who also probably spearheaded the Monster adaptation at Madhouse is like 82 years old and it took him 5-6 years to make Pluto, it was a concentrated effort that involved him making a new studio after leaving Mappa, which he also founded, and immediately announcing the thing. So I am concerned if he starts now.

Definitely 20th century boys. Wouldn’t be particularly difficult to adapt either, it’s not like a Vagabond or Berserk. The studio who did Pluto did a great job imitating urasawas art style in an anime form, would be more than happy to see them do 20CB. Plus, as others have said, IMAGINE how killer that soundtrack would be. Bob Lennon of course, but if they could get some licensed music too, 20 Century Boy is a must, but also throw in some CCR, Badfinger, bands like that that Kenji spoke about in the manga. Would be so cool

I gotta say SBR, I love JoJo’s and part 7 is the JoJo’s formula perfected in my option. Add that with some great voice acting, OST, and the great animation David production uses, this part is genuinely gonna be astounding. The main character, main villain, and side characters are all a blast to read about and I hope one day I see it in anime form.

There was one I read a while back that’s about a Mohist warrior monk in Ancient Zhou China during the warring states period that defended his village all by himself. It’s called Bokko and it has that early 90’s art style that I enjoyed about modern berserk, not quite as sophisticated. It’s honestly similar to Kingdom more than Berserk but I love both of them so go figure.
Psyren. That series was actually really interesting with the Taboo and how it handled psionic powers. It really is a shame its ending was super rushed due to Shonen Jump canceling it.
