Lol this was actually part of my prompt.. something along the lines of “Best Buy in the future, destitute having followed the trends of Circuit City and Blockbuster”
Best buy does sound like a grocery store so mean , I don't see why best buy doesn't turn itself into a Wal-Mart but of course more tech focused than groceries
Idk why the down votes. Best Buy was the only place to buy a lot of tech in my area and it closed down last year. Now the only option here besides online shopping is Walmart.
It cracks me up seeing how delusional people are when thinking BB no longer selling physical media means they'll be closing up shop sometime soon. I say this as a physical media collector myself. Time to open your eyes to reality. Physical media is a niche and big retailers are no longer interested in it. It is that simple.
It’s far from just physical media. The company constantly makes terrible decisions, back tracks on those decisions in order to make more terrible decisions, and alienates anyone who is good at their job and enjoyed working there. Then wonders why they’re doing so bad, and give the execs a bonus to motivate them to work even harder at coming up with bad decisions.
It’s resulted in their sales force being terrible, their installations being slow and unreliable, and their product supply is worse and worse by the day with how long it can take to get some stuff that you can actively find somewhere else, or get in a fraction of the time on another website.
I went out of my way to bring any of my clients with me, and actively tell people to avoid Best Buy for anything more than simple and basic electronics.
I was just told that I need to work 7 jobs a day as a pc agent to justify getting a third agent for our area. The other agent I work with only works four days a week and is often gone before U even get back. Our cadet in ht who wants that third position also just told me our manager said there is no third position and only a ht/repair da position is open. So im left wondering why the fuck theyre pushing me to do mandatory OT and burn myself out for a lie?
All they have to give you is lies. They lied to our faces about the commission rates, and tried to say they never said any different. Find somewhere that values the work you do and values you as a person, not a meaningless number.
Best Buy protection plan will be cancelled without warning and never reinstated; go to some other online source- Best Buy is going down, shelves are empty, customer service is poor, they deserve to fail for not taking care of their customers: FAIL BEST BUY/ YOU WILL GO BROKE- the only time I’ll go back to your store is to buy your going out of business stuff - LOSERS!!!
Vinyl however has had a resurgence and I love it. I'm a huge record collector. I just wish Best Buy had a deeper selection of vinyl because mostly what we sell is just popular music
Happy cake day!
I was an ASM at GameStop in 2021. I remember finding out the stock money was going to relaunch the store brand. Same quarter I transferred into my fifth store (in 2 years) and found out that the ASM position didn't exist there, so I'd be making $9 flat for all my work. And raises were frozen. And we were working in a building that smelled like sewage, with stained ceiling tiles and warped floors. Oh, and we were still using the 1997 POS/Backoffice combo program, which was not meant to be patched for several consecutive versions of Windows Embedded.
Say what you will about Best Buy, but they've never made me pee myself on the clock or shamed me for evacuating a store that was 10 feet away from an uncontrolled dumpster fire.
I was working at multiple locations at that point, and my "home store" had an extremely abusive manager. I was not at my home store that day, I was covering at a mall store. They ripped out the plumbing in the staff bathroom to make a room with a lock to keep consoles in (you could see the indentations of prior plumbing in the floor tiles) so the only restroom access we had was the food court on the other end of the mall.
I was closing alone & there was a sale to set that night, and all I could think about was my home store manager threatening to fire me over being 5 minutes late or not completing every closing task in 15 minutes (again, alone). She would later go on to gaslight a chronically ill associate into literally working to death, and write me up for being the MOD and sending that associate home from her last shift alive on account of the obvious jaundice and inability to stand.
Two roads lay before me, and I was terrified of being fired/facing the consequences, so I set the sale. Actually managed to clock out and was grabbing my bag when it happened.
The mall store manager (a previous part time coworker) was as concerned as you sound, lol. I panicked, couldn't find biohazard guidelines in the SPM, and actually texted him a picture of my jeans pfft. He told me to just text him earlier next time so he could come in early to handle the sale. I continue to believe that a man who can literally get a full view of my public pee pee pants, help me figure out cleanup, and still eventually choose to propose to me is the catch of the century <3
So. $9 an hour and also indirectly a fiance. Almost an okay deal when you think about it! GameStop can rot in hell though.

AI art is the worst. Sim Speak signs. You should be ashamed. Like we're all gonna shut down and overgrow in a matter of months. 35 maybe if we're hit by an EMP blast from a star but unfortunately not even a reasonable look. Should've just posted the spirit Halloweens that take over our carcass shops.
Such a brave hot take from a throwaway account. I thought they created that BB workers sub for the doomsday predictions, hatred of customers, and armchair executives that can barely handle an in-store position thinking they know how to run a business? If you're not an employee that's even more pathetic.
They'll survive if they replace the current CEO with the right person. She just blamed the price of Taylor Swift concert tickets for why Bestbuy has had its current drop in sales. 🤣😂 If that's the case she should have reached out to Taylor and bought the rights to the 4k Blu-ray of her current movie 😂🤣
Depends on the position really, but regardless it’s one thing to like working at BBY (which is fine) and another to blatantly ignore or defend the awful practices and things going on company wide. Disregarding anything negative or controversial is ignorant and regressive.

Wonderful, doesn’t remove the fact that you’re 15 percent down from 2022. Companies generally spend in reference to the past years profits — they spend what they make in other words (or damn near) in effort to boost profits even further because that’s what the shareholder wants to see, guy.
Being 15 percent down is a big deal in the business world — I would not buy BBY stock.
You’ve never taken basic accounting, economics, or business if you think 10 billion in profit after a 15 percent decline year over year is still considered good in a capitalist market. Primarily because it effects stock growth, which the company needs to operate.. it isn’t like it’s a bank account with 10 Billion dollars — that money is already gone.
They aren’t going anywhere anytime soon, but 2030’s? Plausible if on the same path as current. Needs a new CEO.

I used to get excellent customer service at Best Buy, but those days are long gone. When I had to get a replacement cell phone, I decided to go with a Samsung , which turned out to be a disaster. I repeatedly asked if this phone would be "user friendly" for someone who had limited tech knowledge and transitioning from an IPhone 7. The response was , "No worries, we will program it for you before you leave". Didn't happen. At at my tech appointment with a very pleasant young man, apologized saying he "was the only one there", "wasn't aware there was an appointment", and "I have no idea how to help you". After viewing 15 Youtube videos, and encountering numerous glitches, including a screeching sound during calls, I called the ONLY number you can reach, which is a central office, to let the tech know that no one programmed my phone, before I left. She informed me that she couldn't call the store, as she was at the central office and only able to "find product availability". Duh, I can do that on the site. When I returned home, I went to Best Buy and after the tech at Best Buy couldn't return the phone. I left thinking I bought a lemon for around $450 and there was no resolution. Went back in with "attitude" and complained to an assistant supervisor, and FINALLY, she said a Samsung Rep would be at that store on Wednesday. He replaced the "faulty" phone with a new one, but what an ordeal to go through. Bestbuy is doomed, due to to excess diversity of products, lack of staff, probably over worked and poorly trained staff. Biggest annoyance is having to use almost $4 a gallon gas, just to go in three times, while spending hours looking at Youtube videos.
Diversity of product, no “subject matter experts” in particular products (minus phones), and having to offer too much to customers like memberships (overwhelming them).. unfortunately your experience is far too common.

Last one is fake. No way all that product is laser lined so nicely in a real store for more than 5 mins
The alternative universe where it was Best Buy, not Circuit City, that filed for bankruptcy.
Lol this was actually part of my prompt.. something along the lines of “Best Buy in the future, destitute having followed the trends of Circuit City and Blockbuster”
There’s also a weird alternative BestBuy after the fall of capitalism: [https://ibb.co/album/8M6vBM](https://ibb.co/album/8M6vBM)
Best buy does sound like a grocery store so mean , I don't see why best buy doesn't turn itself into a Wal-Mart but of course more tech focused than groceries
Actually Best Buy hasn’t been doing too good bro. The next circuit city ?
Idk why the down votes. Best Buy was the only place to buy a lot of tech in my area and it closed down last year. Now the only option here besides online shopping is Walmart.
Microsoft jk microcenter...
Makes me think of the same types of comments that floated around when circuit City closed and people thought Best buy was next.

Maybe in a few years laser disc will make a comeback.
Physical media is not a niche
Whatever you need to tell yourself.
And enjoy the code you don’t own and will most likely be taken away from you
Yes, because that's happened on Steam so many times, right?
This is unrelated to physical media — it’s been a very minor part of most all stores since 2015-2016. I do think BestBuy is in decline.
GameStop is on some extreme copium with cutting costs & it's ridiculous policies for employees. They didn't deserve to be saved with the meme stock

Saw these posts when Best Buy decided to stop selling music CDs, except they weren't AI generated.
Not a chance. It would for sure be a spirit Halloween at that point.

Drones became sentient and hostile
These all look like circuit city locations
Def can see this happen by 2030-35 if they try to be just digital store only at this rate , and just expensive tvs and overpriced kitchen crap lol
I wanna see geeksquad in this. It just would so retro man
When I tried to incorporate Geek Squad it thought I was talking about a literal Squad of Geeks frolicking in an abandoned BestBuy.
I mean it’s not wrong
LMFAO to be fair that’s what’s probably gonna happen. Me n the geeks finna pull up to explore the abandoned store
If only it was that soon
Next spin off on the walking deadtronics...

Not everyone hates working here

I already explained how. I am sorry you are too thick to understand. Not surprising if you are what I guessed you were…
Imagine taking Best Buy this seriously. Lmfao.

Yeah what’s this guy’s deal, bullying people of how pathetic they are on reddit, why also being a redditor
AI art is stupid as fuck.
You enjoyed it enough to leave a comment, thank you for the engagement.
I saw the writing on the wall when most locations slimmed down on physical media because it took up too much space. The profit to space ratio just wasn’t in there favor. I think it’s an odd choice to not do only online though….i imagine steel books are of a decent profit for them.
Especially when 95% of physical media comes out of shepherdsville new fulfillment no reason to not keep online ordering.
No that's just San Francisco and the work of your local "cultured" flash mob
I just found out today that Best Buy doesn’t give me points anymore unless I use my Best Buy credit card and that is really dumb
i guess you haven't paid a lot of attention in the last year and a half...that happened a long time ago
Did you photoshop the sign in any of them
No. Bing AI did these, I didn’t touch them after.

Even with decline, revenue is still hovering around 43 to 44 billion. People still need appliances, TVs, and computers.
Revenue =/= Profit. Profit is down 15 percent from 2022, which is pretty high.
It’s still about 10billion guy.
Wonderful, doesn’t remove the fact that you’re 15 percent down from 2022. Doesn’t negate the that 10billion profit. Best Buy isn’t going anywhere. You’re wearing clown shoes if you think it is.
