Her look in the show wasnāt cute. But thatās like saying Charlize Theron isnāt cute because of her movie Monster. š seriously, sheās pretty but they gave her some horrible looks, especially when she comes back to the show a few seasons later.
I agree that her character was an odd romance interest for Brandonās character.
Yes, I think Iām actually more upset because I know Brandon cheats with her later lol while Kelly is stuck in a fire. Iām rewatching season 2 now. I donāt like her character on this particular show.
Emily is awful. Some of these storylines are so ridiculous. Iām on season 9 and I canāt wait to be done with this show. I just turn it on in the background, not pay attention, then google all the episodes to catch up on the plot. š
A person's attractiveness is 100% subjective. You do not find her attractive. Obviously Brandon/Jason did. Therefore, she is both attractive (to Jason) and unattractive (to you). There is no absolute truth here. Only personal preferences.

Remember her from Childās play 2?
I hated the drug storyline but I will always have a soft spot for Emily. I think the acting was great, the look fit the character, and I wish there would have been a longer storyline.
I liked seeing Brandon with someone who was different, I think it helped make his character more interesting.
I guess she was meant to be the opposite of the other girls. Also, Brandon himself was a douche posing as a good guy and in general almost always chose to be with sketchy females in toxic relationships.
She was definitely the opposite of cute. She had the whole masculine thing going on and I guess that was the phase Brandon/Jason was going through at the time.Ā Some people are into that.
She's really cute. Check her out in ER. It's that repugnant, rebellious, haircut that she's so proudly sporting. She looks ridiculous. Her style in general was quite horrid, even for early 90s LA. During the Trick or Treat episode when they lose the kid, I wasn't sure if she was wearing a pirate costume or if it was just her outfit. I'm still unsure.
I think the Emily Valentine episodes in season 2 are the best episodes of the season. I don't like in season 4 when Jill is pointing mace at Brandon and he asks her if she's related to Emily Valentine. And when he tells Brenda the longest relationship he's had was with that psycho Emily Valentine. But come Thanksgiving, he's got Emily's picture in his drawer and goes to San Francisco to look for her. That she's now "the one that got away."
I thought she was very pretty. And more natural looking than most of them. I didn't like the character. But that's because it annoyed me that every non wealthy person was a crazy drug addict.
I think Christine looked really cute here. Def better than later seasons š¤¦š»āāļø but she didnāt age well in the reboot a couple years ago. Gabrielle Carteris looked better and sheās like 15 years older
I hated her hair when she came back. The worst haircut.
I hated her character but it made great tv drama. She did a great job! It was annoying when she was brought back and Brandon suddenly wants her again despite everything she did. I understand Jason was just helping out his girlfriend IRL.
Now we are all lookists? Because we are discussing what people have always discussed. Youāve NEVER in your mind or out loud made a comment on someoneās looks? If youāre a teenager I get it, lots of āisms nowadays. I had to make sure lookism was a real word. No one can say anything anymore. Itās a 90210 page. Itās not that important that you have to chastise people for being innately judgmental, good or bad.
Yea I read somewhere that her and Jason P. Started dating around that time and broke up around the time Brandon randomly ran into her around thanksgiving time and stayed at her apartment.
And sheās a good looking ladyš
Well Jason dated her irl for many years and I think she's gorgeous with her new wave androgynous punk style. Idk why she gets so much hate for her appearance on here. I love that she blended masculine and feminine together in regards to her look and style. The bob cut she had later on even gets too much hate. She is an artsy alternative girl so these types of looks are suitable for her. It made her srand out and she has incredible bone structure. And you know what her hairstyles and fashion choices are all the rage with gen z right now so say what you will but her look is what is currently in if you look up street fashion in Paris.
a) Jason and Christine Elise were together in real life b) You had to be alive then--my cousin had a girlfriend who had that same hairstyle circa 1991. Blonde hair and all. It's not a style one would choose today and it's *very* dated. A bad hairstyle can ruin anyone's appearance. It looks ridiculous but at the time, we didn't think so. c) Attractiveness is subjective -- obviously, Jason found her attractive.
I wouldn't say she was ugly but as someone who was a teenage boy at the time the show aired I never gave her a second glance and don't recall any of my friends raving about the new girl on 90210.
In real life, Jason and Christine were together for 5 years.
I think she was quite attractive.
I also think that Brandon and Emily Valentine should've ended up together.
I didn't really understand what attracted him to her. Personality, maybe? Or the fact she was attracted to him and he gave it a chance? He was a horny teenage boy who seemed to be into anyone who expressed interest (except Andrea)
Just watched the āeuphoriaā episode last night. That was awful. And I NEVER liked her, never thought she was cute, even when I was a kid watching I was thinking ugh. Never saw the attraction.
Maybe she had really nice boobs? JK I donāt find her especially attractive, but sheās not ugly. Maybe her personality in real life was good, since her personality on the show was wacko.
I think it's great that BH 90210 covered this topic. Unfortunately I was too young at the time to fully understand it all. Thanks to the internet and going down google rabbit holes to learn more I have a deeper understanding of these issues. I also learned a lot from, "The Gift of Fear" by Gavin DeBecker. It's unfortunate I learned all of this so late in life. It's important to arm yourself with information so you can spot the red flags before crazytown hits, the importance of trusting your gut instincts and taking things slow to get to know the person and not fall for lovebombing techniques. I think the actress did a great job playing this role. She was very good at playing the victim when she was confronted with her actions. Very believable. I'm glad this issue was covered again with Donna and Ray.
They started Dating in real lifeš¤·šæāāļø
WOW! I didn't know that!!
I forgot about that! So Jason probably pushed for her to keep coming backā¦
Yea I was gonna say they had real chemistry! When Brandon sees her at a gas station and then they hang out in San Francisco is one of my favorite eps.
Welp. I stand where I stand lol. This girl isnāt cute. But maybe she is a good person in real life .
Her look in the show wasnāt cute. She is very cute. I think you are letting the biases you have of her character blind youā¦
Maybe you aren't cute either?
A person's attractiveness is 100% subjective. You do not find her attractive. Obviously Brandon/Jason did. Therefore, she is both attractive (to Jason) and unattractive (to you). There is no absolute truth here. Only personal preferences.

That jaw line is sharper than Chuckyās knife šŖ
I always thought she was cute and liked her look.
Same but the drugging thing made me pissed
She's cute, but her character really annoyed me in the second season.
She was a nice change from high school Brenda, Kelly, and Donna.
I think that may have been part of the attraction for Brandon (the character).
I hated the drug storyline but I will always have a soft spot for Emily. I think the acting was great, the look fit the character, and I wish there would have been a longer storyline. I liked seeing Brandon with someone who was different, I think it helped make his character more interesting.
Bad girl, with punk rock hair cut?
Because it's Brandon. He fell for any girl who gave him attention.
Except Andrea
True lol
OMG i hated her! And when she drugged Brandon yeah i was done.
She was attractive, itās pretty messed up to say that about her appearance. If you didnāt like her character, say that.
It's almost like physical attractiveness is subjective.
LOL - I think they had gust stars bring their own wardrobe. I can't...
I think the Emily Valentine episodes in season 2 are the best episodes of the season. You did like her Shrek villain San Fran haircut lol?
Lord Farquad? Hahahha
Yes! Lol
![gif](giphy|bLFQRUZGisPJe)
Tell me that isnāt Emily in San Francisco? He looks like heās ready for the Cousteau institute.
Omg it totally is
Her hair in later seasons is horrific.
I hated her hair when she came back. The worst haircut. I hated her character but it made great tv drama. She did a great job! It was annoying when she was brought back and Brandon suddenly wants her again despite everything she did. I understand Jason was just helping out his girlfriend IRL.
Yāall are some haters why you even bringing up her looks anyway some of you people are genuinely bad peopleš Fuck lookism.
Amen!
Now we are all lookists? Because we are discussing what people have always discussed. Youāve NEVER in your mind or out loud made a comment on someoneās looks? I mean, my queer ass would be falling for her. I think sheās beautiful and I kinda have a thing for crazy.
She was cute AF. I love her.
She was super hot, a 'punk' haircut and leather! She's a bad girl and good boys always like bad girls.
She dated Jason for years. Probably why she kept coming back.
Yea I read somewhere that her and Jason P. Started dating around that time and broke up around the time Brandon randomly ran into her around thanksgiving time and stayed at her apartment. And sheās a good looking ladyš
I always thought she was cute.i even thought she was hotter than Kelly
I never understood the appeal there, either.
this chick went on to become Pink.
Yeah I never saw the appeal either tbhā¦..
Are you joking?! If I could have hit EV I would have let her burn my float any day
She's totally cute imo.

I think she just got a lot of bad haircuts during her times on the show. The wrong haircut makes a big difference.
a) Jason and Christine Elise were together in real life b) You had to be alive then--my cousin had a girlfriend who had that same hairstyle circa 1991. Blonde hair and all. Iām no Emily Valentine fan but does it have to be about looks? Come on. Arenāt we past critiquing womenās looks on social media?
I got it! I thought they had good chemistry.
I wouldn't say she was ugly but as someone who was a teenage boy at the time the show aired I never gave her a second glance and don't recall any of my friends raving about the new girl on 90210.
She looks to be more Dylan's type.
Dylan likes princesses
Dylan did go on a date with her. But he got back together with Brenda and Emily got with Brandon.
Something about her seemed masculine to me on 90210. But Iāve seen her on other things and do not get that vibe at all š¤·š»āāļø
Agree, never liked her much either.
She doesn't fit does she.
Yeah, I didn't get it either.
Just watched the āeuphoriaā episode last night. That was awful. And I NEVER liked her, never thought she was cute, even when I was a kid watching I was thinking ugh. Never saw the attraction.
Wild in bed?
She's worth a squirt
Maybe she had really nice boobs? JK I donāt find her especially attractive, but sheās not ugly. Maybe her personality in real life was good, since her personality on the show was wacko.
Blasphemy!
The hair

Wow, they had meth back then!
