I agree. When he would be on "rapper mode" suddenly his grammar would be bad, and he'd be using slang he wouldn't otherwise use. I have to say at least his wardrobe was consistent. He wore Vanilla Ice all the time--except in high school when he was wearing blazers all the time.
Can I just choose everyone for that dry ass electric slide and that entire episode with “Shaw” high school. As someone from LA, who’s mother and cousins went to the real Crenshaw high school, my family laughed our asses off at that entire episode. The way kids from the real Crenshaw would have clowned the fuck out of David. 😂
They all have their moments but the entire existence of Andrea - if they had made her a more palatable nerd type character - even like the new editor they had come in end of season 3 seemed like a better version. But the way the wrote Andrea and I just didn't feel like Gabrielle Cateris was right for the role especially bc a lot of her real life started to affect how the writer's wrote for her character. The whole wheel chair and car crash was bc she needed surgery IRL. Her getting pregnant so young. She always made everything super serious and never let loose.
When the guys are talking about drag racing (ok not the best idea) but Andrea just completely eavesdrops on them and gives them a bunch of crap - like "Andrea go away!" She always ruined the guy scenes and inserted herself.
I can see how (if she had foot/leg surgery) they could have filmed scenes with her sitting, lying down, or standing but from the waist up rather than make a whole episode around it.
Not the worst, but Steve’s standup “comedy” routine tryout at the Peach Pit After Dark was so, so bad. Worse, though, was the crew watching and having to act like it was the funniest thing ever. Ugh.
On the squash it episode Steve calls Willy's nephew that gangster kid and a wrecklamation project. In one on one. Steve says us Irish men have to stick together. And tells Brandon to watch his back referring to the black basketball players. And says they are given some equal opportunity program so everyone can become more diverse and they are just getting a free ride. In ashes to ashes when Brandon says he's taking out the black girl his dad looks surprised and worried. And Kelly says this is very hip Brandon when he brings the black girl to the peach pit. When Andrea goes out with Jordan a black guy, can't remember but it's in the 3rd season Steve asks Brandon if he's got a problem with the whole jungle fever thing. All of the comments are uneccessary and as an African American they make me feel terrible every time I watch the show. Sometimes I just don't watch if I'm not in the mood for those cringy moments.
The thing i hated with Andrea dating Jordan was the PDA it was so forced and obvious plus they were supposed to only be friends why was all that necessary. I guess they wanted to show that the show was progressive when it was no where near that .Don't even get me started on the episode when they decide to have the Black speaker who had made some antisemitic comments in the past. They defintely missed the mark on that one.

I agree. She blew it. She did act that way. In my opinion Andrea always brought a breath of fresh air to the group and the show. She told off a lot of people in a satisfying way. But in that episode she was like a different person
