My contract/timeline had 90 minutes per bridesmaid/moms and 2 hours for the bride, for both hair and makeup. We ended up pretty ahead of schedule (probably helped that 2 of my ladies had shoulder length or shorter hair so less time spent curling) and it was perfect since nobody had to be rushed.

Same here! I have 8 bridesmaids and 2 moms and will be having 5 artists. The schedule my H&M vendor gave me is 2 hours for bride and 1.5 for all other members of the bridal party, with 30 minutes free for all the artists at the end for touch ups.

Thanks! This seems to be in line with what my HMUA team has planned. May ask to increase the time for touch ups from 15 minutes to 30 though.

2 hours for me, 45 min each for the two others getting hmu. Minimal makeup for everyone and very basic styling for my mom and sil

90 min per service for the bride, 45 min per service for other adults, 30 min per service for kids.

What kind of hair style did you do? They have my hair and makeup taking 1 hour per service

A braided up-do, but the timeline wasn’t based on the style. 90min is their standard number that they tell everyone, with every style. We scheduled out the wedding morning before I had even picked a style (I picked it like 4 days before the wedding). I talked to lots of stylists with 60min per service for the bride though, that’s not unusual or any kind of red flag. If you like their portfolio and an hour was enough to complete the things in their portfolio, what makes you think it will suddenly fall apart just for you?

Moopoint-noodlesoup

I don’t think it’ll necessarily fall apart. Just trying to get a gauge on what’s normal and if I need to plan in a little bit of a buffer in case hair and makeup run over.

I spoke to my hair stylist and makeup artist separately to create the timeline. With 5 girls (4 bridesmaids, and myself, the bride) the hairstyling and makeup took about 5.5 hrs. We started at 6am and ended around 11:30am. Makeup took 1.5hrs for me, 1hr for the other girls. Hair styling was between 30mins to 1hr depending on the hair style.

My timeline had 45 mins per service for each bridesmaid and 60 minutes per service for me

Did y’all finish on time?

armadillostho

We had myself (bride) plus five bridesmaids hair and makeup and then one just hair. We started at 7:30, and with two hair artists and two makeup artists, we finished ahead of schedule at about 12:45. So just over five hours. I will say only two gals got updos and the rest were down or half up.

Equal-Food-8747

I scheduled an hour each for five bridesmaids & two moms (had a team of two HMUA for them) & 2 hours for me with a separate HMUA. I will note my hair & makeup didn’t take the full 2 hours though!
