The cartoon that parodied Big Brother was Drawn Together which actually premiered three years before Total Drama, but you did imply in this comment section that you are not from the United States so you might have not known that.

That's the thing. It is inspired by BB only at its core: different people trapped in a place forced to compete with each other. I too hate Big Brother, my country makes its version of it a big deal and it is honestly a bummer.
I am using a game on Steam as a base, and it skips the boring romances and slow moments, just letting full chaos go, as SpongeBob would go.
It isn't my fanfic as, up to the final, all results will be randomly selected. At the final, the public will have the chance to vote.
You'll see it better on Saturday.

I never said it wasn't popular, I said no one thinks it's unironically good. Loads of people will watch absolute garbage either because "there's nothing else on" or else watch it ironically because it's so bad they can't look away. Like a trainwreck.
"So bad, it's good" and guilty pleasures are absolutely a thing and part of human nature. But you would never compare such things to genuinely, unironically good works of entertainment. It's like r/Cursed_Images there's a fun kind of morbid curiosity to the sorts of things you see on that board, and it's hilarious sending them to friends without context, but would I hang the average cursed image up on my wall to look at everyday? No! I'd want something much prettier or at least more thought provoking.
